Location

Booking.com description and room size did not match the room I was given. Strong smell of drains in the bathroom.

The location is very convenient, clean and spacious room.

On line check in did not work well. The cleaning service came at 9.00 in the morning and was not happy that the room was not free yet. She was almost waiting outside the room, putting pressure on us to leave the room

Flat was comfortable and warm. Soundproofing was good, which is useful as flat is in busy area. arrangements to get in were easy. Very good food shops across the road, and a cafe underneath. About 10 minutes walk from rail/bus station and the nearest metro station. The apartment is a bit off-centre ,but we had no difficulty walking to all the main attractions from the flat. We were 8 euros for a taxi from the station to the flat.

There are 2 parallel methods of communicating with Bob, one on WhatsApp and one by email. Use the WhatsApp , the email team are like their apartments..rather casual.

They thought about everything that a traveler might need. I loved that they offered me a crib and a high chair for my baby. I like that the kitchen included amenities such as detergent, new dish sponge and laundry pods. If need fresh towels or additional amenities you can grab them from the common room. They also provided a tote bag and an old video game console. They also had ground coffee to brew you a cup of coffee as soon as you got to the room and reusable water bottles to drink tap water. The location could not be more perfect. A 5 minutes walk to a subway station, 10 minutes walk to a train station. A large produce market across the street which includes a Mercadona (supermarket). A coffee store next to the building which made it very convenient to go down to grab a coffee. A lot of good restaurants in the vicinity, pizza, ramen, Spanish food of course, even Thai, you choose. You can even walk to Plaza del Sol (30 min walk) or to El Retiro (15 minutes walk). We loved it so much that next time we are in the city, this will be the first place we will check for availability.

Free use of washers (and soap) with drying racks in the aprtment; no front desk but communication via WhatsApp was prompt and responsive. 2 bedroom with 2 baths, kitchen and common area with a dining table and sofabed worked great for our party of 5. The bulletin board in the kitchen gave quick facts/references about the building and surrounding area; a canvas tote bag (with the Bob W. Arte name/logo) was available for us to use and take home.

Taxis weren't too familiar with the location when we gave the address (we had to show a picture of the building).

We liked almost everything, bed very comfortable , everything very clean, very quiet , good sound proofing from outside street. Very good checking in system with good quality door code devices. Excellent heating system when the weather was poor. Pleased with location …..close to town centre, shops museums sights etc, large supermarket and fruit/veg /meat/fish mercado across the road. Loads of good priced bars, cafes and restaurants close by . Atoche station , metro stop and airport bus stop 500 - 600 metres away.

The only improvement we would make would be a larger sink. We like to cook , and with all that fresh produce across the street we wanted to get stuck in. But washing up was quite a chore , even the plates wouldn t fit into the sink properly. A small comfortable sofa would also have been welcome

Absolutely fantastic stay with Bob in every aspect. Beautiful, super clean and comfortable apartment with great attention to detail and everything you could possibly need. We even had New Year’s Eve grapes and bottle of fizz waiting for us together with lovely personal message. Very easy check in/ out , easy contact, central location and very quiet and warm/ safe place to stay. Love the app where you can check in/out but also find all sorts of information about Madrid attractions, restaurants etc.Just amazing! We wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Highly recommended for everyone. Everything was perfect

This is a lovely room in Atocha, about a 10' walk to the Prado and Reina Sofia museums, and a 5' walk from L3 metro. It has a well equipped kitchen, a very comfortable bed, and good AC and wifi. The washer and yoga mats were very appreciated. The rooms were quiet as the walls and windows are soundproofed, with only occasional noise from the corridor. Mercado de Santa Maria across the square was a true find, with market stalls selling everything including prepared food, under a single rooftop. This should be added to the BobW Atocha Guide. Communication with BobW via WhatsApp was excellent. A great find.

I chose this place as I needed to be near Atocha train station as I was one of the people whose train was deviated to Madrid on the way to Valencia because of DANA. So after all the shock and the stress and without having ANY clothes with me, only my bag, it was extremely important to me to be nearby the train station in order to go and check the status of the trains and the updates of the situation and the options we got. I really appreciated being able to do the laundry there as I didn't have any clothes to change with me... I slept well and was able to buy something to eat from Mercadona which is in front of the building and do the laundry so it was exactly what I needed for my situation. I don't think I'd choose the place for vacation or other circumstances but for my specific situation it was a very good place to be :)

The whole concept of the building organization was incredibly effective and private, code to access building lobby and apartment is very clever and favorable for tenants to avoid issues with forgetting keys and magnetics cards losing info while getting close to your phone.. awesome idea and big help,, the apartment is extremely clean, well designed with beautiful style, bathroom is biiiig compared to other locations I’ve been in spain and spotless, brand new appliances or at least that’s the look of it, The location is minutes from public transport, groceries stores, restaurants, bakeries and of course Iconic places throughout the area,, I can keep going on with all the good stuff that this location provides but I think this might be enough for all the adventurous people out there to choose this place,, cheers!!
