Stayed in the triple room which is on the ground floor. Spotlessly clean sunlit room, air-conditioning worked well with 40 degree temperature outside, wifi was very good and allowed Teams/Zoom meetings. Hair dryer provided. Owner very helpful and responsive but not intrusive. We asked if a kettle could be provided and it was, which was very helpful. They also spontaneously provided a desk and chair when they realised I had some work to do, which was very kind. There is a communal microwave and an excellent supermarket within 5 minutes walk where we bought a lot of our food. Pleasant foyer area with tables and chairs where you can eat your own food. There was a Nespresso coffee machine in the room, for which capsules were available to buy, but we didn't use that. Quiet side street, five minute walk to beach and great restaurants/bars.

The location is fantastic. Pedregalejo and El Palo appear to be quite affluent areas, so it feels really safe. The hostel is close to a ton of shops, bakeries and cafes. There's Mercadona supermarket about 5 minute walk away which is really handy. It's only about a 10 minute walk to the beach. There's a stretch of beach between El Palo and Pedragalejo that has a great selection bars and restaurants along the prominade. The hostel itself is basic but perfectly adequate. Check in was quick and easy and my room was fine for my needs. You are provided with a room key that also acts as key for the main door of the hostel. The bed was comfortable and the bed linen smelled fresh and clean. The free Wifi seemed to be fast enough for streaming movies. So that's a plus for when you want to just chill. Plenty of hot water for showers. There is a bus stop about 5 minutes away that has regular buses into central Malaga.

Not much to complain about. The plastic furniture in my room could do with a bit of a refresh. It felt like it had seen better days. The shower in my room could do with a bit of a deep clean. It wasn't terrible but the floor definitely needs a clean.

Clean and comfortable. Great price. Bus to Malaga city center leaves from the nearest corner. Friendly staff. Wending machine and a microwave in the common area. Great breakfast place with english speaking staff nearby is tejeringos coffee.

AC was a bit noisy making cracking and popping sounds.

Hostal Moscatel was my refuge for just over a week. The staff was simply perfect, incredibly helpful with advice and assistance whenever needed. The location is simply exceptional; I loved this area, so close to the beach and all necessities while still feeling like I was in a very special area. Thank you.

Friendly staff - they helped with anything what we needed… I lost room card and i was prepared to pay for it but owner only responded don’t worry Clean room - room was cleaned almost every day Good location - it is easy to get there from the city center by bus 3,8,11. Room equipment - hair dryer, air conditioning, shower gel, towels

Very noisy - we couldn’t sleep a few nights because of the other guests, we heard everything what was happening in other rooms Extra place for drying clothes - this was only thing I missed there during our stay… we had to put towels on window frames to dry them

The location is excellent, it is close to the beach, great restaurants/cafes and a supermarket with regular buses into Malaga. The bed is comfortable and the rooms are clean. Would stay again.

Wonderful place. Very caring hotel host. Upon arrival, he provided all the information, offered a map, explained how to reach the center by public transport, where to find a bus stop, shops, where to eat. Gave a personal public transport card, so bus travel cost half as much as usual. He took care of everything so that it would be good to live in this temporary place. I’m not talking about pleasant communication that creates a special, cozy environment. Hotel in a very good location. To the sea about 5 min. Bus stop for buses to the center about 2 min. Buses run to the center very often and for a long time. To the center by bus about 15 - 20 minutes. There are many cafés and restaurants on the seafront. Here you can eat inexpensively, have a coffee, enjoy Spanish food, drinks and admire the beautiful nature. The beaches are beautiful, wide and clean. I spent a wonderful week in this place, I would love to come back again.
