It's a comfortable place to stay. A very small hostel only about 10 rooms accommodating varying numbers. It's a 15-20 bus ride out of Malaga. 20 mins taxi from airport. The bus is 2 mins walk from the hostel. €1.40 to Malaga. Loads to see and do there! Recommend the Alcazabar.. it's like a mini Alhambra but only €3.50! Not able to use beach due to the debris washed up by the floods. We chose the hostel because it was advertised as close to the beach. One day we had floods when we stayed but we were on the 1st floor. Great roof terrace to soak up the sun! Not a huge hostel but definitely a good way to meet new people!

You had to pay €10 to rent a locker to store bags on while waiting for a late flight. A lot of hostels have a free luggage store.

The hostel La Moraga de Poniente is pretty cool. I've felt very welcomed and safe there through my whole stay, which is great coming from a female solo traveller. The beds are comfortable and you're able to have a bit of privacy due to the curtains. The staff is amazing, especially the hostel manager Jonny, with whom you can have very great and wise conversations. Moreover, the hostel is pretty clean with a good kitchen, which has everything you need. It's a great place to socialize with like-minded people. The location in the Pedregalejo / El Palo neighborhood is pretty nice, because those are the more local neighborhoods of Málaga. Near to the hostel you can easily find a Mercadona and lots of other shops and bakeries to buy food and daily groceries. Also, the beach is pretty close to the hostel, you just have to go down the street, perfect for watching the sunset every evening. Furthermore the hostel offers a bike rental service.

It's nothing bad, but you have to know that the hostel is located a bit far off the city centre, which is why you have to take the bus using the bus lines 3, 8 or 11 for about 15-25 minutes, depending on where in the centre you want to go. Travel tip: every bus ride costs 1.40€, they accept card payment. There is room for improvement in terms of activities offered by the hostel, e.g. city walking tours to get to know the area and other hostel guests a bit more or cooking tacos or other big meals together. Also I would suggest the hostel to put up a board with information about free activities in the area, e.g. the Alcazaba is free on Sundays after 2pm. All in all the hostel has great potential!

This was my first experience in a hostel travelling solo and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! The location is perfect for when you want to be close to town, (especially) the beach, and if you prefer to be in a more local and chill area. I felt very safe walking alone at night, and the people in the neighbourhood are so friendly. The hostel looks like the pictures, and has a very welcoming and cosy vibe. There are plenty of common spaces to hang out (including a roof terrace with an amazing view both at day and night!!!). The kitchen has good facilities and there is a washing machine to use (against a small cost). The room I stayed in was spacious enough for everyone's stuff and the bed was comfortable. The road can be noisy, but thanks to the double-glazed doors (closing them at night cancels out the noise) and some earplugs, I slept like a baby. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I arrived late and received clear instructions for the check-in. I got some nice recommendations for places to visit in the area, and I had the most amazing and interesting conversations with Johnny, the hotel manager! Thank you so much for this lovely experience, I will be back soon <3.

Everything was actually perfect! The only thing I could note is that upon arriving in my room, I didn't understand how to lock/unlock my room (probably because I was tired from travelling). But then someone else staying in the room explained it to me and it was very clear. Some instructions could be helpful, but it's also possible to figure it out by yourself.

I loved the atmosphere at La Moraga de Poniente, it was really clean and accommodating. The beds were surprisingly equipped and private. We figured we had an AC mid week 😅 And there are 2 terraces, one of which I totally forgot to look for until another guest pointed out. Lovely hostel with really friendly staff that was always available for answering any questions. Highly recommend! Because of the hostel's location I also appreciated travelling outside of city centres and exploring the neighbourhood.

It is quite a noisy street and the isolation can't do much for light sleepers, so definitely recommend you het your earplugs with you. Other than that, would suggest changing the door knobs with more easier one's to minimise inconveniences for both parties.

Jonnhy is a ray of sunshine 🌝🌞 ! Good energy and so friendly and welcoming 😁😂 ! The localisation is a perfect place (next to the beach, 2 min to Mercadona and to the beach) also to the station bus. All is really clean and new ! Very confortable room (there is a big terrace in the room and we can see the sea, conforable bed with curtains, locker is really safe, towel is included), bathroom and kitchen are really clean and equipped... It's the best hostel in Málaga 😍 And the big rooftop is Amazing 🤗🏖💙 Library also 📚 I extended my stay for 1 week more 😋💙💙💙💙🌸📚🏖 because I love the vibe 💙🏖 Also, there is a washing machine for 2€ and an another terrace to dry the clothes and 1 terrace to eat 😁 Thank you so much you are the best 🏖🌝

I did like the fact that I felt comfortable. It was very clean, quiet, and organized. The location is not bad at all. To get to the center, you can take buses 3, 8, or 11. It does have a supermarket around the conner, and the beach is 5 minutes walking. The staff was great, especially Johnny! I do recommend the place 95%. The 5% because I did get lost at the arrival time and got late to the hostel since not enough details on how to get to the place was provided. 😎🥰

Better instructions in the arrival to get to the place!

I don't know why this place is being rated with only 8,2 when it deserves to be rated much higher. It has everything, and it's beautiful. The beds are extremely comfortable, I slept like a baby even though we had a roommate who snored so hard. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there is enough space for everyone. You can get a locker for free, you get a towel for free, you get a hair dryer for free. We need to be grateful for the fact we don't need to pay anything extra because the price is already so cheap. The check-in process was smooth, just make sure to mention your arrival time to the staff. The location is distant from the city center, but it still does not matter because there would be a bus every time I stepped outside. Also, if you want to go to Nerja, which I recommend, the bus stops nearby the accommodation. Last but not least - explore the neighborhood, it is beautiful, safe and peaceful. Also, the beach is much more beautiful than the public beach in Malaga.

It is well located, the area is residential and quiet. The beach is just a couples of blocks away! - gorgeous and peaceful! You can see it from the terrace! The bus stops are just around the corner. It’s less than 15 minutes away from the city center. There is a Mercadona less than two blocks away, as well as other places for your everyday needs. The room with curtains is super comfortable, and even with the street next to it, you can sleep very well. The staff is really nice, always kind and helpful. You can do your laundry as well as cook in the kitchen.

The labeling of the food can be improved.

The location is a little outside Malaga where mostly locals live. It's ok since it's a quiet area and you have a good view on the terrace in the hostel. Johnny was a very chill guy and was always looking to help with whatever you needed.

The only thing I probably didn't like is that there are not many people in the hostel. Most people are outside during the day and there's not many common areas in the hostel. Maybe the hostel should try to organize some activities.
