Friendly staff. Rooms kept impeccably clean. Location excellent. We have come here many times over the years and will come again.

We do not consider that the range of breakfast offering is value for money when compared to what is available in cafe/ restaurant around the corner. Perhaps a bit more imagination in how the pricing is structured in PCH would help make the breakfast price more competitive.

The Plaza Cavana Hotel is perfectly located for everything in Nerja including restaurants. In particular the reception staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. The servicing of the room was excellent and the hotel was spotlessly clean. The beds were extremely comfortable and as we had an interior room overlooking the garden area the room was very quiet and we had a very good nights sleep.

The room we had was very quiet but as the window was opposite the bed it was overlooked by everyone who used the corridors to other rooms around the garden. Therefore the shutters had to be permanently closed or the curtains pulled at all times for privacy which made the room very dark. Bathroom was a bit dated but spotlessly clean and the shower quite inadequate with no flow. Most of all the most disappointing thing about the hotel was the quality of the breakfast. Breakfast room was closed at 11.00 and despite arriving at 10.00 am items had already run out or looked like they had been sitting around for a long time. No croissants, bread was rock hard seemed stale. Admittedly we had read previous reviews and only had breakfast one day.

Our room was beautiful, spacious with modern facilities. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Our room was at the front of the premises because we love to hear the buzz of activity in the square below our balcony. The location is perfect for everything, including the Balcon and the staff are always helpful, polite and willing to assist you with anything from taxis to local attractions.

I've been to the hotel many times and this is more about other guests, not the hotel. In the past I have always been able to visit the pool and obtain a sunbed. However, guests now seem to think it is appropriate to get to the pool early and place towels on sunbeds, which then sit empty for hours until that guest decides they want to sunbathe. This could easily be stopped by placing a sign at the pool that beds cannot be reserved and any towels on unoccupied beds will be removed. It's fair and stops this ridiculously, selfish behaviour. Incidentally, these were all UK guests!

We loved the location which was within walking distance of all local amenities. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much to ask for. The rooms were clean, bright & perfect for us . With French doors opening up to the square below, with a glimpse of the Sea too, but when shut the hustle & bustle if the square was not noticeable. The roof top pool and bar area were amazing and a great place for an afternoon swim after shopping or all day sunbathing if you so desired. The hotel also offered well priced trips beyond Nerja and a buffet breakfast as an extra cost. Overall a very enjoyable short break for us and definately a hotel we will return too. I find it hard to understand that this hotel is only rated a 3* as it certainly seemed a much higher rating based on our experience of 4* star hotels.

Unfortunately the pool area in the roof top is rather small and wouldn’t accommodate all guests. However on our visit there was always a sun bed to be had.

Second stay here, which should tell you something! It's the best location in Nerja- right in the middle of everything. You'd think that being based on a noisy square, you'd be awake all night but the sound proofing is exceptional. Early morning routine was to walk up to Salvadore's bakery and get coffee and croissants, then wander down to the Playa Salon to eat them and watch the sun rise.

Everything was excellent. We didn't try Breakfast here as preferred to be by the sea.

The room was good and the wardrobe was roomy with drawers and a safe. There were extra pillows and blankets, although they were not needed. Lovely large shower and good toiletries. Good size swimming pool with adequate loungers. lovely view from there too. Receptionists were very friendly and helpful. Very central location. Oh and I had a little balcony with shutters.

The location was a bit noisy with revellers late at night and early morning workers hosing down the square. Nothing anyone can do about it and it was reflected in the price. Bought some earplugs and problem solved.. However, anyone sensitive to noise needs to be aware.

I couldn't fault this hotel. It had the best location. Very quiet, very clean, staff were soo helpful. Pool was perfect and the poolside food was gorgeous. Beds were soo comfortable. We had a wonderful time and if I was ever to go to Nerja again, I would def stay there. I'll be back someday

The only fault was the collection of the rubbish bins outside my window a couple of nights! Very noisy but not a big issue. think it was 2 out of the 7 nights for 10 mins.

Spotlessly clean and very comfortable room. The hotel was in the perfect location for us. Lots of places to walk to and a huge choice of good restaurants and bars with excellent customer service. Hotel staff were lovely and very welcoming and the building has kept it's charm. Good sized shower too. We were on the opposite side of the building to the plaza and whilst I'm sure it would have been lovely to look out over there we were perfectly happy. I suspect we had the quieter side. Would definitely recommend

Nothing to dislike. Parking is a challenge though we were lucky and found a space nearby and there is a large car park not too far away that I think would work fine for most people.

we have stayed here before, 2 years ago, retuned due to th quality of the hotel, the location, staff and lovely rooms. certainly exceeds the 3 star rating, should be 4 really.

maybe breakfast could be better, although there was everything you would want, maybe more choice and better quality English breakfast but we only ate here once. still good value.

Cleanliness location and staff.

Disorganised breakfast. I had to show people how to use the toaster, where to get cutlery etc. Some mornings it was a free for all, other mornings were quiet. I forgot to bring a teapot with me to make tea before bedtime, i asked to borrow one and offered a deposit but was told No! I tried to buy one locally but couldnt find a shop. I appreciate this was my fault but i feel they could have been a little more accommodating.
