The location, so much nature all around. So much fresh air. Stunning view, even from our bedroom window! There are trails around the estate, a waterfall and a nice 30 minute walk. The property is an old home (300 years) , it is well kept and maintained and stunning! The furniture is so comfortable. So many rooms and places to just sit and relax. Every room is more beautiful than the next, the view is beautiful, a perfect place to relax. The breakfast is not a buffet, you get a menu and order anything you want. Instead of them making a lot of food and throwing it all away.

The staff felt a bit stingy. We asked for them to refill our bottles and they said that this once it’s okay but we shouldn’t drink the tap water (even though it’s okay to drink and later when we asked again to fill up they filled them up with tap water). We ended up coming without a car and needed a ride back and forth from the train and they took 5€ per person per direction even though it’s just a 5 minute drive. The restaurant is available for diner- very expensive and if you are vegetarian you won’t have anything to eat. I ordered risotto- it was a tiny dish (although delicious) and expensive. Not worth the money. Also we paid 5€ for a piece of bread and a tomato cut in half.

This is a very special hotel, an old English style country house with antique furnishings, set in a totally peaceful valley with stunning views all around. There are large amounts of comfy communal seating in the lounge, the library, the entrance hall, and the patios. The food was excellent, we booked dinner, bed & breakfast and couldn't fault it. We'd love to come again one day

The only improvement we could think of would be a second comfy chair in the bedroom as you don't always want to head off to the lounge.

The reception at the desk was very friendly and inviting. We received a detailed introduction about all the available facilities and various shared spaces such lounge, library, breakfast room and seperate restaurant. Dinner in the La Santa restaurant. Breakfast next morning was very complete

The first few feet from the parking area to the rection are unpaved and as a result not easy to cover with heavy luggage. Once on the paved entrance way it was fine

This place is exceptional. Once you enter the building, you are told its history and how it was transformed in the hotel. The location is in the middle of the woods, so once you wake up in the morning all you see through the window is an endless forest. The breakfast was delicious and I aslo recommned to have dinner at La Santa restaurant, the food is of highest quality and you are being served by really nice people. The guys owning this place and working there have the real passion to what they are doing. I'm already planning my next stay there. Gracias un montón

Everything! Specially the views, the green areas , the peace, the breakfast was amazing ! Diego and all the staff was incredible, the dinner at La Santa, the drinks at the pool, the bed was super comfortable, the lovely house and it’s history, the pool table and the lovely morning walks around the property to el roble and the waterfall ! We celebrated our second year wedding anniversary and could not have chosen a better place ! Thanks for everything !

The location was incredible and relaxing. The staff was welcoming. The hotels suroundings are breath taking. Resaurant has good wine selection and the food is great. Breakfast delicious and plenty. I will definitely revisit!

Some glitches such as clogged sink, some restaurations were done a bit superficially and look cheap. Internet could be a bit better. Nothing to bad but worth noticing.

This place has became my all time favorite♥️ Love every detail. felt like I was staying at museum. Very friendly stuff and their hospitality made my days so memorable ♥️

Actually, there was almost nothing not to like, but wifi connection was really poor, but stuff explained why it was like that. And also, bath cleanness… Wish it could be better🤌🏻♥️

Unique location, almost a magic place. So many things to discover both on the premises but also in the house. Architecture, furniture and atmosphere are fascinating. Best breakfast we have ever enjoyed, in a perfect historic setting. Feels like genuinely being a guest of the family.

Nothing.

We spent 4 nights in the hotel and we had the most amazing time we could ever ask for. When we arrived to ribes de Freser on the train, a taxi was not available and Diego, from Reception picked us up with his private car so we could get intonthe hotel. During our time in the hotel, the treatment was excelent, we felt welcome and everyone was really attentive every time. The food was excepcional, the room was impeclable clean, the breakfast was incredible good and the hotel and the location is a dreamed paradise. If you are thinking on visiting Vall de Nuria and to expend some days surrounded by nature, and to enjoy the food and be treated and spoiled, this is your place to book. Worth every penny. We will definitely be back.

We loved EVERYTHING, nothing to fail.

The restaurant on-site was a pleasant surprise, excellent food and reasonably priced. The breakfast that comes included was also delicious. The property is beautiful and quiet, and the staff were very friendly.

I wasn’t super impressed with the room we stayed in, I thought it could use some design and aesthetic updates, plus it was much smaller than I was expecting (but the bed was huge and very comfortable). To improve the overall experience I would have liked to have had a hot tub and heated pool, as well as an outdoor fireplace/fire pit.
