This hotel was an unexpected suprise. The lady that took care of our check in was super friendly and efficient. This hotel is beautifully decorated,paying very close attention to every detail. The room was very nice, and the bathroom very large. The pool area is beautiful and they have a truck/bar besides the pool, with service until late at night. The buffet breakfast is one of the best I have ever seen, Very good food and incredibly well presented. And on top of everything, on check out the lady in the front guest had a gift for us on our departure: a nice tote bag with water bottles and snaks. Unexpected and very much appreciated. This is a superb hotel. And also parking was free.

We enjoyed the hot tub in our room. The food offerings on breakfast buffet were excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable. Nice decor in the room and nice grounds, Close to old town.

The coffee offered at breakfast was just so-so. (First i tried from the espresso machine and then made at the bar). We had a pool facing room and the music from the pool was too loud and went too late, could be heard in the room, even with ear plugs. In general I’m not a fan of poolside music, it would have been nice just to have a quiet pool.

It was a beautiful place that wasn't too big so not too busy. The pool was lovely. The spa in the room was great. We really enjoyed breakfast. There are some cafes across the road and the main street is only a few minutes away to walk to.

Nothing! Only suggestions I would make is to open the pool earlier in the day for those only staying one night and to provide towels for the pool.

The hotel is charming and immaculate; even the garage is well lit, attractive, and clean. It even smelled good! I was impressed with the attention to detail. Our room (104) had a nice patio facing the street, screened from view and lovely for sharing a bottle of cider and some cheeses. We only stayed for a night and didn’t even try the restaurant, but the Cuevas would have been a lovely base for longer.

The town has some roadwork going on and the road closures were a bit inconvenient.

Hotel clean. Rooms quiet. Very quiet and responsive air conditioning. Brunch was very good value for money. Good choice for breakfast. We didn’t have dinner, we made the very short walk to the old town. 20-30 min walk to Museo de Altamira. Lovely pool area. Free pool towels, ask at reception. Garage for motorcycle, not free but we were happy to pay the 11 euros per day.

Sun beds weren’t great, you couldn’t flip over and do your back without bending very uncomfortably or having to lie the other way around, very hard too and when pool area busy there wasn’t enough beds unless there was a stash somewhere else. Didn’t like the artificial grass.

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful hotel. All of the staff were very welcoming. The facilities were luxurious and extremely comfortable. From the moment we entered our fantastic room with treats, through the usage of the pool and (outdoor and in room!) Jacuzzi, the wonderful meal through the free usage of electric bikes until our departure treat we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay.

The room was spacious and perfectly clean. The rest of the hotel was highly unusual and made for an interesting stay. Parking was good in the indoor garage although the spaces were quite small. There was still enough room for us to park and could have also parked outside. The pool area was lovely and very quirky.

We did not receive information about how the spa bath works before our stay or in the bedroom. This meant that we ran the bath but couldn't get it to work. The next morning reception told us that it was sensor operated so we didn't have it filled enough, even though all the outlets were covered. It was a shame that we didn't have that information beforehand.

Great, helpful and happy staff,immaculate rooms, exceptionally clean with pleasant outdoor terrace. Nice quiet location. Glad not to be in centre of Santillana yet within 5-10 mins walk. Only regret is that we thought the menu a little limited. The indoor parking was very helpful.

I stayed for one night while walking the Camino del Norte. I could not have been happier to arrive at this gem of a hotel after a long day of walking in the rain. My room was very comfortable with a large modern en-suite and balcony. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The location was close to the towns main attractions.

Can’t think of anything. I didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on the food.

Very relaxing hotel. Super pool and gardens. Lovely bedroom. We really liked the jacuzzi bath. We were so pleased that we could borrow ebikes. We didn’t plan to have breakfast but we were so pleased that we did. Super service and delicious food. It was also a lovely touch being giving a bag with water and biscuits for the journey.

It was a real shame that the restaurant was closed due to a flood.
