Dear Wonderful Receptionists, I hope you both recognize yourselves in this message! I wanted to thank you once again for your warm welcome during my stay. After leaving your hotel, I was heading to Borres as part of my Camino Primitivo journey. I explained that one of the "albergues" in Borres was fully booked, and I couldn’t make a reservation at the other one. I even mentioned that I might have to sleep outside! You, the two lovely people at the reception (a gentleman and a lady) kindly gave me a double duvet, which I packed in my backpack. I then walked the 16 kilometers to Borres. When I arrived, I decided to continue to Hospitales and sleep in the ruins, in the middle of nowhere! As I approached the ruins, I saw a light coming from the opposite direction. Since it was 11 PM, I decided not to go any further to avoid encountering the person with the light at such a late hour. So, I ended up sleeping in the middle of nowhere! It was 12 degrees, it was raining, but thanks to the double duvet provided by you, I stayed warm and cozy! What an adventure it was! That night, I thought of you both and was so grateful. Thank you for everything! Warm regards, Valérie

Just the fact that a hotel with this level of service exists in a small and (what seems to be) economically declining but charming town like Tineo deserves an award on its own! It is a beautiful hotel, with very comfortable rooms, professional staff, and a restaurant that is on a very high level! We have chosen to return here and stay an extra night in Tineo because of this hotel and its restaurant. Comfy beds, with one of the best buffet breakfasts!

Nothing mentioned here should take some shine away, as the business model that keeps this hotel running is something to admire, but two things Karen in me would like to mention, in hope those could contribute to an even better customer experience: - if I book a room 6 months in advance, and ask for a room with a countryside view, I think I should be able to get an answer yes/no instead "if it will be available, we will try to accommodate". What kind of answer is that? - The restaurant seems to be a popular place for events, and as it is a space shared with a major part of the hotel, it can be noisy despite the good sound insulation of the rooms. If you seek a lot of relaxing time at the hotel I would inquire about their event schedule.

The decor and authentic renovations were impressive. The rooms were a decent size for a one night stay. It was conveniently located along the primitiveo. We got a good nights sleep. The small cafe downstairs was nice for a beer when we arrived.

The staff seemed preoccupied. The restaurant was practically empty at dinner but we were seated off in a corner and felt like we were imposing. The waiters were not helpful with menu translations. Breakfast was self serve with limited explanation.

This hotel was gorgeous! It was right in the middle of town and easy to find. It had both a cafe and a restaurant for dinner. They have private rooms as well as an albergue for pilgrims located within the building. The meals were good and the staff was extremely friendly. The room was comfortable and clean with large windows. The women at the front desk were overly accommodating and helped us with directions and recommendations.

The check in process was very long. I'm not sure if that is typical but it took us about 20 minutes to check in to two rooms.

we booked at the last minute (on the day) but our room was amazing. It was on the second floor with windows overlooking the square right in the center of town. And we had a second level above our room with another bedroom & bathroom - it was such a great room, with a great breakfast and lovely reception staff. would definitely rebook if back this way again!

Nothing - it was all fantastic!

Lovely hotel on the camino primitivo, good size room, comfortable beds, shutters on windows, bath was a treat after a long day walking, staff friendly and good breakfast.

Our room on the first floor was above the dining room could hear lots of noise from there on one side and our window was to the street so heard noise from the bar although none of it went on too late.

The room couldn't be more perfect. Not only did it have the most beautiful views of the greenest fields, but also did the bathroom! - might seem silly, but after 27km hike, having a long bath with such views felt like the best reward in the world. The bed was huge and super comfortable.

They offer two breakfasts: continental for €6 and buffet for €12. I didn't feel like the buffet was worth it.

Nice large room in a great location on the Camino. Everything was clean and comfortable. Staff member at front desk was courteous and helpful. Nice to have a mini fridge in the room.

The only issue for us was that it was the most expensive hotel we had on the Camino Primitivo. Other than that, everything was great.

Luxurious hotel right on the camino Primitivo. The room was large with huge twin beds and large picture windows looking onto the square. The bathroom hard a large bath which was a real treat after a day's walking. Staff spoke English which was a bonus. We didn't use the restaurant, but the bar was very buzzy and reasonably priced.

Spent two nights there while walking the camino. Lovely hotel and room had historical features which added to the charm. Pleasant view of the street and windows that blocked all noise. Room was very spacious. Highly recommend.

Dinner starts a little late for those wishing to start early the next day.
