What an absolute hidden gem! Honestly this place deserves more than the 1* rating (if you know rating systems, they actually don't mean much anyway). It's within minutes to the beach and the town and so conveniently located. The room is comfortable and although small it's perfect. We stayed in a sea view twin room (little upgrade from city view from the star extremely kind Pedro) with a small balcony area and little mictowave/kettle (perfect for the first cup of tea). The bathroom had a shower cubicle with a bodywash/shower gel inside along with supplied towels (bath and hand towel). There was also a supply of hand wash and lotion, these were vegan friendly and smelt wonderful. There was also a television and air conditioning. Absolute Highlight was the welcome and friendly staff, Pedro was an absolute star and a credit with fantastic communication (his English is much better than any Spanish I could hope to learn). Location wise - Only a few steps away is the beach (sunbeds were €7) and a supermarket which sold all usual goods including water, tea, food bits that could be stored in the fridge in room. The hotel is also very close to the restaurants and beach and a 20min walk to the train station (with direct access to the airport). Another worthwhile location is Benalmadena which is a 40minute walk if you turn left along beach and worth a trip (recommend a boat trip from harbour).

Absolutely nothing I didn't like.

An Exceptional beautiful Room and Bathroom spotless clean spacious and great location. Near to Beach and 10 min from Train station. Italian Restaurant next door for nice meals . Pedro the receptionist was friendly and helpful. As solo traveller I felt safe and comfortable. The large kingsize Bed and bedding was Excellent quality. The room has kitchen facilities and everything you need to cook your own meals. There is a Balcony overlooking a pretty courtyard.

Great owner of the property Beatriz, His name is Pedro. He took great care of us even before our arrival, sent us on whatsup asking how we were going to arrive and sent us a video on how to reach Beatriz. Beautiful paintings from Cuba hung on the wall of our apartment. A very nice apartment with a balcony, which we enjoyed very much, and a very comfortable bed. Thank you very much Pedro.

Lovely property in a fantastic location. About 100 steps to the beach and an uninterrupted view of the sea. Lovely room, with a kettle, fridge and microwave. Nice modern bathroom with very good shower pressure. Room cleaned, with beds made up and clean towels every day. Very accommodating, pleasant owner. 15 minutes to the main, busy town and train station to airport by stairs and about 3 minutes by lift. Very good selection of beach restaurants, clean beach with loads of sunbeds and parasols. Small supermarket literally next door, with larger Mercado in town. Would definitely recommend for a short beach holiday.

Balcony was small, but with a view of the sea. Stair were quite steep and narrow if you had mobility issues, might be a problem.

Excellence location. Staff are absolutely nice and helpful. Clean and we had fresh towels at least every other day if not often. The view from our room was spectacular- we could enjoy the sun rise from our bed. Amenities were great. Loved the atmosphere and that we could feel like at home.

It’s not the property but the neighboring house - we guess - which was making a constant, distant and short 10sec noise in every minute or so. Sounded like a small elevator or a pump. It was only noticeable when during the night when it was silent and dark. We couldn’t figure it with the staff out where this noise was coming from. Maybe a local mystery. But it was a minor inconvenience and had not impacted our lovely stay.

We used this accommodation for a 1 night stay before flying home, ideal for the airport. It's beachfront location and proximity to bars and restaurants would make it perfect for a longer stay. Pedro gave us a very warm welcome and told everything we needed to know, what a fabulous host! The room was quiet, clean, had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable.

Spiral staircase, so be aware if you have any mobility issues! Shower head could do with being replaced. Fridge was a little noisy in the night. Be aware that parking in a car park nearby cost us €23 for 1 night, but we arrived late and were too tired to look elsewhere so our fault!

The location was excellent. Only a few minutes from the beach and lots of bars, restaurants and shops.The owners were very friendly. The room was very clean and well equipped.The beds were very comfortable. Very good restaurant next door where we had breakfast and some evening meals.

The spiral staircase! We were on the 2nd floor and as I had sciatica the first few days, it was a little difficult for me. We would request a 1st floor room next time as we will definitely return.

Not the first time I've stayed at The Beatriz. Warm welcome, friendly staff and very clean. I also like the digital locking system on the doors, no key to lose👍

Due to age and design (of building as well as me), no lift. I'm ok up to 2nd floor on stairs but that can be a struggle being old, overweight and maybe a little bit "giggly" in the evening. BUT I knew this and still returned for a second visit and will probably go back again 👍

Fantastic, safe location, metres from the beach, close to the lift and steps to the upper part of town. Pedro and Hector were very friendly hosts. I was travelling alone and always felt safe. The cafe in Hostal Guadalupe next door does great pizza, pasta and breakfasts - especially lighter breakfasts for those who do not want a heavy cooked breakfast. Great little place to stay.

I would not change anything about the Beatriz. The stairs are quite narrow to the upper floors but that's the way it is in some buildings.

Great room with a fabulous sea view , even saw the sunrise from my bed, and a large bathroom . The location was close to bars and restaurants and a 10 minute walk up the hill into the town or 5 minutes via the lift . The room was spotless and was cleaned each day.. The reception were very friendly and helpful .

our room was on the third floor up narrow stairs and no lift. This was not a problem for us, there are rails to hold on to, but for some it might be a bit more of a challenge, especially if you had heavy bags
