Located well near the River Minho, our stay at the Parador de Tui was comfortable and convenient. The staff were most accomodating. The expresso coffee is the best ivevevet tasted in Spain in over 20 years. Breakfast is convenient but limited in selection. The dining room is not large so breakfast is split into early and later sittings. If you’re an early riser and wish to make an early get away it’s best to book an early breakfast in advance.

We have stayed in three other paradors, but this was the nicest. The staff were magnificent. Although we arrived early, they expedited the cleaning of the room and came to notify us in the lobby as soon as it was available. The room was enormous and comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent.

The parador is located at the foot of the hill leading up to the town, a potential problem for some travelers.

It is always a treat to stay in one of the Parador hotels. It was very quiet which was nice and the rooms were very comfortable. The breakfast was good, and a good value for the cost.

The staff who checked us in could have been just a bit more friendly and welcoming. It was all very business-like and transactional. I realized it was a bit early in the year but it was unseasonably warm, and it would have been very nice to have the pool open, since it did advertise having a pool. It would have managed my expectations better to know that it was not going to be open even though it was listed as an available amenity.

Great location right on the Camino. Short walk to town centre. Nice pool and gardens to hang out. Very reasonably priced drinks in evening in great setting in terrace. Comfortable room. Lovely bath tub. Great breakfast. Very friendly and efficient staff.

TV had no English stations. No casting / sharing possible from phone. No access to back HDMI ports to plug in cable.

The breakfast and staff could not be better! The food was fresh and delicious, almost anything you might think of was offered...even churros! We so enjoyed our visit to this extraordinary Parador. Many thanks to your staff as well, maid, servers, receptionists , everyone...a visit to always remember.

Our first experience of a Parador and we are very happy to recommend! The welcome from the receptionist was warm and genuine. As we were on a driving holiday, this was a one-night stop-over on our journey further north and west. So, a bit of an unknown destination. The parador location is out along the river from the old town of Tui, but there is a peaceful riverside walkway leading directly to it and it is well-worth it for a an hour or so's stroll. A bit of a sleepy, hidden gem when we were there (on a Sunday morning) but gradually, as locals filed out of church and into the cafes, life filled the streets and lanes which are lined with heavy granite buildings, not dissimilar to towns in Cornwall or Scotland. Directly on the Camino, the parador and Tui itself were diverting discoveries for us and much appreciated.

I was greeted by Vanesa Gonzalez. She also handled my check-out. She was professional, genuinely pleasant, and helpful. She even went above and beyond by offering me a couple of bandaids. For the most part, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

I didn't love the breakfast waitress. She spent the entire time on her cell phone and behaved as though she couldn't be bothered to do her job.

The building is very beautiful and as booked, we had a wonderful view to the river Minho. Beds were very comfortable.

At arrival, we were informed that breakfast should be scheduled and that only after 8:45 a.m could we get a place. As pilgrims, walking the Camino Portugues, it would be impossible to have breakfast before departure. We got no message about breakfast schedule preferences before arrival and it turned up down our plannings for the early departure. We also had to book a table for dinner, which was available only after 9:00 p.m. (to late for pilgrims!!). The rigidity of the staff proved wrong since we simply walked in the restaurant at 20:20 and got a table (the restaurant was nearly empty all through the evening). The restaurant was not worthy the value they charged.

wonderful hotel. the view from our balcony of the citadel and the mino was breathtaking. room very comfortable as were the lounges. the swimming pool was in an excellent location and was beautiful. excellent dinner and breakfast.We would have paid alot more for the quality of stay we had.

It’s a beautiful historical property on top of the hill and very clean too, breakfast was good. Since we wanted to go early for our Camino walk, and couldn’t make it for breakfast, each of us was given a breakfast loot bag complete with fruits, yogurt, cheese etc.
