The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the eight floor at the front and we had an excellent view over the harbour and over to Cangas. ( I would have been very disappointed had we had a room at the back of the hotel). The room and bathroom were spacious although slightly dated but very comfortable and warm and had everything that we needed. The underground car park ( payable) was a plus although it was a tight squeeze. Breakfast was decent and ample and the breakfast room overlooked the sea. Breakfast staff were very attentive and soon replenished any items that were getting low. It was very easy to access the town from the hotel and the ferries over to Cangas and Isles de Cies were directly opposite. The latter was not running with it being winter. We were in Vigo to see the Christmas lights and for that the hotel was ideally situated. There is a commercial centre and also a small supermarket just over the road.

The outside of the hotel is very uninviting and so much so that we were very tempted to drive straight on by but thankfully things improved considerably once we were inside. The decor in our room was slightly dated but I think that the hotel is undergoing a period of transition judging by some of the photos in the hotel itself.

This is quite a smart hotel overlooking the harbour with a fantastic view of the estuary and the hills beyond. It is a steep climb to the town proper but there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the vicinity. We booked a junior-suite (basically two adjoining double rooms ) It was comfortable. the bed was excellent and all in all it was a good room with a view and not overly expensive. The hotel has no bar or restaurant (which surprised us) and the place felt a bit soulless. Breakfast was plentiful and not bad value for 12 euros. There is onsite parking which was helpful. Check-in was quick and easy. Staff were excellent.

Well, I'm going to be a bit biased here, I got a very nice upgrade for free, and got an apartment with ocean view, which was just plain amazing. Other than that, everything was really good, apartment seemed to be newly renovated, so all appliances were very new, and the bed was super comfortable (actually we should have asked the brand, because now we want to replace ours with that one). Location also was great, ocean view, right in front the place where people get the boats to the islands.

The shower was area leaking water, which didn't bothered me, but I guess that will cause problems to them later on if not fixed. I guess it's a sealing issue on the glass.

Special thanks to the great people working at the reception, especially Ms Renata - she was amazing, always smiling face, giving many advices about Vigo, travelling. We would like to also thank to the hotel for taking care of our luggage for 1 week, when we were walking to Santiago de Compostela. Great hotel because of great people working there! :)

That there was no tomato and cucumber for breakfast. We understand that in Spain you don't like fresh vegetables for breakfast, but this was the only tiny thing which was missing. Except this everything was great! :)

The Bahia de Vigo Hotel has an excellent location facing the port and the sea. We had the room 807 at the 8th floor, the view was gorgeous. We stayed at Vigo to take the boat to the Cies Islands, and this hotel is the best for that. We just crossed the street and we were at the port to take the boat. Also it's walking distance from the restaurants. The room was clean and big

The hotel is 50Y old. It's well kept but not modernised. It still has that 70s look. Too bad it doesn't have a pool. The amenities in the room are very basic for a 4 stars hotel

Incredibly clean and large room. The bed was comfortable and enormous. The bathroom had a jacuzzi bath which was a nice surprise. The location is excellent. There is parking (needs to be pre-arranged) which is good value. The staff were excellent, I really appreciated them letting me keep the car in the car park for some extra hours.

Perhaps a typical comment from a Brit, but I like having facilities to make tea/coffee in the room. The hotel was overall v quiet, but the way the doors close means they inevitably close loudly which meant mornings can be a bit noisy if you are sensitive.

We are staying in that hotel for the third time. They renovated the hotel so every time we come again we find something new there, not sure about all the rooms but on the 7th and 8th floor that we are booking it is a very nice and very large room, with a nice bathroom and an amazing view, a bit old and without special decoration, but we love the view. There is still a need to renew some parts of the rooms, but we like the rest so we definitely will book again in that hotel, especially because of the view and the location.

If you need parking in the hotel you have to book at least 3 months before, otherwise there is public parking on the other side of the road. Also, Very limited bath products are available, and no sleepers are available

Perfect location, very beautiful room and very well equipped. Breakfast with a lot of variety, except the bread that didn't seem very fresh

The room was extremely hot when we entered as the sun shines on it all day. However, when we turned on the air conditioning, the ducts released a lot of dust, which forced us to turn it off. We were only able to cool the room down a little by opening the windows at the end of the day.

Very pleasant staff with updated interior. Handy location especially if you’re doing a Cíes Island tour as it’s directly across from the docks. Staff were very friendly and very friendly. A special mention to the receptionist who spent a year in school in Wexford, Ireland!!

Rooms are too small to fit a foldaway for a third person/child. Views to the rear of the property don’t allow for privacy with heavy curtains open-there was no gauze curtains. Also doors to rooms are VERY noisy closing. Final comment would be the shower screens are not adequate to prevent water getting on the tiled floor especially when younger family members showering.

Perfect location on the Camino. Our room had stunning views of the port and the ocean. We got great sunset views in the evenings. So close to a grocery store and tons of bars, cafes, restaurants and shops. Huge room where we were able to unpack some items and get our packs reorganized. Appreciated the mini-fridge to keep our items cold. Best breakfast on the Camino!!! Such tasty options and everything was super fresh :) Would definitely stay here again!

Minor, minor detail but weird we had to ask for our fridge to be plugged in. Wish it had been turned on before we arrived but I know everyone is being resource conscious.
