Place is superb with friendly staff. We had tasty local meals with nice quantity of food except fried chicken. Cook was very friendly man in his mid sixties. Rooms has enough space & well maintained. Overall experience was great.

Pool wasn't well maintained & saw some insects inside the water.

Fantastic location right on the beach! Nice restaurant with decent food!! Could work on the food a little perhaps but it’s not bad!! Great pool!! Great view from the pool and very peaceful area!

I had a very bad mattress!! My partner and I eventually got a second room at the first rooms mattress sounded like a bomb dropped every time one of us moved so decided to stay separately… turns out the second room had a great mattress… so perhaps next time I should just have complained.

Paper Moon Kudils 1 surpasses Section 2, excelling in both privacy and environmental considerations. The serene ambiance at the hotel is truly commendable. We thoroughly enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere, creating a perfect backdrop for a relaxing holiday. The culinary experience was delightful, with great food offerings. The staff provided excellent service, contributing to an overall exceptional and serene vacation for us!

While our stay had its highlights, there are a few areas for improvement. The landscaping, particularly around the pool, could benefit from enhancements, as it didn't appear well-maintained during our visit. At first glance, the property may seem a bit undervalued in comparison to the price paid. However, these are relatively minor concerns that, if addressed, could elevate the overall guest experience.

What an amazing place! On a fantastic beach (Whiskey Bay) away from the hustles of Arugam bay 10km down the road. Staff were amazing, food cooked to order and great flavours, swimming pool, even has a bar! Spent two nights on our travels around Sri Lanka but wish we could have spent longer. This is a place we will definitely return to. Fantastic value for money, off the beaten track, our sort of heaven.

A relaxing location with a nice pool and right on the beach. The rooms were clean with fully working air conditioning. The staff were keen to do anything to make our stay a happy one. They went out of their way to arrange a meal for us on the beach with gorgeous Sri Lankan food. If anything is not to your liking they listen and make improvements.

A more comprehensive food and drink menu is required however I believe that they are working on this. The room states there is a bunk bed but there isn’t.

Wonderful place This has been a wonderful stay! We had our own little bungalow in a garden surrounded by palm trees! It had both AC and a fan! The place has a nice pool and is lying right on the beach! 🤩 The staff greeted us in a heartwarming way when we arrived late in the evening and made us a good meal, even despite the fact that our booking didn't come through in time as we booked it late. They are all very kind and helpful with everything! The Sri Lankan food they make is amazing, and they know how to take care of you! I highly recommend this place! 🌞If you are here to surf, they are happy to arrange this for you! Raja, the older gentleman, a positive soul, and a happy person was great to us!❤️ If you want secluded prestine beaches, then this place and Whiskey Point is perfect for you!

Not the place for you is you want hustle and bustle of Arugam Bay. But a great place of you want to escape or have a beach to yourselves. Even with tuk tuk rides this place is more affordable than Arugam Bay

The staff were so kind and accommodating. The kitchen staff worked hard to prepare fresh meals and juice. We were even welcomed with welcome drinks. The beach is stunning, quiet, clean with virtually no trash and the drive to the surf beach with is great for beginners is within 8 minutes. The hotel even arranged surf lessons for us. We loved that they accepted credit cards.

Make sure you book the “sea view” we had a “garden view” which had photos of the pool and sea in the booking description but upon arrival we found we were in a seperate area which is a fair walk to the restaurant and pool area. They upgraded us to the sea view villas for a discounted rate

The staff were so lovely and accomodating, the location on the beach is amazing with it being very quiet after the craziness of Arugam bay. All of the food was some of the best we had throughout Sri Lanka! Highly recommend the fish curry. Rooms were also comfy and large!

Rooms are really beautiful and clean. Swimming in pool in ni distance at all from beach is also really awesome.

Noisy enviroment thanks to near located LOUD night club “Sababa surf café” playing all night untill 6AM, which won’t let you sleep for a minute. Definitely do NOT book here for Fridays and Saturdays. Other days are not that bad, bud definitely not calm ones.
