Its Heaven!!!!! Absolutely beautiful property with lots of attention to details, art and architecture! It is peaceful and beautiful with super friendly staff. From the valet driver to luggage man, reception and a very beautiful lady who works in restaurant with beautiful smile and kind heart! They treat you like family and you will enjoy every minute. They also bring cute plate of fruits, snacks and chocolates everytime you are out of the property to your room!

There can be better detailed cleaning of corners and some dust and maybe some more care of tiles, the gap between tiles is a place for lizards to hide.

MAHAWELI Reach Hotel is situated overlooking the MAHAWELI river. It is a breathtakingly beautiful location. It’s one of the oldest hotels in Kandy. The architecture is stunning. The bedrooms were extremely spacious and comfortable with beautiful views from the balcony. The staff at MAHAWELI Reach were exceptional! Attentive, polite and helpful. The Buffet spread was delicious! A wonderful mix of Western and Asian. I want to say to those who expect food from your country. Enjoy the food served in the country that you visit instead of complaining. I have never been served Sri Lankan food when I visit another country. Especially in an All inclusive Hotel. We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this hotel and will definitely be visiting again. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay a memorable one.

The room is large and clean. The staff at the hotel are respectful. The breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent with a large variety to suit everyone. The hotel's design, landscape, and scenery are wonderful. It is close enough to major sites (10 minutes by car).

Check in was a bit slow, noting that we had kids with us. The rooms and toilets need refurbishment as they are old. The water flow is not good in the shower.

The hotel grounds were beautiful. The food was all buffet style with a large variety of excellent dishes. There was something for everyone.

While the hotel was beautiful the furniture and fixtures were all very dated and damaged from use. We had a hard time communicating with the staff and check-in took longer here than any other place we visited in Sri Lanka.

This is one of the beautiful place l have visited in my life, because this place is completely bonded with nature. When you enter the property you feel what your breath says about atmosphere through the wind which blows, the mist which hugs you and if you understand what all that is trying to say..... it says, feel me and love me. l really thought what else my eyes would want to see, what else my inner mind wants to feel... I doubt there is anything more l would want to have except this. Thank you so much for everything we really had a beautiful time/stay at your hotel as it was our 15th wedding anniversary, we will have those memories forever with us. The staff is so kind and friendly and the food was delicious, I would recommend you to taste their bread with fish curry it was so tasty and the best I’ve ever had, I absolutely loved it
