The spa definitely exceeded my expectations. I didn't even know that it was included in the superior room until I arrived there, and had planned to potentially pay extra to treat myself to a spa night. The breakfast was good, and there was a good variety of options to choose from. The room was nice and comfortable. It felt a bit older than I had primarily anticipated, but since it's a very old building that obviously makes sense. It was spacious, comfortable, and the shower was good. Location is very central.

Only thing I would point out was that there was no plastic barrier on the floor in the shower that prevents the water from going into the rest of the bathroom. Easily fixed however with the heated floors and the scraper

Staff were very helpful, both with strictly hotel matters, and with transport and sight seeing questions. The breakfast ws excellent with plenty of choice on an expansive buffet. The spa was a significant bonus. Stayed three nights and would happily have stayed a week given more time.

The underground carpark was a bonus, though not easy to manoeuvre into, given the one way system and a tight turn. Nevertheless we liked the fact that it was there, and there is little that could be done to improve the logistics.

The room was clean quiet and in good condition. Everything worked as it should and the location was great for going out for a walk, it really is a lovely location with great atmosphere. The food and drinks, including breakfask the following morning were also great with plenty of food on both occassions.

Parking was 150m down the street, so you need to drop your bags and then go and park. Thi is not a great issue but it did rain on my way down to pick up the car the following morning. I will note that there are complimentry unbrellas available.

I liked the fact that the room was quite spacious. There is also a spa area in the hotel. The hotel rooms had all the utilities that were needed for me. I appreciated that the hotel provided slippers because most hotels nowadays don't give a pair of those. The breakfast was nice, and there were many options.

Well, the only thing that I didn't like in the room was the window: it was too small, and no daylight could reach the room. Another thing which I was disappointed about was the TV: I could not connect my phone to it since it was not a smart TV.

The hotel is in a historic, restored building, which I love and purposely seek when travelling in Europe. It is very centrally located in the town centre so easy access. At this time of the year (September) street parking was easy to find so we saved the hotel’s high parking fee.

The room was really tiny. There was no thermostat control of the heating and the room was really hot. We had to keep opening the window which is not very climate friendly

This is a historic hotel right in the middle of old Kalmar. There are historical pictures from the hotel on the corridors. Bed is comfortable. Overall is good. Lots of amenities. 800 m away from the central station. Breakfast was good.

The room had a bad smell when I entered. There was a small leak under the bathroom sink, so I don’t know if it was for that reason. The ventilator was on but it’s noisy and I preferred to open the window so the smell improved a bit. No air conditioning so, but you can open the window at least. Duvet was to thick for the summer. My room had a blocked view from the other building, I wish I had view to the square.

The breakfast was excellent and the staff was more than kind, lending us water and feeding bowls for our dog so we didn't need to go pick up our own at the car (a few blocks away). Also the bistro lunch was splendid.

Amazing, but I think we were given the same room as 7 years ago: right above the yard where the garbage trucks pick up their loot early in the morning. The noise might have been a little less loud this time - and besides there were free ear plugs :). Parking is a problem when you have plenty of luggage since the chances of getting a slot at the hotel garage are slim. And I do wish also other hotels than the Finnish ones would install hand held showers by the toilet seat to wash your behind.

Pretty room with lots of character, we had plenty of space which is a real treat for a city based hotel. Breakfast is always delicious here, with a great range of fresh and delicious food. Location is absolutely amazing, very central and yet still doesn't feel crowded as it overlooks the square. Parking is good if not a little cosy.

I never understand their need to hand out cards with your requested time slot for a buffet breakfast. I would think this would be relevant for a large group all arriving / leaving together but pointless for a couple. No one checks the cards when you go down to breakfast anyway. We travellers don't need added things to have to think about / remember!

We loved the history and location. It is next to the museum in the older historical area. We arrived on a Saturday and there wasn't to much going on during Sunday so it was relatively quiet. We're upset we didn't book for a longer stay. The staff was very helpful in keeping medical supplies safe and cold. Definitely a huge help when traveling with multiple medications.

Only thing we didn't like is our own planning. We definitely would have loved staying longer.

Have been a guest here many times and this time i upgraded my room to a superior king room but sadly i almost regretted it. Location, staff and the beds were very nice I will definately be back tho.

During my first night there was a speaker on the fasade just outside my room that was playing some kind of lounge music which was annoying and that was annoying when i was trying to sleep. There was candy under the sofa from previous guest. Coffee machine was not clean, used coffe cartridge was still in the machine. The scrambled eggs are not good at all.
