We chose this hotel for its close proximity to the railway station as we arrived from Stockholm by train and left for Kokkola by train. It is in a great location within easy walking distance of shops, cafes, restaurants etc. Our room was on the ground floor next to the street but was very quiet. We really appreciated the communal dining area, kitchen with microwave etc and fridges and the free coffee vending machine. Wonderful buffet breakfast at the sister hotel next door with lots of choice.

The best were probably the breakfast :-) It's possibly because they aren't directly for the rather low cost "Hotel Naran", yet they are served at sisters "higher class" hotel .

The only unliked part... Was due to myself probably... It didn't dawn on me, that as outside it's so freezing, eventhough the hotel heating system was full time fully on... Well I think the room was at some 15-18 degrees... Which I am used to for sleeping, but for comfortable stay longer term within the day it's rather low for me. But as I am saying, they couldn't do more easily and the heating surely worked so...

- Well located. - We arrived late so the check in was well arranged from their side leaving the room key inside a safety box by the reception and being able to check out just by leaving the keys by the reception‘s desk (we paid for the accommodation in advance) - Nice free breakfast

- It was not the end of the word, but when you take a shower the water splashes around the majority of the bathroom floor and could be a bit messy.

The breakfast had great variety. The hotel is close to the city, restaurants etc. I was able to do my laundry onsite which was a big bonus.

I had to wait a little while at reception to check in but the staff came quickly when I called the phone number given. Lucky I was able to do this, several guests had been waiting prior to my arrival with no phone.

Located very close to the train and bus stations, we were greeted by lovely staff. Hotel Naran also has a shared guest kitchen to boil water, male coffee, etc. The breakfast buffet was over the top, a broad variety for muesli lovers, fresh fruit, different cakes (!) and sweets every day, beside a wide range of cheeses, bread, etc. Even though the room was on the ground flood, it was not loud at all.

The showerhead-attachement was broken, so showering was a little of a juggle between showerhead and soap. But I'm positive this will be mended soon.

It is extremely clean and the staff are extremely helpful. What is more, the location is great! Also, there is a coffee machine from which you can get whatever you want for free during your stay. The most important of all, the breakfast is included in the price and it is so satisfactory that you will enjoy it on the very cold morning of Lulea.

Nothing at all

Best place to stay in Lulea for the price and what you get! The staff were very kind and helpful and even went so far as to offer us a "breakfast bag" to take with us, since we had to leave at 4am for our flight and would miss the breakfast buffet... which is, by the way, a spectacular spread of cheeses, yogurts, breads, deli meats, soft or hard boiled eggs, homemade jams, everything you could dream of for your muesli, and even meatballs and scrambled eggs and bacon. Again the staff were super kind and accommodating for gluten-free bread and there is plenty of lactose free stuff, too. The room was great. The location is central and just a couple of blocks from a nice park, a bus station, grocery stores, shops, restaurants, and the cinema. There was also a guest kitchen where you can prepare your own coffee or meals, or keep some takeaway leftovers in the fridge, which was really nice to have. Tack!

As I had read, there was no one to greet us at the reception since they also seem to run the hotel next door, but the concierge was just a phone call away and another guest had let us in the building. The concierge was very nice and explained that our room was not yet ready and gave us directions for the short walk to the restaurant we wanted to try. BTW The Bishop's Arms is a great place! He also let us know that the parking was free until 9am on the Sunday we were there. Accommodating and helpful!

Our room was not ready (at 5:30pm) but that was no problem for us. I had read of the other quirks before arriving so we knew what to expect. Overall, we had nothing to complain about.

I liked how minimalistic and clean the hotel was. The bed was comfortable, so was the bed. The breakfast was amazing! I loved it!

Well, I came for a business travel and was very disappointed with poor internet connection. Also I'm used to having a hair dryer in the room, and this hotel did not offer one.

Nice staff, we were leaving very early in the morning and they prepared a take-away bag with the breakfast. Also, there is a common kichenette, very complete and useful por a quick lunch/dinner
