We had a fabulous stay! We were greeted by accommodating, helping and relaxed personell (family business). We had the family room (it has its own shower!). It’s always a compromise to sleep with four people in one room, especially when dad tends to snore, but thats on us and not Backlunda. Breakfast was exzellent and above our expectations for a B&B. There’s a terrass on the second floor with an amazing view over the Siljan lake and its surroundings.

We were a family of 6 staying one night in a villa. This is a fascinating home with a noticeably higher standard than average in Sweden. Spacious living room, three slipping rooms, clean comfortable beds, outdoor space, glassy veranda... In a word, everything one needs for a short or long vacation. The hosts are extremely friendly and careful.

I could not communicate with hosts via Booking messenger, they simply did not read those messages, my impression. I encounter such a lack of communication via Booking over and over again. I could reach the hosts only after finding their direct e-mail address and then got an immediate reaction.

One of the best accommodations that we've stayed at! The owners are very kind and always happy to recommend places to visit in the area. The cabin that we stayed in had a rustic feeling and the whole place instills calmness. Besides having all the facilities that we needed, our stuga also came with a sauna and EV charging, something that we didn't expect! We will definitely come back!

stayed in the split apartment view was amazing and the immediate surrounding area very serene! Kitchen had the basics required to pull together an easy breakfast. the property was spotlessly clean and check in was very smooth. Staff were incredibly warm and full of smiles upon arrival. Beds were comfy.

The only thing stopping me from giving a full 10 is that fridge was off with doors open on arrival so was unusable for our 1 night stay. And the property and inner furnishings felt a little aged but that was to be expected given the area and style.

Very friendly welcome, awesome rooms, beautifully equipped with old coutryside stuff. The breakfast was a gastronomic experience. This place also gives to guests plenty of documentation for walking, hiking,skiing etc in the neighborhood.

I can't find anything to say, apart that we would have liked to stay more nights !

We were a large group and arrived at an unpredictable time, our hosts were extremely accommodating of this and communicated well. Facilities were awesome and the beds were comfy. Decor is cute and has a homely vibe. Was perfect for us and amazing value!

The view, the view, the view. Okay, and the walks directly from the oakyard into the sweetest Dalarna village to lake Siljan beach. And the friendly, warm, relaxed atmosphere in the house. Run by a Swedish couple. Helpful, hardworking and funny. Beautiful rooms, doesn't even matter which one you choose, traditional and high standard with comfy beds. I had my own bathroom on the corridor next to my room. I liked it al lot there are two guest kitchens and guest living rooms. Sjaaa and then the breakfast; even full vegan if you wish, woodfire in the serre with the upcoming sun. You can't beat this. You will be back. I will. Practical also, free parking, a bus stop at the door, little supermarket 5 min. All the little towns and nature trails around the corner. I have been here in spring, summer and winter. Always beautiful stays. And whatever my plan was, it is all close; hiking, nature ice skating, downhill ski, horse riding, bike, sub, swim, oja and having a FIKA:) But still..not touristy, truly authentic and calm.

You have to be in luck. In spring, summer not often a room left.

Superb villa with all comfort. Excellent breakfast at the reception (in a different building 2 min by car). Dalarna region is very pleasant.

There was 3 bed rooms: 1 master bed room, then 2 smaller rooms with beds not large enough to accommodate 2 adults. So one of the couple had to sleep in different rooms. Not a big issue but good to know if you are 4 adults. Maybe one of the bed (90-120 cm) could be replaced by a larger one (140-160 cm)?

The property is close to the lake and has a huge space. So cozy and clean.

We were not able to warm up the patio. I am not sure what’s wro g with the thermostat.

The breakfast and the view were wonderful. The location is quiet and you can walk down to the lake easily (~10 minutes of walking). The shared spaces had comfy seating and things to read as well.

My only wish is that the shared shower facilities have shampoo for guests to use!
