Breakfast was a little chaotic when busy due to the narrowness of the room, but that is a small issue. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food very nice and plentiful and the overall ambience was very tranquil and charming. Our room was very nice, spacious and comfortable with a very nice shower. The location is great with a regular ferry service to Djursgaard island with the many museums and attractions it has to offer, the ferry also goes directly to the Old Town which is very charming with lots of shops and restaurants. It is also possible to walk into Old Town easily in around 20 minutes.

The only thing that was not to our taste was that we ate dinner in the restaurant 1 night and both of our dishes were over salted. We may have just been unlucky on that evening as breakfast was never like that.

Amazing place on a green island in the middle of everything, between museums, the royal palace and the amusement park. Hotel in a reconstructed historical building with a high standard, friendly service and a unique atmosphere. The windows with original frames are held open using a casement stay, however, the air conditioning is easy to control, the breakfast and food in the restaurant are of high quality.

Only the designer knows why there is water splashing on the designer ceramic stone in the bathroom sink, why the overhead shower has to run in order to start the hand shower, and why there is no bidet. The restaurant lacks draft beer. And watch out for the last ferry, the Skeppsholmen stop is on the sign and the crew might miss it on the way from Gröna Lund. But it can't spoil your mood.

Breakfast was good, staff efficient and pleasant. The building including its history was interesting. Location on the island was unusual and surrounded by trees. Options of walking across the bridge or a ferry to the Old Town and Djurgarden were great. The three armchairs in the room were comfortable; the room was large and light, and windows could be opened.

Some aspects of the room. eg. the shallow pebble wash basin looked stylish but was a bit irritating to use; bed lights too close to the sitting position directly above ones head.

Fabulous location. Right by ferry pick up to old town, peaceful as no other hotels near by. The food was excellent when we had dinner one evening. The breakfast was amazing - everything anybody could want and very fresh and hot. The staff were lovely, really friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

There was nothing we didn’t like but it would be nice to have more comfortable and relaxing seating in the lounge area of the dining area as the seats were not very comfortable.

Location - Beautiful hotel in really tranquil location. Close enough (20 mins) that you can walk to town, but on its own little island - silent at night and stunning views of the sea and old town across the water. Room - spacious, clean, calm. Extremely comfortable bed. Thoughtful interiors, strong shower. Service - incredible, nothing was too much trouble. Plug converters, extra pillows, a kettle with beautiful loose-leaf tea, ironing board and iron, and an extra early breakfast to go was prepared for us one morning when we had to get out before the breakfast buffet opened. They were also kind enough to offer us a complementary early check in because the room was ready when we arrived. Everyone kind and professional. Food - breakfast buffet is exceptional quality. Also dined one night and food was beautiful.

Honestly, nothing.

The hotel was in a great location and loved the history of the building and the conversion, it was really interesting. The staff were great and the breakfast was incredible!

The rooms were simple which is fine but the bathroom felt tired and the shower just didn't feel clean ... grout discoloured, dirty corners. The sink was the weirdest and most awkward to use and this was the worst thing about the room, it made washing and brushing teeth a bit painful as water went everywhere!. I understand they have gone for a quirky design but design versus functionality sometimes doesn't work. The lounge area where you can have a drink (adjacent to the restaurant) was very small and 4 couples and it was full. As there was 4 of us, it made it difficult to find space for a drink before heading out to dinner.

There was a very good selection of food and drinks for breakfast and generous too. The restaurant/breakfast room has a vibrant atmosphere and is very relaxing. The location is perfect for the bus and ferry, with the bus and ferry stops within 150m of the hotel. The surrounding area is nice and quiet at all times day and at night. Our bedroom was spacious, bright and functional (writing desk and safe), and with a great view of the garden and sea The bathroom was spacious too with everything provided, including shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided if you wanted to use them. The bedroom/ bathroom were spotlessly clean and fresh towels were provided every day, All the staff were very helpful and friendly.

The seating area in the restaurant could be bigger especially if you wanted to sit and have a drink/coffee (mainly during the winter).

Breakfast staff was nice and especially the young blond lady on saturday and sunday. Breakfast quality was very good. Check-in staff was also helpful with recommandations about the city. It is easy to get around with the boat and the island is quiet and perfect for walks. The hotel recognized our special occassion with delicate attentions.

Housekeeping entering the room at 09:15AM on a Sunday even though we answered when the door was knocked. We then went for breakfast and had to wait for 10 mins when coming back as the maid was still servicing the room. Blackout curtains could be helpful in the room 209 as outside light comes through the shutters at night. The bathroom curtains had 3 blood stains on it.

Cannot thank you enough for the pleasures you provided for our 5-night stay. You should be very proud of your staff and facilities. Yes, it is expensive to stay with you, but we could not have asked for a more perfect visit. At the end of every busy day, it felt like we were coming home to Mamma's delicious nutritious dinner. We will be back!

Oh dear - the pillows!! Surely a personal preference, but even nine of them did not provide the back support that our old bodies needed at night...
