We had room 202 which had a small but perfectly enjoyable balcony overlooking the lake. The rest of the room was laid out and equipped brilliantly and had one of the best bathrooms of our entire trip. Great lighting and plenty of power outlets. All staff were super helpful with every request and especially so with our limited italian! Breakfasts were also very good with plenty of choices. Coffees were great too.

Nothing really. The location and parking are a compromise due to the lakeside location and traffic limitations so those driving with large suitcases may struggle.

Everything was just perfect! The staff was loveley and professional. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious and very clean. Beautiful view on the lake and the mountains. The breakfast delicious: Fresh bread, local honey, tasty cheese, perfect birchermusli... There were many beautiful details such as the background music, olive wood accessories, flowers... I also had my dinner in the restaurant which was delicious!

Fabulous location. Views from the balconies are stunning. Breakfast buffet is adequate. The fresh orange juice machine was lovely. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The rooms very spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds.

The TV channels are very limited in terms of languages. Not a big issue for us but surprising in a country with great cable TV.

The toom was very nicely nade up and extremely clean. Breakfast was outstanding and very good and friendly service. The reception was very flexible with arrival times and very helpful with our questions and providing great advice. Of course, outstanding location on the lake promenade in Ascona.

perfectly located very close to ferry wharf. very quiet as pedestrians only on waterfront in front of hotel. breakfast delicious. very comfortable bed. lovely dinner. staff smiling, friendly & helpful. stayed here because of a recommendation from a friend in Australia. they were 100% correct. highly recommend

Excellent location, comfortable and freindly staff.

The hotel is located on the lake and in the old city which is closed for cars. We did not get any instructions how to reach the hotel by car to drop the luggage and then to leave for outside parking. We were wandering for almost 2 hours.

Very nice service at the reception desk, friendly, with tips and ideas for restaurants, transport etc. in the area. Great spot directly near the lake. You should definitely choose the room with a sea-side balcony!

Access with the car/parking is a bit complicated, but is ok, with help/instructions from the reception desk.

The breakfast had everything one would require/want and plenty of it. The staff were excellent, so friendly and helpful. We've stayed there before and enjoyed it so much that we had no hesitation in returning after a circa 10 year absence.

The bathroom was small though complete. Nothing that could be changed.

prime location at the waterfront with an amazing view to Lago Maggiore and the Brissago Islands, if your booking is lake view, it is worth every penny. Most welcoming receptionist. Super clean rooms, in case you need air-con on a Swiss tropical summer night, it’s there. Parking is taken care of, or for the same price there is a public parking nearby. Breakfast buffet has a great variety of products, we spend a full hour on it. We shall return!

Room was very nice and clean. Nice view from THE balcony, you are in THE center of THE town, but not above THE most loud restaurants, which is good! Most comfortable beds ever. Very helpful Staff.

Hotel is a bit loud - you can hear your neighbours talking, watching tv, closing the door. It might be a problem.
