Breakfast was simple. Location was great. Interesting place to stay as the building is unique and has history. Thomas and other staff were friendly and helpful. Guests will receive a Ticino Pass that allows you to use public transport in Ticino for free, saved me alot of money since I was commuting to Lodrino everyday for work and also to Lugano and other nearby towns via train.

Room was small, it felt a little hot during the day in Sept, I can foresee it being an issue especially during the hotter summer months. Walls are quite thin, so you can hear other guest shuffling in their room and as they walk pass down the hall. For the price I was paying, I can't complain much. Would stay again.

The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect. It is really close to the train station, and all the key attaractions in town. It's also well connected with plenty of great hiking routes. The value for money is brilliant. A quick note (but I really did not mind that, and the hotel completely fulfilled my needs and expectations): as I was travelling in November, and the season was low, it was not possible to order breakfast.

Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. You cannot beat the location. The room was clean and actually very modern. I enjoyed being on top floor. The train track is right next to hotel and that’s the only minus for me. It was loud and woke me up all night but that’s not the hostel’s fault. I would definitely return.

Train noise

Clean and quiet hostell. Location is suoerb! Fridge, microwave and lockers. Locked carage for bicycle. Easy to arrive with train. The private room was large enough to stay some days.

Breakfast was really simple. Coop supermarket is in train station where you can buy better breakfast even lower costs.

Everything fine, but very large building. A bit "scary" at night if alone? Dated bathroom and shower facilities, but clean! Would have been good to have option of coffee without sugar at breakfast.

I liked it that during the high season in a room with so many people (i believe there are 12 available beds), we were there in 5! 😂 The hostel is 10-15min away from the Bellinzona main train/bus station. It is in the centre, quiet, only the trains can be heard, as it is next to the railway. The bed is comfy, makes no sounds (as usually) when turning. The breakfast was yummy with so much choice, even with soy mylk! Otherwise there was müsli (corn, oats, chocolate), cheese, ham, bread&jam, honey, tea, coffee, cow milk, fruit.

I would need to pay additional 2€ for luggage if I come before 3pm. I missed vegetables at breakfast and more vegan choice (but congrats on soy mylk😅)

Great hospitality. Comfortable rooms, with many services inside the facility. Great location, close to the city centre. Suggested for cyclists staying one or more nights in the region. Locked room for bikes on site.

Just few choices at breakfast. To be taken into account if you are in the area for hiking or cycling and you need a big breakfast in the morning.

it was a renewed boarding school, so it had some history and grandness. The room was really nice but I bet it becomes hotter with summer approaching. It was already next to the walls of the castle, so it was in a good position if you are planning to hike all the castles. The breakfast was amazing. Also, had to arrive later than checkin time, but the owner waited for me, which was very generous of him. also, super friendly!

The hostel is a bit up the hill, so it’s a hustle with a big suitcase, also there’s no AC, so it might get hot in the summer. Also, the location was in an interesting place where it was a block off from where it tells you on Google maps. However, remember it’s the building with the big parking lot and it’s right next to the walls of one of the castle.

Very helpful staff at the reception. I arrived late and was given very good recommendation of nearby dinner options. Hostel is also at a convenient location next to bus stop, within walking distance to the Central Area.

It's a large old building in a beautiful location. Good value for money. I was able to change from a very large busy dorm thanks to the friendly and helpful reception person,to a quieter one which made a difference. Affordable!
