The hotel is a lovely quaint Hotel in a really peaceful area. The access by car to Zurich is also very good and the prices are not as high as anything closer to Europe. The rooms were big and spacious with big windows and nice views.

The coffee and tea was not in the room, it was outside, which is no problem in general, however often the stocking up of milk or tea bags did not happen regularly which meant it was no always possible to have a cup when you wanted to. My in laws had some issues not having hot water in the morning, I am not sure if the geyser is not big enough to cater for a full hotel, but most of the day this was not an issue.

Poor sound insulation between rooms - in the evening you could hear noises from the neighbouring flat despite neighbours trying to be quiet. When using the shower, you have to be prepared for water to be on half the bathroom floor

We had a great time at Gasthaus zum Bauernhof where the old-time charm is mixed with modern functionality. Spacious and clean rooms, comfy decoration, easy parking, big terrace - anything that you might want to enjoy at the hotel. The restaurant deserves a special attention - it’s definitely worth going there. We went for the full menu and were absolutely not disappointed. The home-made bread was a great addition to our dinner, not to mention a good wine list. We would definitely come back!

The Gasthaus is quiet very good location. The rooms are very quiet and clean. The personal are very kind. The breakfast is very gpod with cereals, good cheese and meats. It is not big hotel, and it makes very pleasure and quiet place.

One of the best places we've ever stayed at. Big, clean, beautifully decorated rooms with modern amenities. The breakfast was superb, with fresh products from the farm. Enough parking space and very, very friendly staff. The building is very cozy and pretty and it's situated close enough both to Zurich and to the mountains.

This is very convenient for Zurich if you prefer to stay somewhere quiet and cosy. Many pretty villages/ towns to visit nearby. Lovely village atmosphere, beautiful views, pleasant staff, great dinner and breakfast (gluten and dairy free not a problem). Room very clean and quiet.

What a pleasure and surprise this stay was. Used it as a one night stop before flying out of Zurich. The premises and staff were a delight, and my traveling party loved the lift after carrying their suitcases up multiple stairs in other recent stays

Stayed too short a time

The staff was amazing, the property intimate and clean. The food was delicious, the chef is very talented. We felt like home.

We just had some funny fights with mosquitoes in our bedroom time to time.

Fresh crispy bread, lots of homemade or local products. Excellent. Wooden floors and traditional furniture create a cosy atmosphere.

I would choose different music for breakfast; but I understand it is local traditional ones. :-)

Everything: the comfortable beds, the generous housemade breakfast, the quietness, the quality and taste of the decoration and the friendliness yet discretion of the family owners. We stayed to visit friends and hapoened upon this more or less accidentally but it is a real jewel! Luxury at decent prices, without the bling but with a heart.

Nothing not to like. Maybe that we only stayed one night!
