Great location overlooking the Rhine. Very updated and comfortable. Close to the Main Street.

The shower is modern with glass walls but only on 3 sides and there is no threshold and the drain was slightly clogged so water ran all over the room. We were able to mop it up with our towels and we showered as quickly as possible. Others had apparently also experienced that because the floor was slightly warped.

Excellent location and a very comfortable bed. good sized room but not the one pictured when booking (with the bath). The owners were very kind was I wasn’t feeling too good and the made us hot lemon drinks and the chef even made the best chicken soup with fresh ingredients. We ate in the restaurant and the food was truly excellent.

No Lift. our room was on the 3rd floor so luggage has to be carried up. Fortunately one of the waiters carried my bag up. No safe in the room but we did feel our things were secure in the room. Breakfast was served on the terrace and the first morning it felt very cold and everyone was wearing their coats. I think they could make better use of the lovely restaurant on the first floor for breakfast. Although the second day was better and we sat outside for breakfast.

The rooms have been recently renovated, all new. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. For breakfast there was a menu to order eggs, omelettes, avocado toast etc. The eating area was directly next to the river.

They could renovate the staircase to the first floor.

Location was perfect, very few tourists in August. Staff was exceptional, carried our luggage to and from room. Room was suite with beautiful view of the Rhein, best rain shower in Switzerland. Dinner was exceptional Offered courtesy complimentary drinks upon arrival

The staff were amazing. Very friendly and helpful. We were on bikes and needed to do laundry. They told us that there were no facilities in town for that purpose and offered to do it for us. It was truly unexpected and greatly appreciated. The rooms were large and recently renovated. Our room was upgraded without request and over looked the Rhine river.

We stayed at the hotel for one night to attend a wedding close by. The friendliness of the staff, location and cleanliness combined with a very reasonable price will bring us back on our next Switzerland trip.

Friendly family Hotel directly on a quiet Rhein shore! Stein am Rhein has an absolut jewel of an old town with well maintained buildings from the middle ages!

No lift. But the host arraged for a young staff member to bring our kuggage to the third floor room!

Ideal location in town and along the river, next to the boats landing stage. Its restaurant on the terrace overlooking the Rhine River. Very nice buffet breakfast, very pleasant and helpful waitress. Comfortable room and beds.

Old bathroom which desperately needs renovation. Restaurant, at dinner, service by one of the lady waitresses not at all up to standard. Due to the fact that it is an old house, it must be mentioned that there are only stairs, no easy access to guests with walking difficulties.

The owners were fantastic here, we arrived on a cold day and they straight away sat us down and gave us a hot coffee to warm up. Everyone during our stay were so nice. Really friendly place with an amazing location and view.

Excellent staff & owners, good food, great location!

No lift, no AC, but there was an oscillating fan in the room which helped tremendously & it was super convenient that we didn’t have to ask for it!
