The room and hotel experience far exceeded my expectations! Traveling as black person can impact your treatment even if you have a very professional and friendly disposition like me. I own a technology company that led to living in Beijing. We stayed at higher end hotels in the Sanlitun area. They were small and poorly designed, etc. Somehow I thought Taiwan hotels would be similar. I was wrong. This hotel was on par with a Westin are Intercontinental room. Except my room had a patio with a table umbrella and seating. It felt like it was on the first floor because of the stones and plants. The Superior Double, bed, bathroom, and room were a very large especially for the region. The breakfast was great, well beyond a continental breakfast that you would get in Scandinavia or Europe. The eggs, and Guava juice were the highlights for me but they had a lot to offer. The staff were very professional. The older bell man was great and really set the tone for the pleasantness of the stay. When I come back to Taiwan this is most likely the hotel I will stay. It’s clear the building is old despite the upgraded facade outside which is well done as well as the early 2000’s western interior design. There are imperfections but you simply won’t beat the combination of comfort, space, water pressure, breakfast, professionalism, location, fast WiFi, at the very competitive prices. In general Taiwan hotels have a great value to cost ratio but this was better IMHO. Oh yea, on the coffee table was a free bottle of wine and a gift box with several high-end toiletry brands. 8.8/10

The bath tub had a 3in. X 6 in. Rectangle cut out of it exposing the inner area. There was a slight smell from the air vents when the fan was blowing. Very much old building thing not concerning. There’s a lot of lobby space filled with nice seating. I think it would be a great area for a hotel bar. Probably can’t do too much about the being cracks that were painted.

The location is kind of in between 2 busy hubs (SOGO and Xi men ding), so you're not in the heart of the action. Breakfast options were humble and tasty, with an effort to change the menu daily. We noticed that to prevent food wastage, they stop replenishing food items from 9am onwards. Hotel lobby was also very grand and the size of the room was also nice. We stayed in room 808 and loved the walk in wardrobe which was big enough for 2 people's clothes to be hung up. Staff were also courteous and friendly.

The hotel is old and it's visible in the maintenance of the rooms. Shower had mould and smelt musky and the interiors were definitely dated. We decided to extend our stay anyway for another 4 nights and on our last morning, wanted to get a massage and then come back to the hotel to shower before heading off, so we requested for a 1h late checkout, which was strictly denied. The hotel was not packed nor busy as we'd checked earlier, so we thought this inflexibility was not a very nice experience.

The location was quite good, around 15 minutes walk to the closest metro station as well as the train to the airport. The room was spacious, especially the bathroom. The internet speed was good. The breakfast was amazing with many local delicacies, and it was also slightly different every day.

Our room on the 7th floor had no window, which made the room feel claustrophobic despite its great size. In addition, the gym on the 11th floor is tiny, equipped with only two treadmills, three bikes and one bench. There are no free weights in the gym and no machines for body building, really nothing.

Located on Nanjing Rd West, 12 minutes walk from the MRT close to Main Station, a supermarket next door & 7/11 cross the Street. Right near Dihua Street. The lobby a great design. Cosy sitting areas, our corner room on 9th flr was quiet wth interesting views. Bathroom a little old fashioned but super clean wth heated mirror. Bed comfy. Didn’t have breakfast there.

The room lighting set up a little strange and the curtains a little tired. Only very minor things.

Location is great - walking distance to the main station and other attractions. Room was spacious.

Air conditioning was only cooling / heat mode not working, which is not great at 15-18 degrees outside. Room we got was top floor, but we were not informed there was a futon and no chairs. We were okay, but that could be an issue for others.

Very good location, close to some sightseeing objects. 15 min to metro station by walking. Big room and bathroom. A lot of space to sit in the common spaces.

Breakfast on the first few days were very bad (because of COVID restrictions we got them into the room). It were not according to the price we paid. On other days, when the restrictions were cancelled, breakfast were sufficient. Should be more suitable for European taste and offer more fruits (your country has so tasty fruits!) Also in my room was no possibility to turn off the air-conditioning, it was so loud, i couldn't sleep

Prime location. Was close to the major attractions. Cannot say spacious, but fairly large room. Room equipped with all facilities. Free self-service coffee. Sturdy mattress(not sunk in the middle of the bed)

Couldn't find the switch for the shower. There was only one power outlet which was not near the bed so this was a bit inconvenient. Also should pack a converter since taiwan operates on 110V. But these were minor issues, at least to me.

Staff is extremely helpful. They held our luggage after our stay because our flight left later in the day so that was great. Hospitality staff did a a great job refurnishing our room. Bellman and greeters are very helpful. Definitely coming here again and would highly recommend. General area is pretty good. Close to ningxia night market. About 2 blocks. Room is perfect size. Great for 2 people.

Floor or carpet looked a bit off. No biggie. Duvet didn't fully close for some reason. Every place has it's little things though.

The guy in the front desk was very polite and speaks cantonese. I checked in after midnight, but the guy was very helpful. The bed was very comfortable. I add breakfast and it was very good.

I don't like that through booking.com, i can't book any two-bed bedroom but only single bed room. However, i found the two-bed rooms were cheaper on another platform and also breakfast were included.

GREAT breakfast! The breakfast restaurant is under rated or none rated. Breakfast is very good and staff are professional. One of main reasons we will be back. Entrance security Raymond is really outstanding. He is very helpful, professional and knowledgeable! All these front staff must be taken care of.
