The pools are fantastic, lovely shaded area for the little ones to swim in so you don’t have to worry about sunburn! The rooms are simple but very comfortable, we enjoyed the quiet of the back rooms. The staff are all very friendly and super helpful, thank you for organising our wonderful excursions. There are lots of other properties along the beach so you can have a change of scenery/lumch just a short walk away.

The quality of food out of the kitchen can be a big hit and miss and no children’s menu, so their meals become a bit expensive. However we did have some good meals and the pricing is very fair for generous adult portions.

Pools are great, rooms are nice, but very dark. Breakfast is nice, lots of choice. Rooms are cleaned really well. In general this hotel offers much much more than other one's which I stayed in on this island for quite a bit more money. So definitely great value.

Wifi had no signal in the room. The fact you leave windows wide open after cleaning the room is insane to me, I get that you have tall fence, security and noone can get inside, but believe me tourist's can steal as well.. I had some expensive items left on shelve in front of the window which was left wide open, you should stop doing that for the sake of safety of someone's belongings... Another issue I had with leaving windows open was the mosquitoes. On arrival day I had killed over 20 of them, and every other day had to do the same, because the windows were left open after cleaning the room. Yes, your staff do come in the evening and spray the room to kill them, but it doesn't work on all of them. Fix this two issues, and experience will be much better:)

Very nice room, lovely personnel, Margaret, Rachelle, Ismaël, Hassan and all others will make sure your stay is Wonderfull. Special thanks also to our F1 cook, “Sergio Perez”. Whenever we had a request he made sure we got it. We enjoyed everything when we stayed at Fun Beach and will definitely return to here in future.

Maggy and Sam at the reception were extremely welcoming from the moment we arrived. They ensured we had everything we needed. Maggy planned all the excursions and transport for us. These 2 stuff members are the best. My kids loved and enjoyed our stay at fun beach to a point even after relocating to our next hotel we went back to pay them a little visit. They went out of their way to still help us plan excursions even when we were not staying there anymore. I’d love to come back with my dad.

The place is far from most of the other activities but other than that it was exceptionally beautiful

We had a nice family vacation. The staff is helpful, the pool is one of the best in Zanzibar. Number one for those who want to stay away from noise and crowds. Very nice for families with children.

I think it would not be fair to make any negative comments. But there is no TV in the rooms, if you are going to watch TV instead of swimming and relaxing, it is the wrong place. There are not many options for the menu, except that the food is delicious, especially the seafood. Also tourists should know that the sea is receding due to the tide and the beach is not always available.

EVERYTHING! The staff, the individual cabins, the food, the pools, the beach, the cleainess, and the list goes on and on. What a wonderful place to end a 3 1/2 week vacation to Tanzania. The games room was an added touch, as well. The decor was amazing, too! Seeing as it is a smaller facility, which is what we enjoy, the staff remembered your names. It was like your home away from home! You will not be disappointed with choosing this hotel.

Absolutely nothing. Everything was perfect!

Rooms were nice, breakfast was good, the pools are great. When there is low tide you can go in the sea to search for starfish. We found them. Take your sea shoes with you because there are sea urkins in the water. Margaret deserves a special thank you as she is the one that organizes the trips. So thank you Margaret.

The electricity is sometimes an issue as it can disconnect. Luckily there is a generator available but the A/C does not always recover after a power failure. The reception staff helps restore the A/C all you have to do is inform them. Also the road leading to the hotel is not the best. A 4x4 vehicle surely helps.

The staff, location and beach access is what we liked the most about the property. Mary, Maragaret, Priscilla, Anderson, Elias, Fred was amazing and rendered excellent customer service during our entire stay!!!! Mary made sure that we ALWAYS have everything we may have needed. She was very friendly and professional during our stay. By the end of our short stay, Mary felt like family! She will truly be missed! Mary is definitely an valued asset to Fun Beach Hotel!

There really wasn’t anything we did not like the property. We truly enjoyed our stay!

The swimming pools were fantastic, 3 very large pools, excellent for proper swimming. The hotel is right on the beach and it is a great beach for walking. It was nice having a small lounge with hammock outside the bungalow. The restaurant was good and the breakfast was excellent with lots of fresh fruit, selection of cereal etc. We loved the games room with table tennis and table football. The lounge area was also very comfortable. The staff (especially Margaret) were incredibly friendly and helpful. They kindly took out some sea urchin spikes from my husband's foot! Highly recommend this hotel. We stayed in 4 different hotels during our stay in Zanzibar and this was the highlight.

The wifi didn't always work in the room. The bungalow is a little small for 3 tall people.

Beautiful complex, bungalows and pools! Very clean, hammocks infront of the bungalow, right on the beach, felt like a paradise!

The price-performance ratio of the food. Food quality depended on the time of the day. The lunch was good but in the evening, they did not put an effort into it. The "warm chocolate brownie" was cold and hard as a rock, the fries were cold and not fully cooked, the bread tasted like it was a few weeks old. No mosquito nets on the windows, wifi could be better. Also the staff did not seem very happy to work there
