Really nice small resort, nice restaurant, nice pool, friendly staff, very friendly cook who helps beyond his responsibility. We were also able to use the massage and yoga services offered by neighbor resorts and that was great.

We booked 2 rooms apartment but realized 1 room was actually an entrance with beds. Can work out for a family but for us was not ideal, also because 1 toilet for 4 people is tight. The staff at reception and restaurant is junior and speaks so so English. We would suggest that the European managers who anyways sit in the spaces there all day (Czech) would be in turn at reception and take care of customers.

Nice quiet family hotel located on the seashore. Good breakfast, but would like a little variety. There are several restaurants in the area on the beach where you can have a tasty dinner. The rooms are clean, the plumbing is new, the humidity due to the weather leaves much to be desired. Very nice good-natured owners of the hotel, I send them my regards

Everything was just PERFECT! We traveled with our 2 years old so it was a great advantage to have the whole spacious bungalow for us (and not just some tiny hotel room). The pool is perfect for a family with such a little kiddo as it is divided to two parts - in one there is just a water lower than knees so great for a toddler. Domenico (the owner) is great as a person and also a great chef. He prepares whatever you need for you - for breakfast and also during the rest of the day. The beach is private and yes - you cannot really swim in the ocean in the eastern part of Zanzibar. No big deal for us - the accommodation is close to the beach in the calm area. Anyway, it is nice walk on the beach to see all the locals who try to sell you anything on this planet. :) We also walked to the other resorts, you can swim in theirs pools if you buy something (a drink or food). Also can use other resorts restaurants and services if wanted. If you are a family with a toddler or small kids, this is must have place to stay for you! :) Highly recommended!! PS: We also went to Kendwa to check the place and we decided to stay here in Kiwengwa. Kendwa is (from my personal view) for younger people who like to party. And it is also super super crowded! No relax vacation vibe or feeling. We believe that it is better to stay in Kiwengwa if you are a family with a little kid.

This is a gem of a place! Great location, beautiful grounds, feels like a private little oasis. Authentic bungalows, ours had a view of the sea and the beach garden. Loved waking up there every morning. Staff so lovely and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them. We felt very at home here. Excellent restaurant too! Thanks Domenico and your fabulous team. Would recommend!

What a lovely place to stay! It was perfect for us with our 2 young boys. The beach was amazing and the hotel itself was brilliant. Extra bonus was the kids play area. The food was fabulous and the location ideal. We spent 6 nights here after a safari in Tanzania and it was perfect. I did loads of research on locations and hotels and was so glad I chose this place. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay from the very beginning to the last moment. We arrived after climbing Kilimanjaro and so were looking for rest, relaxation, excellent food, a great beach, and wonderful service. We could not rate Kiwengwa beach highly enough for the attentiveness of the staff, the incredible food courtesy of a very talented Italian chef, and the relaxed beach bar. The honeymoon arch made out of fresh flowers was a particular favourite!

Absolutely nothing at all. We loved the setting, the wonderful staff, and the excellent food.

The facilities are very nice, clean and spacious rooms. The pool also great. Breakfast was nice, a good variety of options. The beach is only a few steps away. The staff is very nice! I even get a surprise birthday song and cake! Super special.

My only observations are: dinner - it was à la carte (and very good, don't get me wrong), but I would prefer buffet. And I could only go to the beach after noon, because of the low tide in the morning.

We loved our time at KBB and will be back. Shani and her staff team were all fantastic, attentive, friendly and could not have done more to make our stay excellent. They went out their way to accommodate us all including the kids and they loved the kids pool and the kids play area! We’d definitely recommend.

I really liked the apartment, it was super cosy and pretty. And it was very relaxing to stay at the swimming pool. Also the beach is beautiful, however there is a huge difference between low and high tight. But during low tight you can walk out the very long foodbrigde to the restaurant and swim from there. So perfect location. Also the food, Italian food is super delicious. And everyone was very helpful, we received everything we asked for, that was really kind. Thank you and all the best

We had great relaxing time in Kiwengwa. The facilities are very comfortable, great restaurant and really good food. The access to the private beach is trough the internal sand path, but it is just a few steps. The beach is perfect with comfortable sun beds, and there is a beach front restaurant also with great food and drinks. It is very safe. This location and this boutique resort is more quiet and cozy, which we appreciated mostly. I strongly recommend to stay there.
