The atmosphere really tropical and the yard was so authentic for Zanzibar. The staff were really nice and relaxed as well as helpful. The cleanliness was 10 out of 10, everyday cleaned room, fresh towels and there was mosquito spray in the room to help the mosquito nets on the windows.

The doors, the shower cabin and the cabinets were a little worn out.

The hotel has a perfect central location in Nungwi, with many cafes, bars, shops, and more nearby. Despite this, the street where the hotel is situated is quiet. The atmosphere at the hotel is calm and comfortable. At the reception, I was able to buy a SIM card at a reasonable price, because outside the hotel they tried to sell me a SIM card for three times the price, which was outrageous. The water in the shower is quite salty, but it didn't cause me any discomfort. They have their own water well, which I found to be excellent, and I am confident that the water is safe for my health. They provided drinking water for brushing teeth. By the way, the drinking water was available in unlimited quantities and was free of charge. The breakfast was good. The staff helped me get around Nungwi and gave me a lot of useful advice. I parked my rental car near the hotel without any issues. I can recommend this hotel if you are on a tight budget and do not require luxury.

Great experience. This was the only hotel in Zanzibar out of the five I booked that had really good water pressure! The water was also hot and came on instantly—you didn't have to wait or adjust the shower like in other hotels. Only at the end of my vacation in Zanzibar, staying at Max Hotel, was I able to have a proper shower, which is amazing... The breakfast was delicious. My stay at the hotel lasted only one night, and I deeply regretted not booking more nights at Max... It's time for me to head home. Zanzibar is a very beautiful island.

The hotel is located 5’ on foot far from the beach.Also , the staff helped us immediately to arrange a pick up taxi to the hotel even we requested it last minute. The breakfast was really nice.It is served and it consists of a fruit platter and you can choose eggs or the local donuts. The room was super clean and it had also a sofa outside in a shared big balcony.

the roads are dirt with potholes and the passage is not very easy especially if it rains because they become muddy. Though , this is all over Nungwi area.

Hello! I stayed at this hotel for one night at first, but I liked it and stayed for two more days. The weather, of course, was not very lucky, but the hotel owners Max and Daria did everything possible to ensure that this did not become a problem for the vacationer. About the hotel itself. This is a very pleasant and cozy place. Great beds. There are no problems with water, with the Internet and this is important, there is even a hairdryer; anyone who has been to Zanzibar will understand the value of this “little thing”. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are big and clean, breakfast is really nice and the location is perfect (2-3 min walk from the beach). The hotel helped us to arrange day trips and taxis a lot cheaper than anywhere else.

WIFI is not really good

Good value for money. The room was clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make my stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Nungwi. The beach is not so far from hotel. The road takes 5-7 minutes. There are many cafes for lunch around the hotel. I attended yoga classes at nearby hotel. Without doubt Zanzibar is one of the beautiful places I have ever been. Go to the beach and enjoy the vibe. Do not spend time on being in the hotel)). I had a great night's sleep, my room was clean and the water pressure was strong! And I was finally able to wash myself with hot water!!! In other hotels the water was barely warm. Breakfast was good and served in a very nice place decorated with shells! The free drinking water was also nice. The place matches the description. I will be back Mr Dickson was very helpful!

You have to pay to get your laundry washed. The hotel is good value for money but would be nice if that can be added as an extra bonus or added to the price of the hotel or depending on the frequency of the washes to be made.

The hotel is ideally located. Three minutes walk to one of the best beaches in Nungwi. Beautiful green and very well maintained area. Delicious and varied breakfasts. Clean rooms. You can feel the care of the guests: there is an adapter for an outlet, cups for drinking water, mosquito spray, good bedding and towels, and much more. Ideal for vacation with children.

I wanted to extend my stay, but there were no rooms available. I advise you to plan your vacation in advance.
