Kijani Beach Villa was a revelation! Ten days of pure bliss in this little corner of paradise created by José, Maarten and their two children. With our feet in the white sand, lulled by the gentle lapping of the waves, we savoured every moment. The turquoise waters and azure skies create an idyllic picture, complemented by the lush vegetation and birdsong. Aliya, the manager, is a ray of sunshine who did everything she could to make our stay even more magical. The staff are attentive, discreet and smiling. The boat trips and activities on offer delighted the whole family. And what about the cuisine? A treat at every meal, thanks to the chef's talent for concocting tasty dishes. An unforgettable stay! Nothing ! Everything is perfect

The villas have an interesting architecture; the view over the ocean is magnificent. The personnel is friendly and trying to help.

Unfortunately there was a fire before our arrival but instead of delaying the repairs till after the high season, the establishment had already started the work and there was a lot of noise. The ocean is very dirty (not the establishment’s fault) but no one really wanted to bathe in the ocean and that was quite of a disappointment. The service ( both room cleaning and especially in the restaurant) was extremely slow and inefficient.

Beautiful villa, looks just like the pictures with a beautiful view of the sea from the downstairs bedroom. It's quite unusual to see an accommodation online and for it to look exactly as the pictures depict it. Breakfast was great, nice selection of fruit with the main dish and love that water is freely and readily available. The staff were lovely, accommodating and very friendly.

It was a little hard to find when driving there as maps took us to an incorrect location at first, more signage would be great.

The breakfsast and the meals in general were very good. The rooms were quite nice. After we came back from our rides the rooms were always cleaned and tidied up with fresh towels and fresh bottles of water. I was overwhelmed by the friendliness of the staff there, specially the manager Aliya. She was always asking if everything was ok, if we needed something, etc. She helped us to organize all the tours (with very good suggestions and providing the driver). On our last day, our flight from Zanzibar to Dubai was cancelled due to poor weather conditions in Dubai. So, again, Aliya suggested and helped us to book a flight from Zanzibar to Dar Es Salaam and from there we were able to catch a plane to Dubai the next day.

The beach in front of the hotel is ok for a good walk, but for swimming I would say is not the best one.

We had an incredible time at Kijani Villas in Bwejuu. Everything was perfect for our diverse group (and of different ages). Our host, Alyja, was exceptional. Her positive energy was infectious, and she went above and beyond to make our stay special. From organizing bicycle excursions to booking taxis and even arranging a doctor when one of us fell ill, Alyia was a fantastic host. We would love to return, not only for the beautiful villas and great team but also for Alyia's warm and exceptional hospitality. The grounds are stunning, featuring a beautifully designed pool and a main building that seamlessly combines local traditions and impressive engineering. They also have a great in-house shop on grounds for sustainable souvenirs. The food was really good, moreover the location of Kijani Villas is close to authentic gems like Abdi's place, where you can enjoy incredible fresh seafood. The new villas offer amazing view from the balconies and paired with the free access to the more rustic Bellevue Bungalows in the forest behind you get two very different and lovely settings for your holiday. The fantastic team look after you every need and the caring owners consider the place a part of the island, not apart from it. Our stay was truly wonderful, and I could continue praising it, but I recommend you go ahead and book. We can only hope to return someday. Thank you everyone for making our holidays so special!

The entrance of one of the villas is through one of the room, we thought this might be an issue as we were two adult couples staying there - but in the end it wasn't at all. We understood this was the first built villa - the prototype - so the other villas don't have this problem.

Amazing location and staff. The villa was very large and comfortable - particularly the outdoor space. The staff where so friendly and accommodating. The manager and owner made sure all of our needs were met - at our request they made activity and restaurant recommendations and coordinated tour guides/reservations. It is a small hotel - staff knew my name and preferences and made me feel welcome.

Beautiful location with amazing views. All the staff and manager were extremely friendly and helpful. The villa was lovely and clean with a sea view.

Very little that we didn’t like. The only things I can think of is that there was only one bathroom in the 2 bed villa which was a bit annoying to share between 4 people. Also we had a problem with charging our gadgets as all the sockets in the villa were 2 pin like European ones but the rest of Zanzibar are 3 pin like uk. We hadn’t bought suitable adapters from UK as we didn’t think we would need them. Even the local town didn’t have the adapters we needed.

I've been putting off writing this review because then I would have to reconcile the fact that I've left Kijani. My new life's mission is to find a way back. This. Place. Is. Incredible. Each villa has a sea view, an insanely beautiful terrace with a private plunge pool, seating area, and tanning beds. My goodness, I never wanted to leave. The most beautiful serene white-sand beaches, comfortable seating areas to just soak it all in and reflect on life - Kijani is truly paradise on earth. Staff are lovely - special shout out to Sham! The owners live on-site and are very welcoming and warm. Plenty of beach bars around the hotel, but it's really hard to want to leave your villa :) Kijani serves THE best cocktails...so I fail to see why you'd even want to venture out :) 10/10 Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Zanzibar. Can't wait to go back.

The place is still relatively new, so finding the hotel was a bit tough the first day as there is no signage.

Relaxing well designed property that is great for families. Staff and owners were amazing, helpful, and kind. The pool was fantastic and very clean. The food was healthy and had good variety.

While beach was long and pretty, the ocean was only swimmable during high tide. Even then, mostly seaweed and urchins.

The villas are very stylish, well maintained and immaculately cleaned every day. The location is superb. The people, ranging from the deeply involved owners, to Manager Aliya and the restaurant staff are lovely, helpful and went out of their way to make our stay a happy and memorable one.

The villas are fabulous and quite large for just a couple. It would be ideal for a family of 4-5.
