You can really tell that the staff is going above and beyond for you to have a comfortable stay. I was also lucky enough to meet amazing girls in my dorm so making friends was not a problem at all. The facilities are clean, washing takes 50 minutes for 50 bahts, you have a rooftop and a little pool, the communal area is open and a lot of light can come in. The beds are comfortable, room is spacious. The location is great, in walking distance of multiple convenient places: 7eleven, gym, massage, temples, restaurants, bars. I really recommend staying there!

It’s a very minor thing but I would add a mirror in the female dorm or at least in close proximity.

Beautiful hostel, felt more like a boutique hotel. Common area and pool are very nice and social, bathrooms are very nice and clean. and the staff were very friendly. Excellent location just outside the old town, right where Saturday night market is located.

The dorm room was very small and packed. Not enough space for bags of 8 people (big backpacks and carry ons do not fit in storage locker. Also, they’re almost always fully booked, so I’m assuming rooms are full). Not enough storage space in the bed. For the price I expected a nicer room with more space. That being said, I would love to come back.

It’s a calm and relaxing hostel where you can meet plenty of young travelers. Nice for socializing and exchanging ideas with like minded people, not the environment where you would get wasted drinking all night. The staff was warm and welcoming, from time to time they joined social activities and board games with the guests, and they were very helpful in for booking tours and suggesting nearby shops and activities. It was lovely to work in the lobby during rainy days with the green yard view. The location is perfectly situated close to everything and having the market just across the street makes it very convenient to eat fresh food there (also a 7eleven just in front). The hostel promotes ethical activities, organic food, recycling and supports the local community. I would definitely come back and suggest it to my friends visiting Chiang Mai!

I was assigned a room on the first floor and the common toilets and showers for women are on the second floor, so a bit inconvenient if you need to go at night.

It was very clean and comfortable the shared bathroom was also clean aswell as the kitchen we had a private bedroom so cannot review the shared bedrooms the staff were amazing so helpful and put us on to the best local food spots and we ate like queens theirs steer market on Saturdays outside the hostel and you would think it would be loud but it was so quite and peaceful

The hostel is beautiful, very well located and amazing decoration. It was always very clean everywhere. They offered a cold water dispenser to refill your bottle and nice free ice cream. The pool was also amazing for a quick refreshing dip during the hot days. The common area has some books and games, which were always fun to play in the evening before going to bed. The lobby has many flyers for amazing tours, through them we booked amazing experiences that we will never forget. I can confidently say that the Hidden Garden Hostel hat the BEST staff, who always greeted us so kindly with a smile and were always ready to help. Together in a workshop they taught us how to make Bua Loy, an incredible Thai dessert. We also learned a few words in Thai from them, which have been so helpful! Thank you for making our stay in the most beautiful city of Chiangmai so special! ขอบคุณค่ะ

The hostel was beautiful and clean. We felt at home straight away because the staff were so lovely. The free ice lollies were such a fun plus! Beds were sooo comfy we actually struggled to get up every day. Love the location, so nice being in the old town and right by the night market which was delicious. Would definitely stay again!

Bathrooms were only cleaned once a day it seemed and since so many people use them could have been checked again in the day, usually quite dirty by the evening but great in the morning.

Lovely facility, clean private room, staff super friendly and helpful. They have been amazing! Do not know how are the shared rooms as I stayed in a private, but I strongly suggest this accommodation.

Noise during the night. Shared rooms clients have not been very polite and spoke out loud late at night despite the signage from the staff asking for silence during night hours.

This is the PLACE team, if you're in Chiang Mai, this hostel is a strong contender for the best one around. It's such an unassuming door on a main street, once you head in it's so beautiful and lush, relaxed and lovely! There's free coffee tea and snacks, free cold drinking water, the bathrooms and showers are many and all very good, with hot water and slippers to wear in the bathrooms. I didn't use the pool so I can't comment, it's beautiful but very small. One thing I will focus on is the STAFF. Absolute GEMS. They helped me with so much, getting a scooter at closing time, helping make my hitchhiking sign, suggesting places and most importantly, great conversation. Would visit again and feel right at home, just because of the team. See you again next time, friends!

Awesome hostel. Super easy to meet people. I loved that the Sat night market is right in front of the hostel. Easy walk to anywhere in old town. Beds were spacious and had nice curtains, lights, and outlets. The staff and other travelers here were great.

The lockers were a bit small for a large backpacking bag. I ended up having to take my things out of my bag and place them in the locker.
