The rooms were super clean, with soft fluffy extra large bath sheets, and the housekeeper was so attentive to our requests. I asked for some milk for making coffee on the 1st day and each of the 5 days we were there she left a small jug of fresh milk in our fridge. She stocked the mini bar with 8 bottles daily of drinking water, and put 3 new sets of towels in the room when turning down the beds in the afternoon. Anthony, the food and beveridge director, does a superb job of running 2 of the best local restaurants and the excellent breakfast buffet, one of the best during our month in Thailand. Both the restaurants decor, landscaping and general vibe is so relaxing, that we enjoyed 2 superb dinners at the Italian restaurant.

Too many dogs allowed to roam the hotel grounds. Many guests bring their dogs to the pool area and restaurants although it is prohibited. I stepped in dog poop by our sun bed next to the pool one morning. The staff cleaned it up very quickly. Even so I would still come back to this hotel because the staff are amazing.

We spent 10 days here and it was pure bliss. The resort is stunning, food was amazing and the staff went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable. Special shout out to Jackie and team at the pool bar.

The vibe and design of this place as well as the staff was outstanding. Location was great too. Easy walk to night market, fish restaurants and quick taxi rides to shopping centres as well as cicada market. We all including the kids had an amazing time

This is a fantastic hotel. Decorated and furnished beautifully. It’s a lovely modern, cool contrast to what you’d typically find in Thailand. It’s super trendy without being pretentious. Specific praise goes to Praca (the restaurant). The food was delicious.

A few things were slightly off perfect. Not bad, but could have been better. Firstly, the breakfast and pool staff could have been a bit slicker. Some of the staff nailed it, others weren’t, this led to slightly inconsistent service during our stay. Finally, it can be a bit of a walk from the pool back to your room, depending on which block you’re in. Perhaps they could figure out a a shortcut.

great quirky design elements that are fresh and lively. The staff are great and helpful. a definite destination holiday with lots of instagrammable spots.

Breakfast service can be improved upon with clearing trollies per area and dedicated cleaners. we had to wait in line for about 15 minutes before a table became available. others waited longer.

The greenery in the resort was lovely. Rooms were very modern and very well furnished. The location was superb. Beach and the sea was amazing. We could swim and come back to room to take shower, as the beach was very very close. The poolside area and the beach chairs and bar was lovely. They served excellent cocktails and eatable whole day. the room Jacuzzi was nice. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Breakfast was nice and staff offered to make extra dishes customized although the spread was already good. Activities and music was good. we got complimentary two drinks a day per person. In addition there was happy hour.

The bathroom shower area and bathtub needs to be divided to avoid the water entering the entire bathroom. Since we go swimming in pool, sea twice a day, it is inevitable that we take multiple baths and it was becoming risky in wet bathroom. room was great but little small for three persons. Restaurants are expensive, portions were small and offered almost no veg options. Being touristy place we expected some continental food.

Our stay at Standard was exceptional, when we got there, our room was nice and ready. Moreover, they prepared baby cot with cute pink bedding set, bottle sterilizer and baby bath, which made our vacation even more comfortable. All the facilities at hotel were great, we loved weekly events that held in hotel such as morning yoga, kid’s activities at hut. Also, spa treatment at hotel was the best I ever had during my vacation in Huahin. Our family really enjoyed our one week stay at Standard Huahin, we will definitely come back for vacation again.

Minor concerns were that our room became really humid during night around humidity level of 80-85% (on baby room temp/ moisture monitor) which made us little restless. Just wish there were dehumidifier in room to use as an option.

The cost! Not just of the room but prices for drinks and food A sign was up saying deck chairs could not be pre-booked and possessions would be removed from chairs not used after 20 minutes. This was not enforced and made getting a chair very difficult. Should have put the sign up in languages other than English, although one of the main culprits we saw were an English family Property was a little further out from centre of town than I expected

The Standard Hua Hin is a beautifully designed, tropical escape. Even though it's within walking distance of all of Hua Hin's amenities, it's a quiet and peaceful oasis. The staff are incredible and so helpful and friendly. Both restaurants offer some of the best food within Hua Hin and the buffet breakfast is outstanding. Our villa was quiet, beautifully designed (so, so stylish – feels a bit mid-century Palm Springs) and had its own mini pool. The main pool area is great, with loungers overlooking the sea or pool. The pool bar team are so helpful and friendly and the poolside menu offers Thai food and American style salads, burgers and tacos. A really superb stay. The spa is beautiful and the technicians really know their stuff.

Only one tiny gripe is that the gym was really small, so had to queue for equipment and there were too many kids in the pool, so swimming laps was tricky.
