Friendly hospitable mother and son team running the hostel. Location is great. 7-11 and morning market are nearby. Night market and lake is a few minutes stroll away. Bike rental 2 streets further down the road. Room is clean and each "pod" is comfortable with personal light and power socket. AC unit is strong. Bed is comfortable and comes with a duvet. Personal shelf space for luggage is adequate and room has a small lockable cabinet for each person. Adequate toilet facilities for the hostelites. No problem with wifi connection. Every morning there will be bananas and biscuits on the table in the common area. Hot beverages are provided and there is a water dispenser. A great place to rest after venturing around Mae Hong Son and the outskirts.

In general this was a really nice hostel, super clean, good staff, some free cookies in the morning, good location, etc Almost perfect except...

Sadly the mattresses were a dealbreaker. The hardest I ever slept on, it felt like sleeping on a stone or like I might as well have slept on the floor. I don't even understand why mattresses like this exist. Anyways my sleep here was poor and uncomfortable. If this is no concern for you then this hostel is a great choice. For me I wouldn't come back just because of how uncomfortable the mattress was.

I recently spent a night at Saiyud Hostel and overall, found the stay quite pleasant. The place was clean and comfortable, and the owner was notably helpful and attentive, contributing to a positive environment.

There were a couple of aspects that could be improved. The air conditioning was turned off quite early, causing me to wake up sweating, which was inconvenient. Additionally, the provided lockers were notably small, which could be a concern for guests with larger valuables. Aside from these minor inconveniences, my experience at Saiyud Hostel was largely positive and I found the rest of my stay to be perfect.

Really nice, clean and tidy feeling space, all the kitchen amenities you'd need, right next to a market and walking distance from the night market too. The beds have curtains and feel super private and cozy and there's loads of room to keep your stuff. The lady working there was very kind too.

Bring your own toiletries, towel and hair dryer (wouldnt blame them for not providing this though.. the room rate is already cheap!) The aircon is on from 4pm - 6am.

One of the best hostel I ever stayed in. The host super nice, well knowledgeable about the area, speaks decent english. The place itself is clean and comfortable. Easy to socialize with other people. To get your work done. Wifi is also great. The room is clean and comfortable. The mattress is hard but it is standard in thailand. Location is the best, 4min walk to night market, 1 min walk to 7/11, atm and some restaurants around. Good value for money Will stay again

It’s a new hostel. Super clean. Central location and easy walk to walking street/local attractions. Spacious dorm. Nice social/common space on separate floor from dorms. Small locker for valuables along with privacy curtains, personal plug and light. Owner doesn’t speak much English but tries to help if needed.

Ants in my bed but not uncommon in Thailand and they quickly moved me to another bed. Minor annoyance that they charge extra if you want a towel. Pretty much every other hostel, even ones that cost less per night, has included it.

The hostel was perfect. The dorm was big with big shelves for backpacks and lockable lockers. The social area dowm stairs is laid out well with kitchen drinks and plates. The hostel is new and spotless, very close to night market Street and over the road from the day market.

The perfect hostel. Everything looks like brand new inside the premises. There are many bathrooms with showers for the amount of people on both dorm rooms. Everything is so clean. There is a nice common space to chillax with hot/cold water dispenser and superfast wifi. They keep the luggage when you check in early or check out late. The owner is a very nice lady who is always smiling and the family that lives downstairs is always ready to help.

staff gave me wrong information about the visa extension unfortunately. also even thought I asked them three times to register me as a guest, when I was at the immigration office I was still not registered. if you are going for visa extension, make sure you got passport pictures with you (you can make them at the copy shop very close to the hostel in fact!!!) and make sure you are registered correctly
