I stayed in a beachfront bungalow and it was superb. Sleeping to the sound of the waves, the beautiful sunsets, the quiet peaceful atmosphere, it was glorious. A Long Beach to walk along , with a number of different restaurant choices. The massage lady at the resort was 10/10 amazing! Food delicious with a lot of choices and the staff were fabulous; friendly helpful and kind. I loved my stay here. Stayed 6 nights & left the resort only once. Highly recommend

Only point to mention is there are some steep steps to get from reception & restaurant to beach and also to where the scooters are parked. It took a few climbs to get used to it, though was surprising how quickly it became easier.

We stayed for 6 nights and such a relaxing time. Coming from a bungalow with AC and less jungle feeling before we were a little nervous, bit directly fell in love with the place, the people and the nature. The food was super good (Chu Chee Baracuda, I miss you), the beach next the bungalows is really beautiful, offers snorkeling spots and some more food and bar options if desired. The massage was really nice. The bungalow had a ventilator and we could sleep really well listening to the waves. It was cleaned every day, got new sheets every second day. The team was really nice and could help us with all requests including booking a snorkeling tour Koh Rok and Koh Haa which was a unique and impressive experience. Also enjoying live music and drinks served in coconut shells at roots cafe while watching the sunset was one of our highlights.

I small fridge in the bungalow would have been really nice.

We chanced upon this place and it was exactly what we were looking for - a simple bungalow overlooking the beach. The room was a decent size and the bathroom pretty basic, and it had a lovely deck overlooking the beach and we thought it was the best beach on the island as well. The breakfast was ok, the staff very friendly. There are a number of places to eat along the beach and along the road nearby.

There is no wifi in the rooms, only in the restaurant area. There is no fridge nor air con in the rooms - we knew that when we booked it but just so you are aware.

Just gorgeous! We stayed here for 3 nights and were so sad to leave. The service is wonderful, we received a beautiful welcome and always felt taken care of. The beach is stunning and the sunsets are breathtaking. 💖 The room is comfortable and the beds are great. It’s basic living but you have everything you need. This is the perfect place to switch off and spend some quiet time. Koh Jum is very rural and beautiful. The breakfast and other menu options are also delicious. We would love to come back in the future. If anyone find anything wrong with Jungle Hill, I’m quite sure the problem is with them and not the hotel 😉🙏 Thank you so much to all the wonderful staff at jungle hill!

A paradise island with a bungalow in earshot of lapping waves. The restaurant was excellent. Every meal was fabulous. My bungalow was at the furthest and highest end providing a great boot camp exercise programme and great privacy being on the jungles edge.

By the same token of providing a good means of getting fit. The climbing up and down to the restaurant and beach would not suit a person with poor level of fitness. A noticeable problem was the layer of grit that accumulated on my bed every day. I think the fan was blowing dirt from the jungle or the mosquito netting needed a good wash. In any case there wasn't a big mozzie problem and the grubby net wasn't required.

Superb location right at the oceanfront with a very nice view. The sun was setting behind Koh Phi Phi, simply stunning. The personell was very friendly, the food in the restaurant good, but we found better places on the island. The beach was not crowded and very nice, don't expect a white sand dream beach, but it's a nice typical Koh Jum beach just a couple of steps away from the hotel. The room and bathroom were very basic, but for the price totally acceptable.

We visited with our almost two year old toddler, and from the pictures here on booking or the description it wasn't clear that everything was build on wooden stilts connected with planks, some of which where quite far apart. This was quite hazardous for our child, so I wouldn't recommend this place for families with small children, because the danger of falling down on the cliffs below seemed quite big. In general we liked the location, we would have wished for a better description beforehand though.

We went there with our 1-year old baby- this place isn't exactly baby-friendly due to all the stairs and open balconies, but we had a great time anyways. The beach right in front is rocky but we found a nice, shady cove where the baby could play and we could dip in between the rocks. The staff was great and went above and beyond to accomodate us and provided an extra fan for the baby. All in all, a great place and great value for money.

Food was okay but seemed like it was the same everywhere on the island.

Wonderful location which the resort name reflects accurately. Forested canopy, with birds and occasionally monkeys. Short but steep descent to pleasant beach, ( difficult steps for oldies like us but manageable), usually quiet beach, plenty of space. High tide can be a shock whenever it comes almost to bottom of steps. Various types of huts available with different comforts. Restaurant is half way up or down the hil according to your hut location. Plenty of simple good restaurants along the beach too.

Lack of cupboards or tables for clothes and travel goods. Although restaurant food was excellent, the area is simply not big enough to cope at normal meal times with the total number of guests, some of whom stay far too long with their computers too, and hurtling small children can be a problem sometimes. However 3 other nearby beach restaurants have similar good food at similar prices, and are usually quiet to enjoy sunsets especially.

It’s on the beach and very different as you actually feel as if you are in the jungle.At night you hear the sound of monkeys!The staff were friendly.It’s very basic!

There was no hot water in our little house.You can see the light through the floorboards.The WiFi didn’t reach our room.We were also disappointed that we weren’t picked up from the pier by the hotel and had to pay a taxi fee per person.

The location was perfect: the best on the island. On the beach but close to nice restaurants and bars. The staff were delightful and the manager was exceptionally helpful in arranging everything we needed: boat trips, transfers, bike hire.
