The hostel is clean, with a great location and it’s quiet. Cleaning and water are provided every day. The only thing missing was a drying rack on the balcony.

Hip Hostel is a no frills, cheap, and clean stay for anyone in the Patong area. It's extremely close to Jungceylon and other plazas / malls as well as the infamous Bangla Street and Patong Beach itself. The staff are super polite and helpful with suggestions on where to go and what to do. Would recommend other travellers to stay here!

The room description and pictures mentioned a safety deposit box in the room, but nothing was available in our room. The bathroom had a slightly wet/damp smell when we checked in, but overall it was okay.

- Great location, very close to bus stop (Phuket Smart Bus, PEA Patong stop) about 3 minutes by walk. // Close to Family mart and Central Patong shopping mall, and Bangla walking street is only 5 mins by walk. - Staffs were very nice. - Very clean

- The property turn off the air con at 11AM-2PM for room service, for those who leave early it’s absolutely okay, but for some partygoers who wake up so late, might find just a bit uncomfortable.

The Hip Hostel is the right place to be in Patong beach of you are up for the night life. Just a 2 minute walk from Bangla Road, this is the perfect location to make sure you get home fast at the end of the day. The back alley that takes you to the hostel has everything on it: tattoo shop, massage parlor, scooter rental, hair dress, 7-11 shop...all right there. There is a weed dispensary in the lobby...so what more can you ask for. The room was clean and there is AC that keeps the room cool over the day. Just keep in mind that this is in the middle of the city, so it s not for a relaxing stay. It s just a shielded space in the middle of the madness that Patong beach is. You get out...your right back in.

The location is very good. Around the corner from a family mart and just a 4 minute walk to Bangla road. The staff are friendly. The dorms are decent. The bunks have pull curtains which is nice.

Lockers could be bigger. Bathrooms get a bit musty and its annoyong to go in after someone has had a shower and the whole floor is always wet.

This place is in the middle of patong area, located in a calm street away from the loud clubs, and you only need 2 minutes to reach the famous Bangla road, Which was perfect for those who love to party or just get a good sleep! It’s tiny but cozy! The bathrooms are clean, since each room has its own bathroom, so basically we were only 6 ppl sharing the toilets! And everyday they were cleaning the room and changing the towels at 11-12 am which was perfect!

Very clean! Beds comfortable and sheets very soft. We had to walk all the way until the 4th floor, keep that in mind. We're young and fit, so we didn't mind. The shower doesn't have a curtain but that's all over Asia. The AC was strong! And we couldn't hear anything from the main party street, we were worried but it turned out to be the perfect spot

The WiFi didn't reach our room with the same speeds as in the ground floor

This place is a gem. It is about a five minute walk to Bangla road, and about 15 minutes to walk to the beach. The room is very clean, I would even call it spotless. For the price this place is definitely worth it. The bathroom is also very clean. And the ac works very well. We booked this place last minute, and were very happy.

Although it is a hostel, it is not very social. As we are traveling as a couple it's not a big deal, but may be harder if you are a solo traveller.

I didn't expect much so I wasn't disappointed. We got what we payed for. We booked the quadruple room which was on the top most floor. It wasn't too cramped but I wouldn't call it spacious either. The room was very clean. Basic but clean which is what we wanted. It even had a balcony which was nice to dry our swimsuits. The bathroom was extremely basic. Looks exactly like the picture. Clean and neat, I didn't get cringe vibes from the bathroom which was my biggest worry. The cleaning staff even came in to clean the room whenever we were out sightseeing and they'd keep fresh towels for us. It's so close to Bangla Road (5 mins walk) but far enough that its not noisy in the hotel. Super central and plenty of tuk tuk's waiting at the entrance of the street. Everything we needed was nearby, food markets, super markets, money exchange, 7/11, lots of shopping, Tops Food Hall. Its a 12 minute walk to the beach from the hotel but that didn't matter because Patong beach isn't the best anyway. 100% Value for money!! Rated it 9 out of 10 because honestly it was great for the price!

There's no staircase so we had to climb 3 floors with all our luggage. Also there was no electricity the day we reached (Power was out till 4 or 5 pm, because of which there was no water coming through the taps and shower ???? I don't know how that's even related but okay. They let us use the common bathroom on the ground floor to shower because that's the only one that had water so we bathed in the dark there. Apart from the first day's mishaps, it was actually a very decent hostel for the price. Also there isn't a full length mirror in the room..

I loved the comfort of the single room with private bathroom. The room was so clean and comfortable. The wifi was good and the location was great! My checkout was really late, and the property manager let me leave my baggage and even use the communal shower after. As you will know, you will definitely need up to 6 a day, which was super great right before heading to the airport. Also, it’s very close to the smart shuttle stop.

Can’t complain about anything!
