This hotel is exactly what I was looking for when I visited Istanbul, no frills, no fuss, just a very well located, comfortable, clean and friendly little hotel right in the heart of the shopping district. I experienced real life in Istanbul as the children and people came out to sit on the pavements to chat and drink coffee every evening, there are little eating places everywhere if you want to have real Turkish food and very nice restaurants just 50 meters away for more upmarket dining. You can walk everywhere and the Metro is an easy 5 minute walk away or you can hike up the hill to the Tram and the Grand Bazaar. You will walk a bit but this way you also experience the older side of Istanbul. It feels like a family is managing the hotel and they were so friendly and helpful every time I asked for anything they were falling over themselves to make my experience more comfortable. There is free tea the whole day! You just help yourself and the breakfast is great and can keep you going until long after lunch time. Yes they ask you to leave your room key when you leave every day but never once did I feel like they were going to let anything happen to my luggage or valuables, this is a long standing hotel and they will protect their guests property and their reputation to the bitter end. I have been all over the world staying with families and in 5 star properties. Red White Hotel is exactly what it advertises; a well located, safe and friendly place to rest after a long day of shopping or exploring. If you want the glitz and glamor of Istanbul then by all means budget for $100 or more per night. Thank you to management for your friendly and helpful attitude, we had to use Google translate but go there in the end! I really like this little hotel.

While this hotel is not located in the normal tourist area, there are two sit-outside dining precincts within five minutes in either direction, and the breakfast at the hotel sets you up for the day. The hotel itself is clean and well run, with the owner, Haken, being a friendly presence behind the reception desk. He went out of his way to provide public transport and other information that I was having trouble negotiating because of my language difficulties.

Good budget hotel. It was very quiet, my room was warm and cozy, cleaned and ventilated every day. The staff was friendly and helpful, although some people did not speak English. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. Location is good, there are street food stalls, supermarkets and also a good connection to center - just 20 minutes with public transport. For this price it is a very good hotel.

There were some slight inconveniences but I did not bother to ask the staff to fix them. I am sure they would help me.

I was able to enjoy more in this hotel because one of the main personnel there had a good command of the mother tongue and it was very interesting for me.

The clean, you should to advise the staff. They make the room daily, but not deeply. Variety in breakfast

Nothing to tell....

Comfortable bed and pillow, hot shower, friendly and cooperative staff.

Water leaking from under shower cabin, due to this the floor in the bathroom was wet always. TV set was too small. But, in general, everything was alright.

I Like owners behaviour

It was much difficult to find that hotel and I had my luggage with me taxi driver charged me One hundred Lira from Bus station and did not drop me in front of hotel. When I arrived there firstly owner denied to give me hotel but when I insisted he was ready to give me room.

It was a nice stay, very friendly and nice stuff and always helpful, really good deal for the price , recommend !

Clean good and help full staff i leave my airpods in room they call me to you left your airpods here all staff are very freindly and speak English awesome breakfast i will refer everyone to stay here
