- good location near public transport and 10 minutes from Taksim square - quiet street - great breakfast - friendly stuff - good balcony

- the room is much smaller than it's stated on Booking (it's definitely not 38m2) - we requested an extra bed for our son and extra bed was approved before we arrived, however we got child's crib which is much smaller. Because of this our son had to sleep with us - balcony door couldn't be closed and you need to lock them in order to close them. Even if you lock them, they are not soundproof and you can hear the wind coming through and the noise from the street - there is no sofa bed in the room as it's stated on Booking

Our stay at the Fox Hotel was truly exceptional. Communication with the professional and warm-hearted staff was efficient and smooth. Moreover, the presentation and selection of the breakfast provided were beyond expression.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Fox Hotels in Şişli Istanbul and I have to say it was an amazing experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel so welcomed and at home. I want to extend a big thank you to Büsra, Aygün, Emil, Anil, Mehmet, Leyla, and Marzieh for their exceptional service and hospitality throughout my stay. The hotel itself is absolutely chic, clean, and professional, with a modern design that made me feel right at home. I was impressed by the attention to detail and the level of care that went into everything from the decor to the amenities provided in the room. It's clear that the staff takes pride in maintaining a high standard of excellence. One of the best things about the Fox Hotels is its location. It's situated in a quiet area away from the noisy streets, yet still conveniently close to all the top tourist destinations. Literally nothing.

This is a small hotel a little off the beaten track about 15 minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of Taksim Square. The walk up to the main road is fine, not too steep or dark. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was enormous and served to you rather than buffet. Wifi is good. Members of staff are a great asset, they are friendly, kind and very helpful. I was aware that some guests were recovering from cosmetic surgery. I think this hotel would be ideal for this as guests are well cared for.

No English speaking TV channel (not that I could find!).

Room as booked with a nice big terrace and great view. Very clean, quiet with good AC. Incredible breakfast. Staff was excellent being attentive to needs and quickly provided information and resolving any minor concerns. Very close to Taksim Square (18 minute walk) and many eating establishments.

A bit of a distance from the mosque area in old town but public transportation were close by. Some people made a mountain out of a mole hill regarding the 1/2 block slope from the hotel to the Main Street. We did not find the slope a problem.

The hotel is so cozy and cute very clean the staff are just I can’t describe how helpful they are and they keep helping us in everything the hotel room is perfect for families the breakfast is so delicious Emilio , Max , Negm El Deen Are amazing and the hotel manager is amazing bushra so welcoming keep asking us if anything is missing if all is good. Seriously it’s like Home ❤️

I had a car rent so maybe the only thing will be that would be good if they have a parking . And a smart tv in the room ,

Absolutely amazing stay at the Fox Hotel. You can’t get a better location at this price. Close to taksim square. Close to metro. Tons of restaurants, brands close by in istiklal street. The staff are soo friendly. We stayed at a different hotel that I won’t name earlier and the staff there were so arrogant. But these guys are so nice. Very accommodating. Breakfast is amazing. Served at the table. Tons of things, including your choice of egg/omelette. Free coffee/tea at the lobby whenever you want. Will definitely be choosing the same hotel next time.

Honestly, there was nothing to not like. Everything was Amazing.

The 3 staff members we met, namely Emil, Serdar and Maryam were exceptionally good in what did to run the place. They were very helpful in their field of work. Guided us when we encountered uncertainty. We nicked Serdar busy bee during breakfast. Running around serving impatient guests with a smile. If I visit this hotel again,, these 3 individual will be my reason to do so. Whatever I have stated here, it still doesn't justify the high bar they have set for themselves.

The natural gradient of the location. Very steep in places.

I picked the property because of favorable review on Booking.com and must admit I was not disappointed. Located on a curvey and steep-gradient street (which is so typical of Istanbul), the hotel boasts a very central location in a close proximity to Taksim square and Istanbul Convention Center. Still, you can enjoy undisturbed night sleep and a level of comfort quite different from one's expectations of golden ceilings and ottoman-style beds. The interior of my guest room precisely match photos, and while relatively small, the room had everyting one needs for a comfortable stay, even a kitchenette with a sink and running water of decent quality. The king bed was comfy to sleep, with 2 lamps on bedstands perfect to read, a couch - good to sit and relax; a small desk- to work in the daytime (only). The bathroom was spacious enough to feature a good-qiality shower cabin with a great (hot) water pressure. Having a fridge in the room was a huge plus. The 7-storey building has a brand new lift which is big enough for 4-5 pax, and the wiating time is not that long, as there are 5-6 rooms on each floor. As well, the ground-floor lobby with a fireplace and quite lounge music and an infinite free supply of coffee/tea 24/7 cannot be underestimated. It is also the breakfast spot, and breakfast is served promptly and all the food is fresh and abundant. Having special dietary restrictions, I was really grateful to the team for taking an extra effort to meet them. That said, the best feature of the hotel is its staff. Managed by a very young and extremely competent, vigilant and entusiastic team speaking abunch of languages, including English, Arabic, Azerbajijani, Russian (and probably more others which I could not discern), the hotel provides unique ambience. Many thanks to Necmettin, Meriem, Emil, and the whole team for their smiles, readiness to assist in any matter and excellence in hospitality and caretaking.

The room is in need for more conveniently located sockets. An extra card for the slot to activate electricity would be great to have, as the fridge is off once one leaves the room and takes the room key card out of the room. The bathroom is in dire need for an extra shelf - even as a male, I found it impossible to put my necessities in the bathroom, so ladies will find it really challenging. Also a nicely looking decorative throw on my bed sported a couple of holes, which does not take long to mend, I am sure. And because of the city's outdated sewage system be ready to throw toilet paper in the dedicated bin....c'est la vie...
