Everything was perfect - from the amazingly welcoming and knowledgable owner and staff to the refined decoration and the beautiful views into the pigeon valley. A very rare place with a soul, a home away from home with some very comfortable suites perfectly fitted for couples or families. Delicious breakfast with some daily variations. One of the best boutique hotels we have ever stayed in.

We booked the family suite for 2 adults and 3 girls between 7-14 years old. Best accommodation in turkey through the week. The room was extremely spacious, lovely and the breakfast was a really nice personable touch. In the early morning, the open terraces gives a great paranomic view of the balloons against the landscape as its backdrop. Perfect spot to catch the sunrise. The hosts are a lovely couple who will be there in the morning to make sure everything is gone well at the dining area. We were also given some really nice tasting Turkish delight as parting gift. Thanks Kistar for making it such a special stay

The floor heating in the three bedder room couldn’t be adjusted so it was slightly warm at night. Otherwise eveything else was perfect

Kistar is a beautiful cave hotel in the heart of Uchisar which is a little away from hustle and bustle of Gerome. We loved the view of Pigeon valley from our terrace and rooms were very spacious for our family. Breakfast was great with a wonderful view. Owner and staff were very helpful for our special needs and helped us resolve few issues when language was a barrier.

There was nothing that we did not like at Kistar, starting from location to breakfast to our room - everything was just perfect. They can add some more light in the rooms if possible.

The People. Our stay at Kistar Cave Hotel was simply perfect. The hotel's welcoming and helpful staff made us feel right at home, and the beauty of the hotel added to the overall charm. Our kids particularly loved this hotel because of the caring and loving people who made their experience truly special. We want to give a special thanks to Sule, who was always there to assist us from the beginning to the end of our stay. Their kindness and helpfulness made our experience even more enjoyable, especially for our children. The Food. The breakfast at Kistar Cave Hotel was delicious, with a Turkish breakfast spread and a different continental option each morning, such as pancakes and French toast. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, offering a great view. Overall, our time at Kistar Cave Hotel was exceptional. The combination of friendly staff, beautiful surroundings, and cozy rooms made it a true home away from home. Our kids loved this hotel so much because of the caring and loving people who made their stay unforgettable. We highly recommend this hotel for an extraordinary family experience.

Very charming hotel. Lovely view, fun to be in a 'cave' room. very good shower with excellent pressure. Helpful staff, they helped with directions and booked our shuttle to the airport. Great breakfast.

The room was down a lot of stairs which was fine going down, not so good coming up. We felt as though the room was a bit far from the center of the hotel. The room was very dark and very hot at night, it would be improved with a bit more ventilation (one tiny window was not enough), and perhaps some better lighting.

We liked the spaciousness and cleanliness of the room. Loved the balcony and the view, especially the sunrise over the distant volcano and watching the balloon ascension at dawn. The breakfast was gorgeous, abundant and delicious. I miss the homemade yogurt and all of the homemade jams and jellies. The proprietors were friendly and polite as were the staff. We enjoyed our stay and will recommend the hotel. There are a number of restaurants and shops within walking distance and it is nice being away from the crazy tourist hub of Goreme.

We were awakened each morning by the mosque call and the dogs barking and howling to accompany the mosque call. There are many stray dogs in the area .. very nice friendly dogs but they set to howling with the 4am mosque call. Also some cats were fighting in the garden below in the middle of the night. The WIFI speed was decent but sometimes not strong enough to use the VPN which I must use for work.

I would give this property a 20 out of 10 if I could ! From the moment we walked in the staff were genuinely welcoming and helpful.The room was gorgeous with spectacular views from the private terrace and after a cold day outside the heated floors and towel rails made the room so cosy and welcoming .The breakfast was outstanding with homemade yoghurt, juices and jams.Add calming classical music ,very tasteful decor and smiling and attentive cook who couldn’t do enough for us . But is was the genuine generosity and warmth of the staff that stood out .One evening the owner knocked on our door with a plate of fruit and the best dates I have ever tasted …just to be nice . The location is very good .It’s a quiet location overlooking pigeon valley which is a pleasant walk .There are always taxis nearby and you can get to anywhere you want for a few dollars .We were given a recommendation for the Centre Restaurant which has excellent food and is only a very short walk from the hotel . They organised a Taxi to the airport which was appreciated .They never once tried to sell us other tours like some hotels do ,but would organise things if you asked I would not hesitate to recommend the Kistar Cave Hotel to anyone lucky enough to visit Cappadocia in

This place is Gold! It is the perfect balance between modern comfort and cave living. The tranquility setting of the hotel and it’s ambience was the best way to unwind after a day of exploring beautiful Cappadocia. The owner, Mr Mehmet, has put his heart into Kistar Cave and it feels like a home away from home. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is a stones throw away from restaurants, banks and tourist attractions. Breakfast served was a great start to the day.

There’s nothing to complain about! It would be lovely if a swimming pool was available to cool down in after a hot day’s exploring.

The breakfast served at the hotel was a highlight of my stay. The spread was lavish, with a variety of fresh, local ingredients, and everything was delicious. Sipping coffee while watching the balloons float over the landscape was a memory I'll cherish forever.

best location, good for families and couples, right next to Uchisar center and uchisar is the best place to stay when visiting Capadoccia. Very well kept property, very clean and chic cave hotel, amazing views, very good breakfast and service. the best thing is the owner Mehmet and his team. they go out of their way to make your stay a memorable and comfortable one. They helped me setup everything i needed and all the activities. Balloon ride, Zelve light show, Surihan dervish show. they didn’t up charge on any activity and just connected me with the companies who were providing these services. Mehmet is a very warm and loving host who will help you as a family member and not as a businessman. we loved our stay here and would always stay here when visiting goreme and capadoccia
