Our stay at ibis London Barking was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and exceptional service from the entire staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. A special shoutout goes to Victoria, who was the star of the team! Her radiant smile and super customer-friendly approach made us feel instantly at home. She was incredibly helpful, and her genuine care stood out, adding a personal touch to our experience. The buffet was another highlight—packed with delicious options that set us up perfectly for the day ahead. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and ideal for a relaxing stay. What made our visit even better was the excellent public transport connectivity. Getting to central London and other key locations was super convenient, making it easy to explore the city without any hassle. Overall, the service was absolutely top-notch, and the staff’s dedication to making guests feel special was unmatched. If you’re planning a trip to London, ibis London Barking is a brilliant choice. Allocated a quiet room on a high floor as a light sleeper to minimise noise disturbance. Very clean and tidy and all the staff I encountered were very polite and friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the room was well furnished for an overnight stay. I actually thought it was good value for money compared to staying in London!

I found it difficult to find in-room information about the restaurant i.e. menu choices. Quite a small restaurant area which I didn't end up eating in as the reviews I had read were not favourable regarding quality of food.

Good value for money with the hotel at a decent standard. Room was clean and comfortable, facilities were good and staff were friendly and helpful.

I didnt really notice before booking but its situated towards the edge of Barking and so to get there by public transport would have required quite a walk from the tube which at night would be very dark, isolated and potentially dangerous. We ended up getting Ubers to the hotel from central London as a result and so the saving of staying in Barking was cancelled by the cost of the taxis! Also confusing is that there is another IBIS very close by which is called IBIS Budget, but which is actually a separate hotel - I ended up getting a taxi to the wrong one initially!

Staff is very professional and friendly. Also, they have always shown me room to accommodate my poor mobility and healthy issue..this time a need extra pillows for my back and ice pack to be frozen on the hotel fridge. The smoke of cigarette that same guest decided to have in room went until the corridor. But staff promptly deal with that

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice room and comfy bed. Ample parking space. I paid £8 overnight and this was still valid till the next day - make sure to key in your vehicle registration number as to be issued a permit at the check in desk. The Barking Train Station is 15 minutes walk away from the station. I enjoyed this as one of the main routes included walking past Barking Market. There you will find lots of quality products and a rich vibrant cultural atmosphere. Good value breakfast.

I did not like the fact that the eating/dining area was close to reception/check in desks.

Lovely room, comfy bed, capsule bathroom but nice and noise cancelling effect very good! Ample parking and it felt secure even as a lone female. Good check-out time. Staff were very helpful and courteous.Although it was a very busy weekend for London in general with a match at Wembley and a Beyonce concert taking place, the hotel itself was calm and quiet.

Check-in time could be earlier although you have the option to pay extra to do so. There's a small ironing room for all hotel users instead of having an iron and ironing board in each room. I would have preferred not to have to leave my room to iron stuff but I access and use of one of the 2 boards was always possible. Slightly over priced for a one night stay in that area but it was necessary.

smoothe check in process, amazing staff. i was a little worired the hotel would have a lot of noise being on the A13/A406 one of the two but there was no noise in the rooms. We booked late and had no issues. easy to get to

The only one con i think i found was having to pay for parking. Considering the hotel has a car park and no where else to park and nothing near by it should be free for guests to use.

Room was ok and clean. Also the personal working there.

Tables in the restaurant for breakfast were always dirty. The personal didn't clean them after every people sitting by the table, so it was dirty and sticky. It seemed like nobody cleaned them after breakfast either. This equals to plates, glasses for drinking as well. Pretty dirty almost always. Wifi was very weak on the 3rd floor, didn't work well.

The hotel was very clean and the staff extremely pleasant and efficient. We had a minor problem with the sink in the bathroom and the staff transferred us immediately to another room. Very well handled

The breakfast was abysmal. A charge of £12 per person was acceptable if the breakfast was good. Buffet style but the sausages were so over cooked you could mail your shoe to the wall with them. The “tinned tomatoes” and the sliced mushrooms were cold and the scrambled egg was dry and crusty on top (no other eggs available). Need a good chef and have a better warming system (covers on dishes would help)

The hotel is not far from the metro and train station, about 10-15 min walk, and your there are two links of metro there, so you can get everywhere you need, it'll just take some time, about 30-50 min, depends from the destination. The room was cleaned every day, and towels were changed every day. Staff was very friendly and ready to help.

There wasn't a lot of space in the room with additional bed, so it was hard to reach the table or wardrobe, but it was manageable.
