Sincerely, this is not the Ritz. But it’s better! A small, family run hotel where the hosts do their outmost to accommodate you. That attitude dwarfs the small - but IMMACULATELY clean rooms, and the steep staircase really is a very minor thing. I especially appreciate how the hosts went out of their way to prepare me a lovely breakfast before I had to dash off to work. Even if this was almost 2 hours before the scheduled breakfast time! Plus, they were really very kind to also do my laundry! The hotel is situated just a couple of blocks from the city centre yet in a quiet area. Finally, it’s also very reasonably priced so this is a great place to stay!

What an amazing find this place was. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. All 4 of them went above and beyond to help. The bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get out of it. But make sure you do as the breakfast is well worth getting up for. Anything on the very large breakfast menu, cooked to order, and unlimited tea, coffee juices, toast and cereal. The bar was extremely good value. There's a kettle, and as much tea coffee, and milk, as you need. It's about 5 minute walk to Coral Island, 7 to the Tower, and 8 to Winter Gardens. We arrived on the Friday, for the football on the Saturday, but unfortunately the football was called of at dinner time Saturday. I've already told the owners, I can't wait to go back for the rearranged fixture.

The actual area on arrival doesn't look the most inviting with lots of derelict buildings. But don't let that deter you from this little gem. The shower was a little small for someone like me, whose on the large side, but I was offered a change of rooms but declined as I could get in and out

Absolutely everything was perfect for us. The staff (André & Julie) were brilliant. They couldn't do enough for us. The breakfasts were amazing and we even had an evening meal with them on our last night. We had such a good time, we stayed an extra night and we'll be back at least twice in 2025. The Charnley Gold Hotel is a hidden gem. Anyone looking for somewhere to stay on a short break in Blackpool should DEFINITELY stay here. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Love this hotel. Julie and Andre were such good hosts. The room was clean and it had a lick of paint too since the previous management. Breakfast was cooked to order and the scrambled eggs were the best I’ve had in Blackpool. Seasoned and hot. Baked beans were hot too. The bar was really good value for money. Excellent location for the lights and Funny Girls. Brilliant weekend thanks and we will be back in May.

Very friendly welcome, clean room, best breakfast ever, it was so delicious and set us up for the day. Plenty choices and eggs were cooked perfectly. Loved the special recipe scrambled ones! It's l ocated in the centre close to shops, takeaways and attractions. Excellent value for money . Couldn't fault it at all and highly recommend .

The reception and overall hospitality was great! Great hosts and nothing was ever a problem, always willing to help. You also get what you pay for, so don't expect the Ritz. The room was clean and the bed was comfy.

There wasn't anything I disliked about the hotel. The owners explained to me at check-in that some of the rooms were on the top floor and the only access was via the stairs. Not really an option if you can't climb stairs, because there are quite a few!

Julie and Andre made us so welcome,what a gem in Blackpool. Had a very reasonably priced bar. And don't start me off about the breakfast,it was fantastic😀fried bread stunning, scrambled eggs the best ever 😀 can't complain about this lovely little hotel at all👍 we've already booked to come back in January.

Handy for central Blackpool, easy walk to most attractions, on a quiet road. Room adequate for a solo traveller Breakfast is very good, cooked to choice.

No complaints, just a standard Blackpool hotel. I'm not keen on the fluorescent main light, but the bedside lamp was adequate Steps might be a problem for the higher floors

Our stay was really good. The room was spacious as we had a family room. The ensuite was small but functional. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic. The staff were really friendly and made us really welcome. They even managed to sort out a parking space for 2 nights.
