I booked a one night stay at Richard's House for my boyfriend and his cousin who are cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats. The boys said that Richard was incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially as they arrived soaking wet from cycling in the rain all day and were desperate for a hot shower! Richard went the extra mile to help them out and kindly agreed to store their bikes in his garden overnight. Richard's house is a very cosy and comfortable place to stay. An honourable mention goes to Pumpkin, Richard's lovely cat!

Friendly reception. Amenities for use are full kitchen, dining table, bathroom, bath or shower, lounge, back spacious garden, bedroom with towels n teatray. Plenty of wardrobe space and drawers. Bed very comfy. Extra bedding, towels etc were available but not needed. Lock on bedroom door. Downstairs extra loo. Parked at rear following good directions. Pumpkin pusscat friendly n did tricks! Richard very informative.
No TV for sole use BUT free WiFi all thru house giving access to tv progs etc thru laptop/tablet/mobile phone.

We loved every minute of our stay. The owner is extremely nice and welcoming. He taught us a lot of interesting facts about Cornwall and the haunted Bodmin Jail close by. The room was clean, comfy and very cozy. It had a bed, a large wardrobe, extra pillows, a hairdryer, a whole collection of tea or coffee, a mini fridge and a few personal, thoughtful and beautiful small gifts! Pumpkin the cute black cat was another great highlight there with a lot of personality.

Richard is a true gentleman and a top level host! He picked us up from Bodmin station and after a small tour around the town he welcomed us to his home. The house was very clean and cozy, the room was spacious and with all the amenities needed + some souvenirs for his guests! We highly recommend staying at his house, you won’t regret it.
