Had the most amazing weekend staying at hotel Collingwood with my mum. Beautifully decorated rooms which feel cosy and clean with everything we needed. We sat in the lovely hotel bar which has board & card games, a great selection of drinks and a pool table. It’s Close to the beach and park where the Christmas market and the spectacular Christmas tree trail is which is where we spent our entire day, however after getting in the festive spirit a little to much we got lost on our way back and had to ring the hotel to find out how to get back 🫣 The lovely James went out of his way and saved the day by finding us and bringing us back to the hotel. Great hotel perfectly situated lots to do we didn’t use the pool as had no time, can’t wait to return!

Steps from the car park at the back of hotel were a little tricky. But using the front door was great.

Room was very good modern facilities all presented nicely and was clean. They also have ev charging points in their lower car park which was excellent for me driving an electric car.

The only problem we had were the extra charges I had taken from my bank account we took our dog with us which wasn't a problem for the hotel but we were charged an extra 15 pounds for him then there was a 10 pound charge for parking maybe I missed that when I booked the room but it should be made clearer for people to understand.

Hotel is fresh and modern, rooms were everything you'd expect, very clean. Facilities were good for an able-bodied guest. Breakfasts were great, though some hot drinks and food require a supplement payment.

Unfortunately, the rooms were very hot and no air con is in the rooms so probably not likely to revisit here in the summer months. Facilities were good for an able-bodied guest but could be better for a disabled guest, we had a wheelchair user in our group, we were informed ahead of booking rooms were not accessible but was advised the room would be large enough to fit in the wheelchair and the user would be able to get around. This was not the case and the guest had to change from their originally assigned room, the substitute room was larger however, the rooms would still benefit from accessibility modifications.

All staff were exceptional and really lovely to speak to (reception through to maintenance and housekeeping) hotel was in a great location and super clean. Our room was absolutely gorgeous and really spacious (even with a sofa bed made up)- this doesn't happen often when booking dog friendly accomodation. Breakfast was great, as was our bar meal and cocktails. We also had a delicious afternoon tea. The pool, sauna was fantastic. I'm only gutted I didn't book a spa treatment! We did have a few minor maintenance issues in the room but were in the process of being fixed when we came back one afternoon- I was impressed. A perfect base for exploring Bournemouth!

Ideal location for the Bournemouth International Centre & beach. The ability to have a swim & visit the spa was an added bonus as was the restaurant.

I had a single room which was adequate but it was under the stairs so quite of foot traffic overhead. My card details were taken on checking in; I was told this was in case I had a party - I really would have struggled to get more than 2 other people in the room! I was not advised that my card details would not be held on file once my stay had finished or whether anyone would advise if my card would be debited - the kettle in my room broke on the morning of checking out but thankfully I was not charged.

It was room only staff were brilliant helpful pleasant and made us feel very welcome

I booked 3 rooms all the same deluxe double with extra large bed and rooms should have been about 18sq metres 2 were perfect exactly what I had booked The 3rd was a big disappoint it was very small and just had a standard double bed we were CHARGED for a deluxe but were given a cosy double bedroom so I feel that a refund on the one room should have been offered the room number was 101 we were told it was a signature room but as the hotel says all their rooms are signature it doesn’t matter as we paid for a deluxe double and received a cosy double so one couple of our group were disappointed that they paid extra for an inferior room

We have been to Bournemouth many times, wish we had stayed here before! It was a perfect location & great price as had breakfast included. We arrived early, no problem, room was ready. Paid £10 for parking until 12 the next day. The room had already been upgraded to a family room which i thought was going to be massive but it wasn't, was no problem for us as only 2 of us & weren't in it much! There is a pool & sauna & jacuzzi downstairs which we used (a towel is supplied). They have discounted drinks 8-10pm each night & a games room with Fuzball, poo & tabletennis which we enjoyed! The breakfast was really good, nice produce & cooked well, delivered on a hot place, cereals & bread & condiments for toast, juice & coffees (& pots of tea if wanted) Staff were friendly, everywhere was clean & we had a really lovely night away thanks!

I don't have anything to say here really, i did want to stay a bit longer but we were told parking is only until 12, never mind. The room was boiling but no sign of the heating being on & the one window only opened a few inches, again never mind!

We were extremely pleased with the room. It was very spacious and well decorated. It had probably been recently updated. The big bathroom was modern and very clean. There was plenty of storage for our things. I loved the cute little baskets. There was also a nice seating area and a big wall mounted tv. The only negative was that only a few biscuits were provided with the drink sachets. The breakfast was very good . I had the full English twice and I also tried Poached eggs on toast and porridge, There was also all the usual cereals yoghurts and fruit salad etc you could have beforehand. The breakfast area was nicely decorated as were all the communal areas. We also had no problems parking which is important to us when we come back from a day out. The hotel is in easy walking distance of the seafront and eateries in Bournemouth. We also got the bus to Poole so we could walk down to the harbour and catch the ferry to Brownsea Island. We finally got to see a red squirrel at long last. We haven’t been that lucky in other places like Scotland. I was so happy. There is a lot to see and do in the area and unfortunately didn’t have time to visit Corfe castle. We really loved RSPB Arne and would like to go back there to have another attempt at seeing a sea eagle.

Can’t think of any negatives. Even the weather was really warm and sunny.

The hotel is clean, good location and staff who tried their best to help esp as it was fully booked. Was there for a few days during a heatwave. Having the swimming pool on site and the little courtyard was a godsend when the kids felt overwhelmed by a busy and noisy beach Having option of a bar / restaurant onsite was also helpful when we were too hot & tired to go find a meal or wanted a snack. They take food allergies seriously which is really reassuring, esp as my son is anaphylactic. Thank you.

1. Shower/Bathroom fan didn't work and with no windows there after every shower the room turned into a steam room / felt like a sauna. Reported 2-3 times but nothing was fixed / no updates 2. No mini fridge in room. Was told they were going to try locate one for us after guests had checked out but no news. This would have been handy to keep some milk for the kids 3. The sofa bed for the teenager was rather uncomfortable - she couldn't wait to get back to her own bed. We had a fan at least to help during the heatwave, but no AC. Most of the time / winter time should be ok. 4. soundproofing could be improved - we could hear the routine of the family above us everyday.

Location. Although no sea view the property was within walking distance to the town centre, restaurants etc. It was clean, staff were friendly and there was a good breakfast. Easy parking although as we did not book direct we had to pay for it. Had we booked direct with the hotel apparently this would not have been the case. (On maps it shows free parking) We had booked a superior room which was well equipped and our request of a quiet room high up was arranged.

We were glad we had booked a superior room although it smelled very musty on arrival, and you had to sit sideways on the toilet as the basin was in the way. I think a standard room would have been small. It seemed expensive. We had mentioned it was our wedding anniversary but no reference was made whereas the restaurant we went to did and other hotels have done in the past. Personal touches do make a difference.
