Michael was super friendly and attentive on arrival, something I have sadly got used to not having in the UK hospitality industry. He was knowledgable and happy to share information about the area while also allowing us the space to enjoy our meal & stay. They are super dog friendly and there is always a treat for a good boy. The room was so comfortable, bedding was super soft and cool which was well appreciated in July. It was easy to find, easy to communicate any changes to our arrangements, ample parking and a really tasty meal.

As there was no mirror in the bedroom, let alone a floor length one, I would have then appreciated the bathroom mirror being mist-free so getting make up on after showers wasn’t the easiest task. The floor was creaky as expected from such a lovely old building and while this didn’t bother us and we didn’t hear any neighbours, I cannot say the same for a light sleeper or anyone staying below us. I would also recommend they update their menus online, cocktail prices have gone up by 50% and food menu has changed drastically.

The staff were lovely and were very accommodating throughout our stay, even placing a basket of toiletries in themain ladies bathroom which we felt was a lovely little touch. The room was small but well presented, comfortable and the bathroom was a huge plus point with a stunning bath and lovely toiletries!! Would definitely stay here again.

There was an issue on our second morning and the chef was late getting in to the hotel, as a result, we waited an hour and 15 minutes for breakfast which wasn't then as we had ordered so we were very disappointed with the breakfast this morning and barely had anything to eat and we were only offered one coffee during that time. The restaurant wasn't busy so no excuse really. We felt this let things down overall.

Excellent value for money: the room was cosy and well appointed, the bathroom was fabulous (although the limited ceiling height meant it had a bath with a shower head, rather than a stand up shower), and the breakfast was outstanding and far exceeded our expectations given the cost of our stay. The busy bar was very atmospheric, with a friendly mix of locals and visitors, and dinner in the restaurant was also excellent (our steaks were cooked to perfection!). Staff were lovely throughout and we would highly recommend Cardross Inn for both dinner and an overnight stay.

Large bundles of laundry on the stairs outside our room were a trip hazard. The bathroom door was difficult to close from the bedroom, and wasn't in keeping with the excellent quality of the bathroom fittings.

Our entire experience at Cardross Inn was brilliant. We chose this quiet spot for our last night in Scotland before heading home to Australia. It was 25 minutes from the airport (rental car drop off in Paisley). From the moment we arrived until we left, we could not have been more welcome. The receptionist was cheerful, and showed us to our rooms, small, but very modern, exceptionally clean, and well equipped. We went downstairs to have a drink, and walked into the bar next to the restaurant, there were 10+ locals having a drink, and they welcomed us like long lost friends. The food in the restaurant was fresh, huge portions, and served with the biggest smiles. The manager even came and said hello whilst we ate. The best food we ate in Scotland.

Absolutely nothing...

This was our first stay after arriving in Scotland. The staff was so welcoming, friendly, and hospitable! I can't remember her name, but one young lady took the time to write down numerous suggestions of places to see on the various stops of our trip. One of those suggestions was visiting the Cairngorm Reindeer Herd and we're so grateful to have taken her advice on this one!!! The breakfasts were delicious, generous, and they made sure, as vegetarians, we had options. The rooms were quiet, the bed was comfortable, sheets incredibly soft, and we slept deeply, which was exactly what we needed with our schedule. Thank you, Cardross!

It was a nice place to stop over on our way back from Scottish Highlands. The room was nicely decorated and clean. Breakfast was superb! Staff very friendly and helpful. I'd stop here again. The accommodation also has relatively private access from the rest of the pub which is great. Nice bath too.

The bed size was smaller than expected and the access to the other side was silly narrow. I would rather have a bigger bed accessed from one side only rather than smaller with narrow access on both. Or maybe bed placed differently in the room. Shower use in the bath under the sloping ceiling is limited for a tall person too - great for bath lovers and not so great for quick showers. But these are minor personal preferences.

Super friendly staff. Very nice of them to come personally knock on our door to take last orders so that we don't go hungry especially with young kids! Good location and distance from the national park. The family room was spacious and clean. Clean bathroom with a modern look. Breakfast was nice being vegetarian and not consuimg eggs in our diet....vegan haggis was a treat!

The towel rail heater in the bathroom was not connected so no heating and would feel bit cold in there considering it was not exactly that warm at the time.

The hotel was a convenientstop to break up our travels. There was plenty of parking on site and a separate door to load your luggage into the rooms. Breakfast was very nice, with plenty of choice and all well cooked. The check in staff were nice and helpful given they also had plenty to do in the pub.

The room was a bit small, even with the bed arranged next to the wall on one side. But this wasn't a problem for us during our short stay. Dinner at the pub downstairs was just okay but dessert made up for it.

Room was comfortable and clean. Shower was modern and bathroom good sized. Parking is available and it makes a difference. Golf course in front of windows. We had fabulous dinner and great breakfast. Staff runs the premises impeccably and keep a constant eye on customer’s needs. Would have tied the pub hadn’t we felt too tired: I bet it’s great too. Thanks for make us feel welcomed.

We liked everything

Location . Room ,although small was very tidy and ensuite modern. Breakfast was excellent, meal the night before tasty but not warm enough. Accepted it even after the girl serving offered to take it back.So can't complain.

The bed. Somewhere between a single and a double. Mattress was too soft and if you went too near the edge fell out as the Mattress just disappeared from under you. This in turn made a very restless night. The breakfast made up for it.
