Lovely welcome from Lizzie, good breakfast. Location is very quiet, comfortable room and clean bathroom with lovely products.

Roads around the property are rural and very dark at night. Parking is not onsite so there is a short walk from where the car is parked to the house and this is dark too. Lizzie provided a torch on the keyring which helped but if you are a little scared of dark areas late at night, and/or you have some mobility issues, you may feel a little anxious when walking from the car to the house. I wasn't fully aware during the booking process that the private bathroom for the room I was allocated was across the corridor rather than en-suite. Lizzie provided a bathrobe to use which I appreciated but I would have preferred an en-suite room with everything contained.

It was easy to find, local to where we were visiting and family run. I have mobility issues but as all bedrooms were on the first floor they were accessible. The owner gave us a fantastic warm welcome and was really caring. The bed was so comfortable as were the pillows and bedding. Lovely products to use in the bathroom which we were not expecting. Great range for breakfast, cooked breakfast cooked to order and was lovely. The property is dog friendly which is great as we have a little pooch, we will definitely be back

My only grumble was there was no decaf coffee sachets in the room, however as I always carry some it wasn’t a problem. There was decaf at breakfast.

The B&B was very well located for an overnight stop on our South Downs Way walk (short bus ride to pick up the path.) The en suite room was comfortable with a bath and shower. Lizzie is a lovely host who made us feel so welcome and provided us with a delicious hearty breakfast to fuel us up for our next days walking. The popular village pub serves good food in the evening (worth booking in advance) and being located in an international dark skies area the stars are stunning if you’re lucky enough as we were to have a cloudless night. Lizzie provided us with a little torch for our short walk to the pub. So lovely to be in a village without street lights after living in the constant glare of London.

Perfect and peaceful location for our visits to West Dean Gardens, Bosham, Chichester and the Weald and Downland Museum. Good pub in the village and a great short walk on a permissive path to the village of Singleton and it's excellent pub The Partridge. Lizzie was very friendly and provided useful local information.

We had two cars and one had to be parked at the entrance to Charlton Mill Way. This didn't really cause an issue as it's not a busy location but this was not appreciated when we booked.

Hostess Lizzie communicated very well and was adaptable to my changing arrival time. She was very friendly and welcoming, offering me alternative food/drink when it was clear I was leaving too early for breakfast. The facilities within the room were as needed, and the bed was extremely comfortable - I normally suffer a bad back but had a lovely rest in the bed.

Everything was lovely

Nearly everything was excellent - the hostess, the room, the location etc. Also it was great to be able to walk across a field and down a track to the local pub (which was excellent) instead of taking the car or walking on the road.

Unfortunately we could only book the room that did not have an en suite bathroom, however it was just across the corridor. Also we did have a problem with noise from the neighbouring bedroom after midnight, which we believe was from the television, which was situated on the other side of our bedroom wall.

Absolutely perfect location for our weekend at Goodwood races. 5 mins drive to the course and 5 min walk from a lovely pub to have dinner at after racing. The rooms were very comfortable with everything we could need. Our host was lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was delicious and we will definitely be back next year!

Such a beautiful place and the extremely friendly and helpful Lizzie, we left bags early as we were going to a wedding and arrived back late! There was even a very helpful torch on our key ring to help us find our way back! No problem with us getting back so late and a cracking breakfast to revive us the next day! Many thanks!

Nothing! Leaving?

Lizzie was a wonderful, helpful, attentive host. My daughter and I went to the season finale of Goodwood racing. We drove our car up to the Racecourse and left it there overnight and Lizzie very kindly drove us up there in the morning to pick it up to save us walking up the hill. Would definitely reccomend!

Nothing to dislike!
