Hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. Love the stone walls and hotel reception is lovely. There’s a beautiful conservatory at the front which I wish we had the pleasure of sitting in but the main restaurant and bar lounge were just as nice. Room was nice, bathroom was gorgeous.

The bed was very uncomfortable in my opinion. It’s surrounded by a wooden frame which one of my party had smacked her knee off of. The pillows were as hard as concrete however I understand that’s down to preference. The Mini bar was full of different drinks and there was a basket of mixed snacks but as per picture, the prices were absolutely diabolical. No way should a packet of malteasers be nearly £4.00!

Very Good Hotel Restaurant just 2 things really the Bed sides shouldn't be There and if im being Honest was Comfortable but not that Brilliant and as for the Staging in front of the Bed think this is a silly idea got up to go to the Toilet and Hit my Foot on it getting back to the Bed very silly idea in my opinion and the Heat kept going on and off during the Night one minute room was Cold next for an Hr or so Warm should be on all the time at lowish setting once it went off you couldn't get it back on suppose it was on a timer and only other thing 1 chair for 2 people ... Staff were Fantastic Food and Drink Fantastic just a little over priced for the Room just being Honest but all in all Good should aim for Fantastic lol

Staff FANTASTIC ... Food Really Good .. Room Ok bit over priced in my opinion That wood Staging in front of the Bed Very Silly idea could result in a Claim if someone was to really hurt themselves in kicking it by mistake very painful it was on my Toe...

The staff were all pleasant, professional and welcoming. The hotel conservatory is very bright and well presented. The inside seating is large, comfortable and we very much enjoyed watching the golf on Sky Tv from the cubicles with the table side tv’s. Breakfast was large and enjoyable but would suggest removing the luke warm Tea and Coffee flasks, and just present freshly made hot drinks.

The reception staff were not always present at the reception desk, which usually meant hanging around waiting for them to appear. I would suggest having a bell or a motion sensor to alert staff guest are awaiting in the reception area. The bed (Room 15) does not need a wooden frame overhanging the mattress. This only takes up room around the bed, and eliminates banging your legs getting in and out of the bed.

Very pleasant ambience and staff were lovely.

Sitting in bar around 11-30 and because I don’t drink alcohol or juice I asked for a tea or coffee which I was refused as machine had been cleaned ??? Disappointing as I was purchasing my round of drinks for my company. I am great believer that we should cater for non drinker too. On arriving for breakfast we were given individual teapot at table. From good customer service point why couldn’t that happen night before.

Location and food were really good and staff were lovely.

The jet bath we had in room some of the jets were broken and water was cold for the bath a bit of disappointment really as my mrs told me to get that room. The reason for getting room was my mrs has arthritis in knees and hasn’t had a bath for over a year and was so excited about the low jet bath.

The breakfast was amazing and the staff were excellent. The Duty Manager was top class and made us feel very special with his personal touch. His name is BILL HULME and he deserves a pat on the back from his boss. Because of his service and the rest of the friendly staff we will be back to this hotel and recommend it to our friends and relatives

THE SHOWER TAPS WERE VERY COMPLICATED TO ADJUST. THE PHONE DID NOT WORK MY WIFE THOUGHT THE BED WAS HARD THE SOAP DISPENSER IN THE TOILET WOULD NOT DISPENSE

It’s a beautiful looking property. Very nicely decorated. The breakfast was lovely. Nice to learn about the hotel history although they are in South Lanarkshire and not north as their room guide suggests

The frame around the bed stuck out so was a bit of a hazard. Also made the bed uncomfortable to just sit on. Room a bit on the small side.

We had the cooked full Scottish breakfast which was both ample and very nice and freshly cooked. The room was lovely and also very clean. The staff were lovely and very professional from start to finish, they did their best to make our stay comfortable.

The room was duller than we would have liked and only one electric socket. The continental breakfast was limited and the tea and coffee was from a shared pot which went cold very quickly.

Beautiful little hotel. Staff always very polite and helpful. Had a really lovely atmosphere. Food excellent

The bar in the hotel got a bit noisy, although it is a ‘venue’ so you have to expect that. The lightening in the room was quite dark and I’d have liked the shower to be warmer and more powerful.

Breakfast excellent plenty of choice, room was nice and warm, beds very comfortable and staff helpful and friendly.

The room could have been brighter especially where the wardrobe was situated. The service in the restaurant could have been a little quicker.
