Julie was the perfect host and welcomed us before I'd even managed to ring the doorbell. The house is beautiful and felt "Welcoming" everywhere - it just had a lovely feel about it. Parking at the rear of the property was perfect and it was an easy walk into Newport High Street with all of its shops, bars and restaurants. We had an early start on Sunday morning and it was no trouble for Julie to provide us with a superb breakfast at 7.30am - Julie you fortified us for our day rallying - we were seeded at 51 at the start and fuelled inside by your English breakfast saw us and our rally car reach the end all in one piece, being 36th overall. When we return to Newport in the future we will certainly aim to stay with you again. You really do provide a "Home from Home".

Nothing - it was all great. Just a shame we were only staying one night to participate in the Weaver Brothers Island Stages Rally.

Quiet location (even though it is opposite a pay and display car park), within easy walking distance of Newport centre. Private parking at the back. Not many guest rooms, so we felt we received a personalised service from the friendly owners. Very comfy large bed. Clean. Over bath shower had a good pressure and temperature and was very effective, although temperature setting was a bit fiddly to start with as there was no thermostatic valve. Kettle with a range of teas and coffee in the room. Pedestal fan kept us cool on the hot nights.

Nothing that we didn't like that rates complaining about it.

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and comfortable. Julie was an absolute gem - her kindness and hospitality shome through in every way. The breakfasts she cooked were absolutely delicious and, it was lovely to have such a warm and inviting meal to start our day. The house itself is beautifully maintained and has a lovely atmosphere. It's clear that Julie has put a lot of thought into creating a cozy and welcoming space for her guests. But what really stood out to us was Julie's accommodating nature. She went out her way to make sure we had everything we needed and was always happy to offer helpful advice or assistance. She's a genuine person with a heart of gold and it's clear that she genuinely cares about her guests.

The property was ideally located being just outside the town centre and the free parking was a bonus. The room was comfortable and quiet although a little dated. The bus interchange was about 10mins walk away and the island has a very good bus service centred on Newport). The cooked breakfast was good. Friendly and helpful host.

A little more variety in the breakfast options (especially something lighter) would have been good. The breakfast room has only two tables so some pre-arrangement of breakfast times is required.

Julie was a fantastic host, incredibly kind and accommodating, and her accommodation was a great find on the island, comfortable, conveniently located, and with a very homely feel too (and a cat). About a seven-minute walk from the bus station in Newport, with great access to many of the island bus routes. Julie also went out of her way to make small talk with my partner, whose first language is not English - this added a lot to our stay, and was definitely appreciated. Can happily recommend Old Church House.

Traditional B&B. Location good..in a quiet street easy 10 minute walk into centre of town. Room plain but comfortable and an adequate shower. TV tiny and Wi Fi variable but that might have been our allocated room. Cooked breakfast was ordered the night before and cooked freshly in the morning, Cereals and breads juice and coffee readily available.

Julie has thought of everything needed for a comfortable stay. The room was spotless and breakfast was delicious! Julie has a very nice manner with nothing too much trouble making us feel very welcome. The location for us was perfect and we were able to walk everywhere we needed in Newport. Great parking space with plenty of room for our large car. I highly recommend Old Church House.

Nothing - everything was perfect!

I had a wonderful stay at the Old Church House, It was in such stark contrast to the place I had stayed the night before! I felt welcomed and instantly at ease in the house. The room I stayed in was lovely and felt larger than I'd expected. I had everything I needed. I was able to fully relax and slept soundly in the comfy bed. Breakfast was delicious and I was set up for a great day.

Our room was very clean and pleasant and had everything we needed, it faced onto a road and a car park with bright lights, but despite this we weren't disturbed by traffic noise, and a black out blind helped keep the light out. Our host Julie was super friendly and helpful, and advised us on good places to eat, all of which were in easy walking distance. Even though she had to head off to work by 9am Julie served us, and her other guests, a delicious cooked breakfast. Our only minor complaint - bigger sausages would be nice.

Julie is very nice. The house is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable and convenient. The surrounding area is super quiet. Parking is convenient and there are ample parking spaces. The breakfast was very authentic. It was the most delicious food I have had this spring. I will never forget it. The beauty of the place and the kindness of the people were so touching that we wanted to move here.
