My room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. There was plenty of parking space behind the hotel. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and was excellent. The lady serving breakfasts was friendly and helpful. I was able to get a good evening meal at the Roebuck pub, just a few doors up the street.

Visitors are directed to the back of the hotel, to enter the building from the car park. The car park is accessed by a very rough track and, at first glance, the back of the hotel looks a bit dodgy. However, all is fine and it's just unfortunate that the first impression isn't a correct representation of what it's actually like.

Easy self check in with keypad entry to the main doors and your room, easy to find and only a 1 mile walk to town centre. 25 min walk or a few minute drive. We were staying the night before the Tough mudder and needed to leave at 7.30. We booked for breakfast included but we wasn't aware that breakfast is served from 8am on weekends. Using the what's app chat link provided in the welcome email pack We messaged customer services to ask if anything could be provided for our earlier departure. The response was quick and they kindly offered to open the breakfast area 1 hour earlier so we could eat before we left. The breakfast was well stocked with lots of options and the staff came out to take a hot food order. Thanks for the kind offer.

The self check-in was very well organized and when we had a question, the member of staff employed to field calls answered promptly and was extremely helpful and accommodating. The room was small but clean and comfortable. The bed and bedding were fantastic so we were able to have a great sleep, especially with the windows cracked and the fresh air coming in. The location was great, next door to a lively pub as well as the bus stop, and just a 30-minute walk to the center of town. The woman who takes care of breakfast was very professional, helpful, and efficient. There are many continental as well as hot breakfast options. We enjoyed our stay and found it excellent price-quality!

Nothing in particular. The bathroom had a bit of an odd set up but once you accepted that, we didn’t mind it too much.

It is very efficiently run. The self check-in works really well. The room was basic but comfortable and everything was very clean. The bathroom was warm and the shower excellent. Our cooked breakfast was really tasty and the variety of foods on the buffet was good. The lady who served us was very friendly and cheerful.

We could have done with instructions on how to work the radiator in the bedroom. It was a cold evening and the radiator kept turning off. The doors around us could do with having their hinges oiled as they squeaked, which was disturbing every time someone came past. I would have liked decaff coffee in the room, but there was no-one at reception to ask. These are very minor points though. We had a very good stay.

Self check was very efficient and all the information was provided for this in plenty of time. The room was basic but very comfortable and cozy and with enough facilities to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast was fantastic with a good choice of tasty food and was very substantial. The staff were very cheerful and friendly. Lovely location with a peaceful view out of the back. The room was well cleaned in the morning and the brew kit was replenished.

Poor instructions on how to get in if you didn't have access to your email - there's no reason the sign on the door can't say to put your hand over the pad to activate it. Room 7 is NOT suitable for 2 people due to the size & shape: far too much furniture in there to be able to move comfortably, bed was not a full size double. It was extremely hot and the water pressure was lacking.

The self-check in procedure. No need to worry about keys. Very clean rooms and excellent breakfast with cheerful, welcoming staff. Very good location on the way to the Dales.

My sister and mother had problems with the soap dispensers in their bathrooms. The ITV and other commercial channels on my mother's flatscreen TV were not working properly so she couldn't watch the EURO football shown on these channels and found herself limited to BBC1.

The hotel was a little dated in the decor but for the price you pay you can't really complain. It was clean, quiet and the self check-in went fine. Having someone on a reception would have been nice - the hotel just felt 'empty' and lacking something, just couldn't put my finger on it. The breakfast however is WELL WORTH IT. The ladies taking orders and cooking were EXCEPTIONAL. There was SUCH a good variety of things to eat and you don't leave feeling hungry!

Checking in was very good. Everything was explained in the booking. Room was bright - clean , warm and everything was "first class". The breakfast - well that was "brilliant". Any kind of cereal was on display, fresh fruit, yoghurts etc. We had the full English - (good job we weren't running a marathon) it was well presented and everything on the plate was hot. This is certainly a "gem" of a place. If the occasion arises again - we would certainly book it.

Absolutely nothing

Clean and comfortable accommodation really good breakfast and the two ladies were wonderful.

Initial room allocated had very poor head room in the loft area of the building in both sleeping area and bathroom BUT contacting the proprietor that was sorted swiftly and we had a good size downstairs bedroom which was important when staying for 9 nights.
