The staff were professional, knowledgeable and very helpful. The greeting was delightful and every member of staff with whom we had an interaction was outstanding and welcoming. I dropped my wallet in the main coffee lounge and after several attempts at contacting me, one of the staff knocked on our door in the evening and gave it to me! I was astonished and when I offered to show my appreciation by offering a reward he was very embarrassed abd refused any kind of reward. Outstanding honesty and customer care. I very strongly recommend this establishment as it is run by genuine people who care about their guests. Breakfast was excellent and overall, the stay represented outstanding value for money.

Inexpensive accomodation, no frills but spotlessly clean, comfortable and well-maintained. Convenient location for Headingley and the University district, easy to reach Leeds City Centre. Hinsley Hall is an oasis of calm, set in an extraordinary, gothic-looking, 19th century former college within lovely grounds. There is free parking available in the grounds. A plentiful buffet breakfast is included to set you up for the day. While there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms, each floor has a kitchenette where you can make hot drinks and there is also a hot drinks machine and daily newspapers in the lounge on the ground floor. This was my second stay and I have booked again for my next trip to Leeds.

No complaints, exactly as described and met my requirements.

Very clean and convenient accommodation. So you know, it's a conference centre for the Catholic diocese of Leeds, so the rooms are functional, like student halls, and there is religious iconography on the ground floor, but that's fine by me. Very quiet, and convenient for Headingley. The breakfast was great, served canteen style in a lovely light dining room. There is a cosy bar and a lounge, with free tea, coffee and hot chocolate at any time. There are also kitchenettes on the corridors, with a tea machine and an iron. There are lovely grounds with a historic feel. If you want luxury, it's not the place for that, but it is reasonably priced and good for what you get. It's mainly used for conferences and business meetings - there was an NHS conference when I was there.

My husband and I were attending an event at First direct arena and accommodation in Leeds city centre was extremely expensive. Hinsley Hall was very well priced and included breakfast and free parking. We just booked the basic double room and it was comfortable, clean and perfectly good for our stay. The breakfast was plentiful and very good - Fully cooked breakfast available as well as cereal, fruit juice, yogurt, fruit, toast and jam, tea and coffee. There is also a guest area where you can use the coffee/tea/hot chocolate machine at no extra cost. A taxi ride into Leeds centre takes about 5-10 mins and is not expensive. There is a bus stop a couple of minutes walk away so getting into the centre is perfectly easy. We will certainly stay here again should we need Leeds accommodation

The room was clean and newly decorated but felt more functional than most hotel rooms. It was well furnished with a comfy bed, desk, chair and TV. Good sized shower room and plenty of hot water and towels. The breakfast room contained several large round tables that you share with other guests. There was a good selection of well cooked self service breakfast foods and hot and cold drinks. You would be hard pressed to not find something that you liked to eat. Big carpark but a bit of a walk to main entrance. It served me well for my one night.

They need signs in the car park to direct you to reception, a little confusing and a bit of a walk.

It was a great location , the Building and Grounds are fantastic, lots of parking and easy booking in at Reception. The rooms are lovely and everything is clean from reception to Corridors the Room is nice it has everything you need, the Toiletries were a nice surprise did not expect this for the price, of the room. There is free Tea & coffee Facilities which has all the Brands good variety the Breakfast was great a big choice, the Dinning Room is big and bright and had a nice atmosphere. I Will definitely book again if I am in the Area. Wonderful stay so tranquil, even though they had the Leeds festival at the weekend and and the Headingley fancy dress which I believe happens every weekend. You can't fault this a lot better than other Hotels, you need to try this Hotel .

Nothing - Great Stay!

Although thus is a really affordable place to stay in Leeds, the ambience of Hinsley Hall is excellent. A place if quiet peace in the middle of a bustling city. The building itself is stunning and tge grounds beautiful abd accessible. The staff are friendly helpful and approachable. The rooms are basic but immaculately clean and again quiet and peaceful. Free tea, coffe etc in the kitchens by your room and in tge sitting room downstairs. The dining room is spacious and again immaculately clean. Breakfast was a lovely buffet.

I parked my car under a tree for shade on arrival and went to use it at the end of the next day and had to wade through a puddle over my ankles to get to the car. Maybe a warning sign or more disabled spaces for those who need to park near the hall.

Maybe the parking lot potholes need more attention, very muddy. I had a problem with noisy pipes in the bedroom I was given, flagged it to reception and was moved next door right away, these issues happen in old buildings but as it was rectified immediately I can't complain. I personally would rearrange the first bedroom make it look more inviting (no bedside lamp is not ideal, it needs warmer colours and a bit of love)

Hinsley Hall is a conference centre with hotel accommodation run by the Catholic diocese of Leeds. Parking is abundant, pretty secure and free. The reception area appears newly updated and staff are helpful and friendly. There is a common room with free coffee/tea and also a bar, although we didn't use the latter. The room we were assigned was clean and had a large bathroom with a decent shower. Wifi was free and had very impressive download speeds. Breakfast was included and was excellent and plentiful. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, albeit mostly quite studenty, but we had a very nice Thai at Zaap a bit further up Headingley Lane.

Not much - the accommodation has a certain institutional feel and the room felt a bit dated. The beds were a little bouncy for my taste. But otherwise great, even though my partner is suspicious of religious organisations and was slightly freaked out by the nuns, but they seemed harmless enough!

The lady on reception was very welcoming and helpful. She helped with details about taxi's and buses. Everywhere was very clean. The room was very basic but we knew this when booking and this was reflected in the price. The bed was comfortable and there was no issue with noise. There were plenty of free car parking spaces. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and drinks were available at all times from the lounge and kitchens.

The paintwork in the room could be refreshed and there was an issue with the bathroom door handle and the top of the cold tap, but nothing major. The hot water in the bathroom gets very hot.
