A very well cooked and presented breakfast with perfect poached eggs served by the cheery, friendly housekeeper. (Yvonne?) The well sized room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and well equipped with good bedlinen and fluffy towels and all the little extras. Only had dinner one night but it was most enjoyable and the different dishes we sampled were all delicious. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Felt most comfortable as a single elderly woman guest .

The back entrance used by quests does not give a good impression and really needs improving. I suggest the doors to the kitchen and laundry cupboard are left closed as that too does not create a good image as a guest has to walk past both to reach the dining area. Wifi a bit "iffy" at times.

We stayed here during a cycling trip. The staff were fantastic, really helpful. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Good tea and coffee make Ng facilities and a very good shower. The beds were very comfortable. We were there on a very hot night and the fan provided was really effective at cooling the room.. there was a really good choice for breakfast, and everything was well cooked and well presented. We appreciated the good bicycle storage facilities. A perfect location for us, in a pretty village, a well kept and attractive property. Highly recommended for a night or longer.

We were greeted upon arrival by the friendly, polite and very helpful members of staff. Nothing was too much trouble to them. Colin and his team provided delicious, freshly cooked food to a very high standard. It's a great location with lots of places to explore nearby. Will definitely visit again and would certainly recommend it. Thank you to everyone for making our stay special 😊

The staff stayed up to check me in even though really they had closed an hour earlier. They were friendly and kind. Good car parking. Excellent room with immaculate bedding, a good night's sleep. Breakfast in the bar was leisurely and good value. Good wifi in a quaint building with cheerful staff. I enjoyed being there.

Nothing really. Everything was great. I thought the stay was very good value for money. After leaving the Half Moon, I dropped in on the Jane Austen House and Museum in nearby Chawton, and had a lovely day. The countryside is beautiful and there's plenty to see and do.

We have stayed here many times and will continue to do so when visiting family and friends. The rooms are comfortable and clean thanks to the lovely Yvonne who always has a smile. The owners are friendly and always on hand to help with a query. The breakfast is always good home cooked food. The location is also great you are very near to the A3 and also Petersfield with lots of local amenities surrounded by beautiful countryside.

Friendly staff when we arrived and through dinner. Nothing was too much trouble. We did order a breakfast take out but it wasn’t ready for when we needed to leave so we had to go without it. The man putting it together was a little brusque and I also saw him through the window put the food in the container with his fingers which did not instil me with confidence. The rest of the staff were great and we really enjoyed our dinner the previous night. The room was really comfortable and the shower was good too. Great value for money. Lovely garden area too.

A really comfy bed and a decent quiet fan helped us sleep. The breakfast was excellent and the staff most helpful.

The sound insulation between rooms was non existent. And the decor and fittings are very tired. Little things like our room having no table or desk to put things on; the bathroom shelf not fixed properly to the wall; nowhere to hang a hand towel other than the overcrowded heated rail. The place needs some money spending on it.

Breakfast was fine. The location was good, especially for getting to local attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful. The shower worked well but the hot water supply to the basin was very slow to come through and the pressure was minimal. There were not enough places to put things down in the bedroom - just one small dressing table, half of which was taken up by the tea tray, and nowhere to hang or put things down in the bathroom. Just one chair in a room for 2 people. Otherwise very good.

The owners/staff were very accommodating when we requested an early check in as we were going to a wedding and wanted to change our clothes and drop our bags off beforehand. They also supplied taxi numbers as we didn’t know the area and looking on internet proved fruitless. The bedroom and ensuite were clean and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. When we arrived at the pub they were friendly helpful and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

Rooms spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Good size en suite bathroom. Ideal location for exploring the local area and only 30 mins to the coast. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and served fresh and hot. Lovely gardens to enjoy the beautiful weather with a drink. And plenty of free parking.
