Not sure where to start, if we could give this b&b a 20/10 we would. Our room was very special, with high ceilings, a standing bath, walk in shower and one of the most comfortable beds we slept in. I was slightly worried about the temperature in the room because it’d be a 30 degrees day, but it was all very doable and a Dison fan provided for extra cooling down. The hosts were fantastic and so was their cooked breakfast. With the central location and beautiful designed b&b it felt like a real holiday, as much as coming home, every detail was thought through and the roof terrace was an extra bonus to catch beautiful sunsets. Would absolutely return!

The town of Rye was smaller than I expected, but this accommodation was conveniently located about 3 minutes from the station and St. Mary's Church. It can be inconvenient to walk with a suitcase on a cobbled road, but this street doesn't have that problem. The owner, Jeremy, was very friendly and helpful without being overly familiar. The room and the whole place were clean and comfortable.

Considering that you will be staying in a historic building that is different from your everyday life, some inconvenience is understandable.

This is a very small property managed by the host who is friendly and helpful. We had the 'superior' room and it was superlative! There is a small lounge and a roof terrace (but requires a bit of agility to access). The WiFi was consistently reliable. Breakfast was very good. The property is within the historic part of Rye, but has very good access to public transport being a short walk from the bus & train station.

There were only roof-lights in the room and no apparent way of increasing the ventilation - but that's a very minor niggle.

Fantastic accommodation and town. Amazing roof top terrace. Massive beautiful room. Yummy breakfast. Friendly staff. Cheap parking once you could get a space. Such a beautiful place

Fighting for a parking space. I think it was cause it was a Friday lunch time, managed to park on the road for 2 hours for 80p then move the car but very popular car park. Shame you had to return to the car to get ticket every 24hrs rather than get a ticket for the whole stay. Can’t fault number 5 though, just the public parking.

An exceptional property in a great location. We have found our new favourite place to stay. We booked the Superior room which is of an extremely high quality decor and furnishings. Our hosts Jeremy & Paul were very welcoming and helpful with restaurant tips. Breakfast was delicious and varied. We will be back!

We liked everything! The room was stunning, large and beautifully decorated with superb bath and shower. The location was right in the centre of Rye and so perfect for walking everywhere. There were a variety of breakfast choices, all excellent, and all delicious - the host makes his own bread which tasted wonderful. The host himself was friendly and informative. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend!

Position in centre of town and close to buses and trains. Comfortable modern bathroom in old fashioned setting. Cooler duvet provided when requested. Great breakfast. Roof garden.

Only the sloping floors and low windows that might be seen into from the street. These are unavoidable in an old property.

What wasn't not to like? Everything was perfect: the room, the bed, the nice host, the bathroom with the fantastic shower, the decorations in the room, which were very tasteful and last but not least the location. We would definitely come back here.

Nothing. Everything was perfect.
