The hotel location was ideal with easy access to the sea front via the lift tram around the corner and a short walk from various places to eat in the evening. The beds were very comfortable and the room had a good selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The breakfast was also delicious! :-)

It would have been nice to have a bottle of water each rather than one small bottle to share. Note: there is a shop a short walk away to get more water or other supplies if required. Finding a parking space was a bit of a challenge, but there are plenty of options available as advised in the property details.

Clean, comfortable, big room, lovely blackout curtains, ironing board & iron in room, hot drink selection and water in room, big bathroom and decent shower, large bath towels, nice lighting, storage, earplugs, WiFi.

It was really noisy throughout the night of drunk people outside which is no fault of the hotel but worth mentioning as it was loud. Also floor boards creaking and doors shutting within the hotel as people were getting in late as it is an old building but as said above earplugs are provided if you can/will wear them.

The hotel was lovely,looked nice on arrival from the front clean, lovely flowers on entrance. The welcome was friendly. Our room were clean,tidy,shower was fine,but we had to be careful were the shower head was on as cracked. Owners of the hotel were very friendly. All staff were exceptionally friendly especially at breakfast,their uniform brought back a feeling of professional and nostalgic of period. Breakfast was well catered for everyone!, varietys of cereals,juice and continetal to choose from. Our cooked breakfast was hot. The area to sit and watch tv or just chill was cosy, tidy,clean and bright. Be nice if bar was open or information on time, even if just a coffee,tea machine was available,we would feel like chilling in the evening.

The hotel was centrally located to the town, and the beach promenade. Breakfast was beautiful.

Parking the car was a bit hit and miss and wasn't included in the hotel price. The seagulls were very noisy all day and night and made a mess of my car. The lift access to the floors was fully working but old fashioned, and if another guest didn't shut the doors on the lift, it was stuck on that floor, and no one else was able to use it.

The information the lady at the desk gave us was very helpful with the lift and other things and she was lovely with a warm attitude

My friend left her key on the step while she was having a cigarette and the man that owned it was very abrupt with her about it, She did tell him she has problems with her mental health and quickly forgets things but still was very abrupt and she felt he was unapproachable.

Location was great and hotel was clean bed was very comfy and staff were very polite and friendly, breakfast was lovely, but unfortunately wasn’t keen on the taste of the sausage but that’s just my preference, they’re was plenty of breakfast options and excellent service by staff

Obvious as it’s a busy seaside town, but great if the hotel had parking but I understand this probably is t possible

My favorite place to stay when visiting Scarborough. The bedrooms are well equipped, and extremely comfortable. The breakfasts and staff can not be faulted. A truly enjoyable stay and I can highly recommend the Riviera Guest House to any visitor to Scarborough.

I can't fault anything

Very clean. Comfortable bed. Excellent location. Stayed in many hotels at Scarborough as I visit 2/3 times a year this was up there with the best if not the best

The lift didn’t let me in so had to walk upstairs. Was fine going down morning after. Lovely old lift don’t see them like that anymore wouldn’t change the style just tweak the reliability issue also some sticky orange stuff on hand rails leading upstairs

The room was spacious with comfy beds. Breakfast was excellent, there was such a huge selection to choose from & the staff were very friendly & helpful. The Easter chocolate left in our room was a lovely unexpected surprise. Location wise the hotel is well situated to all shops, cafes, bars etc. Parking is difficult at busy times but you can always drop off in the loading bays & then park in the multi storey, literally 2 minutes walk around the corner, bonus as it is undercover (away from the pesky seagulls!) Would highly recommend this hotel.

The noise of the seagulls in the morning is a bit of pain but we didn’t lose any sleep because of them. The hotel provides ear plugs should you need them.

- Facilities were everything we could possibly need. - Location is ideal. Close to Train station and beachfront. - Fairly priced for location - Staff friendly and helpful

- Decor in room could be updated and more modern. Room also needs maintenance as a previous leak in roof had left an unsightly stain - Pillows were poor. Flat and thin. Preference for thicker pillows. - Shower wasn't great. Could be updated and shower head had weak pressure and felt cramped. - Room was stuffy and hot, being on 3rd floor. Fan was provided but made little difference
