Stunning property in seclude area. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was good, fresh and plentiful. Thing were generous - the soap was a decent size / the glasses for the breakfast juices were also a decent size. After checking out of the hotel we mentioned that we were going to walk around the park and were offered, free of charge, sparkling water. A small gesture that spoke volumes.

Really had a very pleasant stay and everything was fabulous.

Beautiful building on a beautiful and peaceful country estate. They were super friendly staff , lovely comfortable and warm room with a gorgeous balcony. Great bathroom and tea and coffee facilities. The waiters in the restaurant were impeccable. Attentive , but without being intrusive. Very helpful and real gentlemen. Thank you especially to Marc who had a fabulous sense of humour too. Both of them on Saturday night were a huge credit to the hotel. Food was gorgeous, lovely open fire and relaxed atmosphere. Will be back.

The breakfast was wonderful, plentiful, and lots of choice in a lovely sunroom. The hotel is set in a grand, picturesque location surrounded by fields within which is a lake, Beds are very comfortable with French doors opening onto a patio, looking across the fields. An 14th century church is in walking distance, and pleasant walks in the nearby wooded areas. Lovely part of the world, real England.

Hotel is everything you should expect of a 5 star hotel with nice big rooms comfy beds and well equiped bathrooms. the restaurant although expensive is worth it as the food is very good the staff are very attentive its juyst the drinks that are rather expensive especially the wine.

there was a number of cracks in the cealing of our room and it looked as if they had had a leek at some point but this had not been repaired.

The breakfast was very good, had so much choice. Dinner was also very good with some beautiful wines to offer. The room we had was the "Winston Churchill" suit which was very large and has a great view of the grounds. All the staff are great nothing is ever a problem. This was our 2nd time staying here, we will 100% be returning.

This is the most beautiful Georgian house in acres and acres of picturesque parkland. The feature that made our stay so special, however, was the wonderful treatment by staff. They went out of their way wherever possible to make our days comfortable, even learning the dog’s name and remembering just what drinks we have for breakfast before ordering. Superlative service!

The staff was very helpful, kind and efficient. Breakfast very good. The garden, , park peaceful and nice. The bar very good.

Taxi - arrangement from the train station was not very organized ( none of the telephone numbers of the taxis answered!!! and the receptionist could not help either, though she tried!) The sound insulation between the rooms was not great!

Staff were welcoming and helpful, the grounds and location were beautiful.

There was some noise from what I’m guessing are water pumps which ran occasionally during the night, which disturbed an otherwise very peaceful night. Breakfast was very slow in being served and some of the requested breakfast was forgotten.

We were lucky to visit on a quite summer day and found the place wonderfully relaxing. It combines an elegant architecture of Italian inspiration with a quintessentially romantic English landscape. The rather classic interiors may at first sight recall the uptight atmosphere of a gentlemen's club but the staff could not be more friendly and welcoming which results in a pleasurable experience even for a family with children. To top it all, the food served at breakfast and dinner at the restaurant in the beautiful "orangerie" is of the highest quality, at a very reasonable price. One final remark: in case you like travelling by train, and only have a small bag or backpack with you, the most wonderful experience is reaching the hotel on foot from Buxted station via the footpath that crosses the deer park, veers around the lakes and then climbs up to reach the hotel from the garden side... (it is only a 15min walk overall).

The staff were all outstanding. Friendly and helpful. Lovely building and location.

Breakfast wasn't great. I could have cooked far better sausages and bacon myself. The overall decor for such a gorgeous building was incredibly sparse so it could do with more pictures and furniture.
