Our stay at Mafolie Hotel was truly unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home with their warm and friendly hospitality. It's rare to find such a laid-back vibe paired with impeccable, family-style customer service, but Mafolie nailed it. The views from the hotel are absolutely unparalleled—waking up to those stunning panoramas was a highlight of our trip. Whether we were lounging by the pool or enjoying a beer, the scenery was always breathtaking. The relaxed atmosphere made it easy to unwind and enjoy every moment. The Staff at Mafolie Hotel were nice. Geneva, Elise and the Breakfast Attendant were very nice and pleasant with all guests. Geneva went out of her way to ensure that we were able to go on a guided Tour to view some of the beautiful sites in St. Thomas. The Cleaning staff were very pleasant and courteous. The Mafolie Hotel is beautiful with lush tropical flowers and trees all over the place. I felt like I was in Paradise. The view throughout the Hotel facilities were OMG, WOW! WOW! and BREATHTAKING. (:-).

Please change the Shower Head in the tub and add air fresheners in the bathroom.

This is a great hidden gem of a hotel. The location is perfect for getting around (with a vehicle). The view is stunning. The rooms are large and cute. We had a junior suite with a balcony. I could sit there for days. The pool is small but clean with a gorgeous view of the marina. The restaurant on site is delicious and so convenient when you've been out and about all day and just want a quiet yummy spot to watch the sun go down. (The fish is very fresh and tasty.) The free breakfast is NOT a cheap continental pastry and coffee disappointment. We had delicious omelettes, french toast with apples, fresh fruit, eggs with sausage and bacon, etc., and loads of coffee. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Steven, the owner, is so down to earth and great for recommendations. I will absolutely stay here again. I love the idea of helping a local small business owner in a boutique hotel. Even if you stay somewhere else, check out the restaurant. It's delicious and the wait staff are great.

The bathroom for our room was teeny and the vent rattled, but I didn't care. It was large enough to get a shower and take care of business. And it was very clean. Street parking can be a challenge if you have a rental car (which I recommend), but we always managed to find a spot. Parking spots become available after the restaurant closes. Not the hotel's fault, but worth noting: The only GPS you can rely on in St. Thomas is Google Maps. The others will take you through crazy alleys and stuff. Stay on the designated "highways" and you'll get to the hotel just fine. Remember to keep left!

The location was amazing, on the hillside overlooking the harbor. Breakfast with a view. The staff are proud of their hotel and their island and took good care of us. The room was comfortable. It is a small hotel, quirky and rustic in a natural way.

The 2017 hurricanes took a terrible toll on the island, and life is slowly getting back to normal. There is a lot going on behind the scenes in St, Thomas which makes it interesting. The island is clean, the people are friendly, proud and determined.

I loved the view...the view the view. So great! I would book a room with a view 100%. We did not go in the pool but it looked great..we were there for a short time. Also staff was super friendly!

It was not their fault but the restaurant was closed due to staffing shortage but they moved us to a nicer room, which was great. The breakfast is mid, so if that is your purpose for staying here I would not go for the breakfast.

Great view from our room, good size room. Close to the St Thomas airport and other areas of the island we like to visit frequently. Shower was too small. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open during our stay this time we stayed. That was a big disappointment since we love their food for dinner and breakfast. I do recommend The Mafolie if your looking for a good place to stay on the island.

The view was extremely breathtaking, it was better than the photos! The staff were helpful and kind. It felt like a 'private' hotel with not too many people in the common areas. It was truly paradise!

The breakfast wasn't the best as far as taste and variety options. I would suggest more seasoning or have more seasoning options available for people to add on. I would also suggest opening the bar up during the day, it was really disappointing not being able to lounge and have a drink by the pool during the day time.

Mafloie Hotel is a beautiful hotel. Very romantic, great views. We had 3 rooms. Tho 2 of the rooms were small you really do not spend a lot of time in the room. The Air Conditioning is perfect. Hot water great, Bathroom spacious. The pool was beautiful (even tho there was construction nearby). Excellent views, great place for hanging out, chatting, beveraging. The onsite restaurant is a plus and served excellent food choices.

The traveler must be aware. The Mafolie Hotel is NOT within walking distance to activities and other restaurants--the narrow and steep roads make walking not an option. So every time you leave/return to the property you are paying for a taxi. Depending on your group this can be costly. In general a taxi ride is $15 per person. (No uber/lift on the island). The floors in the rooms are pretty dirty. The bathrooms are very clean. The service in the hotel restaurant is quite slow, so you simply can not be in a hurry. For example, time to sitting down to 1st beverage (even water) is more than 45 minutes. THE FOOD IS TASTY.

Very welcoming staff. We were upgraded to a better/bigger room without requesting it. We enjoyed the fabulous view while having happy hour in the lounge. April was a friendly and fun bartender. Breakfast was good and the woman serving was charming and accommodating. The bed was comfortable and the room dark and quiet - we had a great night's sleep.

The hotel is a little run down but we thought it added to the charm, and clearly work is being done to repair/renovate.

Location was great, stunning view, excellent staff and very comfortable room. The staff was accomodating to our needs which we are very appreciative.

Due to hurricane Ernesto that had passed couple weeks earlier, the restaurant/dining area was damaged and being currently worked on. We felt bad for the hotel for losing this feature but look forward to our next stay knowing it will be back in operation.
