When we are passing by Tuscaloosa on I20 by car, we always choose to stay at this Embassy Suites downtown. Easy to get to, clean and safe. Excellent breakfast included (we like those employees preparing and serving breakfast, always friendly!). Room is split into three (combo kitchen, living room, bedroom and en suite bathroom. Very spacious for a couple.

When checking in this time, there was a group of four ladies checking in ahead of us. They monopolized the single registrar for an inordinate amount of time over what we considered to be fuss budget issues. Registrar should have either called for assistance or not allowed the ladies to monopolize him for so long.

The facility was very clean and in close proximity to dining options. We walked to our dinner choice. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool. The bed and pillows were super comfy!! Best sleep I've had in weeks. Breakfast was delicious and had many options. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

The only negative I would even bother to mention would be the amount of chlorine in the pool. Being indoors, your eyes burn from the chemicals. The kids didn't seem to notice when they were in the pool, but sitting around the pool, it was pretty strong. Honestly, that was not even a major issue. The door was opened, and an adult sat nearby to monitor it.

My husband and I are in our late 70's so we have stayed in many hotels but this was the best hotel experience we have ever had. Free breakfast buffet included which was awesome, there was even an omelet station. We enjoyed a free reception that included wine and beer and appetizers. Loved the restaurant where we were treated like royalty and served by Andrea and Dillon who were so friendly and attentive. The restaurant and bar was beautiful and food was excellent. The front desk person, Ondre, was amazing and also very friendly and helpful. Loved the room with a separate living area adjoining the bedroom. Everything was exceptionally clean and all the staff were always smiling, and greeting us. We honestly felt like VIP's. Loved the beautiful lobby area. This hotel was within a mile of the University of Alabama and convenient to any shopping you might need. We come to Tuscaloosa often because our grandson is attending the University there. This will be our go-to Hotel from now on.

There was nothing I didn't like. Everything was beyond our expectations. At every other there was always something I didn't like but I couldn't find anything at this hotel. This was our best hotel experience ever!

The property is beautiful and you can walk to several restaurants and shops by just crossing the street. This is a GREAT location. We were there to visit the university and it was literally a 5 minute drive. The sink in the bathroom was slow and i mentioned it when they texted me to see how everything was. I wasn’t expecting anything, just said it, no biggie; when we got back, it was FIXED. The chamber maids, front desk, culinary team- all of them were so pleasant and helpful. I didn’t want to leave!

ATM and pool were out of order.

It was centrally located to main little area with restaurants and bars. There was plenty of parking. My room was clean and snacks like: goldfish, snickers, sun chips, skittles, water, perrier, etc were awaiting me on the counter and in the mini fridge as a VIP perk. The breakfast dining area was clean and had plenty of seating.

There were no negatives points in my stay.

This place exceeded my expectations! The staff was friendly and professional from beginning to the end. The happy hour drinks and snacks were great (the salsa was so delicious). The room was so spacious and clean. The breakfast had a nice selection of choices. We will definitely stay here again. It was worth the money!

The location is great! Within walking distance of lots of shops and restaurants! The atmosphere is festive on game day weekend with shuttle service! The breakfast was fabulous!

Restaurant stated they were not able to accommodate gluten free. So we had to leave and go someplace else to eat.

My family and I stayed here for a few days and loved it. It exceeded our expectations. Beautiful lobby and rooms. The complimentary breakfast was FABULOUS! The chef and wait staff were really awesome. Lots of nice options for everyone in our family. There was an issue with the Hilton system when we arrived so no one could check-in. There were lots of families waiting to check-in, but Andre (I think that's his name) was OUTSTANDING. The situation could have been terrible, but he calmly took the lead and managed the maintenance and front desks staffs while helping the customers feel at ease. I'm not sure he's a manager, but he should be. He was actually checking people in on sheets of paper without a computer. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here!

Entering the parking lot is a little funky on the side of the building, but we adjusted to it during our stay. The evening reception advertisement looked promising, but the actual reception was just crackers and cheese and sliced cucumbers/squash. We were grateful to have it anyway since most hotels don't do evening receptions.

Here for our Anniversary. Enjoyed our stay. Great location. Nice lobby. Enjoyed the cocktail hour.

Hotel staff helpful and friendly with the exception of the man cooking the omelettes at breakfast. He was rude and acted like he hated his job. Everyone else was very nice.

Location, staff, food, overall cleanliness

Some television channels were spotty and there is no option for Netflix or Amazon Prime or other channels. The pool area needs to be supervised. Unruly children disobeyed all warnings.
