The staff were very friendly. This is close to Canyon de Chelly. We booked a tour of the canyon at the lodge, which was very convenient. The lodge has a cafeteria on site. We had 2 units next to each other. 1 unit had an upgraded, quiet heater. The other had an old heater that was noisy and couldn't be adjusted. We heated the room before sleep and turned the heater off during the night. The lodge is old but comfortable and conveniently located.

The food was very inexpensive and convenient, but mediocre The oatmeal for breakfast was good. The canyon tour vehicle was a rough ride in an open-air vehicle, which was cold with temps in the 50s, but the tour was inexpensive. There is a gift shop on site where we bought sock hats for the cold weather. Not a good ride for a bad back. The canyon floor is rugged terrain.

The room was adequate but the location was perfect for visiting Canyon de Chelly National Monument. The tours departed from here (from what we could see) and the restaurant was very reasonable in terms of range and prices. The gift shop was very well stocked. What really shone was the service. In particular there was a young lady at the front desk when we checked in on the 23rd September, and she was not only friendly but extremely professional. Their computers were down but she checked us in and told us what time our rooms would be available. She also ran through all the services available which I was very impressed with. Overall all the staff there were really friendly. The rooms were comfortable and had everything that we needed.

The accommodation is old, but it has been well maintained. My only wish might be that they had better toiletries but I am really nitpicking here.

Location is amazing in that it is safe, calm, quiet, peaceful and rich in nature. The environment is very therapeutic and soothing. Walking around it is clear to see the historical era of the south west, the 20th century, 19th century and centuries from the past of the land and the people. I appreciated the very clean room especially the bedding and premium linens and comfortable bed. The room had updated appliances, fridge, microwave, tv, and most importantly the instant coffee maker with green tree coffee. Customer service was top notch best in class.

The location was exceptional for exploring Canyon de Chelly National Monument as it is located right before the entrance to the monument. It is the main reason we booked our room at this hotel. The staff were welcoming, helpful and professional. Our room had a nice view into a courtyard with grass, trees, and many beautiful chirping birds. Ample parking. The room had everything we needed, all amenities available; refrigerator, microwave, iron and ironing board, luggage racks, television, coffee maker, toiletries, blow dryer and laundry service. The lobby has additional complementary coffee and tea available. Water and assorted drinks for sale. The property has a very well stocked gift shop. The restaurant next door is a cafeteria-style restaurant where you can eat breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks at an additional charge. We would stay at this location again and would recommend it to anyone wanting to explore Canyon de Chelly area.

The location was a quiet & pretty area, just at the entrance to Canyon de Chelly. The beds were very comfortable, room was very clean, there was coffee & tea available in the room for morning. We were only passing through so can’t say much else. We did eat supper in the cafeteria next door, there were only 2 items to choose from, but as we’d been driving all day didn’t want to drive back into town. The food was alright.

No complaints. Next time we’ll come during warmer weather so we can take the tour into the Canyon.

Lovely, quiet location in close proximity to Canyon de Chelly. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We slept well. The young lady working at the tour desk was helpful and took time to explain everything to us, and answer our questions. The internet connection was good. We ate twice at the hotel's cafeteria, once for breakfast and once for dinner. The meals were fine, but it was somewhat disorganized going through the food line and getting our meals. We enjoyed trying Navajo tacos that were tasty. It was a very nice experience to stay on the reservation, and to meet locals who were all very nice and professional. We would stay here again.

The hotel is clean, comfortable and located in Canyon de Chelly. There is a cafeteria on the property and the food is decent. Complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby. Trading Post has all kinds of Navajo art including woven blankets. I highly recommend taking their tour into the canyon. Reasonably priced, and a fun and informative way to see the ruins. Our guide, Harold was very knowledgeable, he also shared stories from his childhood in the canyon. The ride in the Pinzgauer vehicle was rough at times, so may not be right for everyone.

Bathroom was small.

Excellent location, comfortable bed, extra pillows without asking, excellent shower and hot water, excellent coffee maker.

The air freshener plug in . Those are awful and are chemical laden. Endocrine disrupting chemicals. You shouldn't use those ever. If the room is clean, there is no need to make it smell different. We had to unplug ours and set it outside and air out the room just to be able to breathe properly and fall asleep without respiratory issues.

What an amazing place, with birds chirping away all day long. You get a nice size room with small porch with chairs/table right in front. Ample parking. Seriously amazingly clean and comfortable beds - we had such a good night's sleep!! Microwave and fridge in the room were great since breakfast was not included.

You will notice a heavy duty plunger next to your toilet, so beware - small turds, big turds, all sizes of turds will likely get stuck (as we found out). No biggie for me, but hubby had to deal with that.

location was perfect, and tour was convenient

the tour was good, but for people like me and others who wanted to take some nice photographs, the driver never stopped for just a good view of the scenery. It was all about pictographs and ruins. I understand that explaining the history and culture is an important aspect, but it would be nice if there was a bit more balance for having us enjoy the scenic beauty as well - which is hard to do if the driver never stops or slows except at a cultural site
